Hey Sal what happened to the Ralph Lauren biker jacket? Is it like the Belstaff waxed cotton 4-pocket ones? Any pics?

R.M. Williams Yearlings in chestnut. The original Australian made riding boot/Chelsea boot, with uppers made from one single piece of leather with a single seam down the back. They can be dressed up but look best when they're beaten up and worn in a lot. I've had them about 4 years and they've had one half re-sole. Love these boots. First pic is before I gave them some conditioner, though it doesn't really show too much of a difference with the other 2 pics. I hadn't conditioned them for 4-5 months, as per usual. I guess it goes to show how good the leather is on these things.

They're beautiful. They're going on my list too. My girlfriend would love for me to buy another blue shirt.
There's not much on his website; any ballpark figure for what they cost? It almost looks like "take a number and double it".

You do realise those veg tan Birkenstocks are not an alternative to flip flops and that you're going to end up with both. (I hope you don't mind me deducing that from your posting history on here.)
They're going to look pretty amazing in a few years time, depending. They're also going to be unbelievably comfortable.

Man I hate flip flops. Gym shower, beach, washing my car, walking to my hot tub. That's it for flippers. Curious, but what do you wear with shorts? Between living in Dallas and Southern California, I've probably spent 75% of my evening and weekends in flip flops. Um, don't you wear jellies, Dude?

Received the tan x tan today. It looks like they've either A, run out of the pink houndstooth, or B, someone doesn't know the difference between that fabric and plain ol pink canvas. To wrap up the negatives, I didn't receive contrasting color barracks as requested, but this isn't a big surprise since this was identified as one of the sticking points lawless was apparently going to stop conceding to. They did take into account changes I requested later the same week that I put in the order. The fit is exactly what I was looking for, and these slim straights fit me very similar to my slim Gustin. Ordered a 35" waist, and minimal stretch is going to be required out of the denim. I love the texture far more than the color on the tan x tan, so I'm still thinking of an overdye, but these will probably be a nice color come summer. The construction is spot-on, though they're gonna get a more thorough inspection here in a bit. I am going to reach out to them over the pocket bags, though I'm largely very satisfied. I'm going to need to give them a day or so of wear before I can really evaluate the fit, but it initially feels pretty good, maybe a little nicer fit than fresh out of the bag gustins. Edit: will provide some pics later. One thing. The Lawless buttons are small, and I'm not a fan of it. They look great, but don't feel right to me -- they are most definitely adequate, but the feel of them is a step down from the hardware Gustin uses (when it's applied properly), though I will say I like the Lawless rivets better. Here's some pictures of tan x tan. They are a bit washed out, but this is a very light fabric, and probably destined for a dye job once I get them worn in a bit. "I told you so" Pink (this is seriously strawberry ice cream): A better pic of the fly detailing, very nicely done: Cuff detail (very accurate color representation), also shows how clean the workmanship is for most of this pair: Patch and back pocket: I don't know if this picture really has anything to offer: I can see why you might've asked for the pink houndstooth pocket-bags, but when they either ran out of it or just decided to go with something else anyway, why would anyone reach for that candy-floss coloured stuff? There are some truly bizarre things going on at LD.

That is really incredible that anyone could think that was an acceptable thing to do. And such a careless letter to explain it.
Can anyone offer any suggestions as to why these problems keep occurring? And why send things out that are so blatantly incorrect? It's not as if anything is being sent out wrong in order to meet the 8-10 week wait time: we're already well past that. How hard is it to hold up a finished item against its order form and check it all lines up before packing it for postage? If it's wrong, just don't send the f!@king thing and hold on to it in the limited inventory and sell it full price. I'm sure someone would have been happy to pay full price for a Type 2 in Candiani Raven shipped out the same day.
It's all pretty weird and very frustrating.
Aside from all that, the jacket looks tidy. I hope my type 2 arrives to something like the specs I ordered. It's #304, so I hope I'm not crazy to think it shouldn't be too far away now.

I backed the Zims and i know they're supposed to be amazing but I just don't think I want another pair Gustins and would rather get a bit of variety in the rotation.
As far as I know they're currenty in the sewing room so, who knows, they might be shipping fairly soon. Obviously it would be much easier to just have the shipping addressed changed directly rather than me send them to someone from Australia, so if you're interested get in touch and we'll sort it out.

Well, I just heard back from Lawless regarding my order. They were very apologetic and they said they will do whatever it takes to make things right. They asked me to send all three shirts back to them with a note of instructions for each shirt so they can make it right. They also said that they typically can get issues like this turned around within two weeks of receiving them. We shall see fellas. I'm wondering if I should ask if they can make the forearms bigger on each shirt? I would like that but I don't want to complicate the issue anymore than it is. what do you guys think? I ain't no tailor, but letting the forearms out on a shirt doesn't sound like the easiest job. Can it even really be done far enough without grafting some more fabric in there, making it look weird? Wouldn't it just be better for them to make you some new shirts from scratch (no reason it couldn't be done as a priority in 2 weeks) and then sell on the ones that didn't fit you (probably for more than you paid in the first place)? Unless those forearms really are like drinking straws..

Not to rain on anyone here, and whatever is going on with Sal I hope is okay, but I don't understand why everyone is bemoaning the loss of Sal at LD? I wasn't all that sure of what function he had with LD, and how he was much different than any of the other LD employees, in giving bad projections and estimates, without the power to give refunds or really do any actual CS work? The only thing that Sal's leaving does for me is make me feel more wary about the situation going on in LD. And how about Cody leaving Gustin? Doesn't that make you all scared and stuff too? I guess the difference is that with Lawless there's so much more interaction in the ordering process, so many variables. Sal was always helpful and enthusiastic in his role as go-between. Gustin have no need for a go-between because it's such a strict process: these are the items available, you can choose your size and shut up. All the customer service stuff, as far as I can tell, comes after delivery. Sal, while he was doing his thing, felt like our man on the inside at Lawless. Whether he actually had a notably positive effect on the efficiency of the company or the overall customer satisfaction is something we'll never know. Maybe the new, nameless Sal will be more effective. I guess we'll never know that either. None of this makes too much difference to the situation, and all the bitching and moaning on these boards and elsewhere doesn't change anything either. We're all still in the same boat: wait it out, because we paid a damn good price for some beautiful clothing - or bail, and jeopardise other deliveries and the future of a company we were all keen to see succeed.

www.rawrdenim.com/2015/03/how-the-trans-pacific-partnership-could-hurt-made-usa/An interesting denim-related angle to the many downfalls of the Trans-Pacific Partnership. It seems like this deal (and an equivalent deal across the Atlantic to Europe) is being sneaked through legislature across the globe. For some reason, they don't want us to know what's really going down. If you thought American manufacture was in a pretty bad shape, you ain't seen nothing yet.

Actually it's not a classic at all; it's a thoroughly modern take on the chat n cut.

I was told that the other four orders could be added to the one at the front of the list and get all of my orders at once. (It's been 3 weeks so I'll be calling them again this week.)A little shady letting my orders go in front of many others. I think this is behind the wacky out of order, orders being sent out.
-
Yeah that sounds to me like a classic "chat n cut". I won't stand for the chat n cut. Not cool.
Then again, if they let everyone chat n cut then we're back to where we started and everyone's equally happy and pissed off.

I think the pockets are very nice on this, Old26 . I like the shape. You're still looking at 3 yrs, though. The elk that jacket will be made of isn't even born yet. It's just a glint in the daddy elk's eye.

www.weargustin.com/store/1534If the Black2s really are like black Okayamas I wouldn't mind a pair, but I sure don't want to end up looking like the bloke modelling them. What's that outfit about? Is it a San Francisco thing? I'm going there later this year. Trust me, you won't end up looking like him. The Black 2s can definitely be rocked much differently than that and I seriously don't know whats up with that outfit. Seriously, what the hell is going on with that outfit? He's showing off this great big raw belt by badly tucking in his ill-fitting polo shirt, and he's also got these massive cuffs drawing attention to his mankles. The lean against the windowsill is so awkward and he's accentuated it with the awkward hand holding thing he's doing, which also shows off his watch that so horribly matches his belt and mankles and even his shoes. It's a complete disaster and I think I'm going to become a fashion blogger.

I think for me to buy some blackxwhite jeans they'd have to be from a bricks and mortar store and I'd have to try them on and love them. Black jeans for me are blackxblack with tonal stitching. I'm a traditionalist I guess. Thanks for the comparison though. Remarkably, and perhaps ironically, I can see the photos on imgur without them turning to a big black block as soon as they're loaded.

Lawless (LD) has their new "Elk Hide "Scout" jacket" up. www.ra-denim.com/elk-leather-scout-jacket/$899. Nice looking jacket. I'm somewhat torn though as jackets are not shirts or jeans. I've paid and will pay more than that for a leather jacket, but I'm slightly hesitant to go with an unknown for 9-large. Thoughts fellers? Posting this here as it likely gets lost in the jackets thread... They should do some gloves made of this leather. Unless it's supremely thick and stiff of course, but gloves in something like this would be classic. Order now in time for January 2016.

would someone please post a fit pic of the T shirts? I happened to be wearing one of them today. Sorry for the poor photography
Edit: That's a size medium, my usual t-shirt size. Is it just me, or is the grain of the material on the slant? Shouldn't it be dead horizontal? Have they misaligned the fabric on a t-shirt?

The scarves are an abomination.
And about 90% of the shirting patterns make me think "I wouldn't even consider a pair of boxer shorts like that." They're like a cross between frat-boy at the golf club and grandma's table cloth.
