I'd assume that if the Japanese organisation didn't buy Felco they wouldn't be operating at all right now.
Can anybody recommend a t-shirt like Felco's pocket t-shirt? Preferably in olive/khaki green, and for nothing like as expensive as Mister Freedom or Lady White or any other $90 items out there..

I've found a few shops on Rakuten that sell them, but none have much in stock. Too bad, as a good quality pocket T like that in olive or similar khaki is just what I'm looking for..

They look great. Where did you get that olive green one? Looked through the links you posted and couldn't find any in stock..

I've been seeing this coming for months... So, when Giles was here talking to us, he did say that IHUK *IS* Iron Heart outside of Japan... Any sales outside of Japan must be through him directly or his retailers. I can understand how IHJP and IHUK could be miffed about vendors in Japan breaking their agreements. I can SLIGHTLY understand why people would be upset about this business agreement, too... But, realistically the only reason you know about it is because they are honest and transparent with the consumers. Do this: Try to buy a pair of PBJ's from their website... Or, try to find a PBJ vendor in Japan. I bet you won't. That leaves you to pay HUGE prices through non-Japanese vendors. It's not an unusual or unscrupulous business practice if you look around. No it's not unusual or unscrupulous. The thing is that the way IH has been working (with certain items available wordwide through Rakuten at Japanese prices) seemed to me to be very smart business. Nobody would say IH have lost any cache or exclusivity by these deals; all they've done is gain customers. Of course, if they feel differently they're entitled to do whatever they like. I just think it's a shame.

I was under the impression that most Rakuten shops that sell Iron Heart stuff only have a few select items, while Rebirth and Craft sells all the IH Japan stuff but only within Japan.
Maybe I'm wrong and this is coming to an end. If so, it's a shame because the way it works now seems to be a very canny business model for IHUK. I'm sure I'm not alone in finding IHUK prices prohibitive, expecially for things I don't know for sure will fit or work for me.
I picked up an IHSH 33 from Rakuten and love it. I only did this because it was about half the price it would have cost me from IHUK.
I've been planning on picking up a pair of 666's from Rakuten, though I intend to first try a few pairs on in a shop that sells them near me (they are crazy expensive here..). I'm thinking if the 666 don't quite fit (and I'm not sure if they will), I might take IHUK up on their offer of finding a specific pair they have that are larger in the thigh, for example..
As well as that I've been eyeballing some of the things IHUK have in the pipeline, as well as an IHSH 75 that is not available on Rakuten. Point being, IHUK would never get any business from me without offering a few items at Japanese prices in the first place.

It is kinda of weird to hit all three on my list: Expensive, Slow fader and streaky. Yuck... Maybe you could get your tailor to swap the denim on them for something more fast-fading and uniform in colour.

I got a pair of these on Rakuten. They're beautiful. Can't wait for the Australian summer to finish so I can give them some wear.

Just got the indigo crosshatch WS in. I love the fabric! My fears were confirmed about the contrast stitching though. This would have been perfect with tonal stitching (and a pocket flap). Still, I'm considering keeping it. Didn't someone go over the stitching on one of their work shirts with a pen? I'm considering doing that. What do y'all think? Return or modify? I'd be more concerned about the fact that the right hand pocket is much closer to the centre—and noticeably lower—than the left.

I saw a beautiful pair of PBJ sulphur dyed black jeans in a store in Melbourne. They were made in collaboration with the store so don't know if they have any others anywhere else, though I'd imagine they would somewhere. I've been trying to talk myself of going back to get them ever since I left..

Wowee, looks like there's been some action in here while I've been away! lauraaa could you find out what's happening with #1422? It was an indigo denim shirt (can't remember exactly what we finally agreed on) ordered on November 30 2014. Thanks so much!

The shirt looks great, very tidy and really nice looking denim. My only concern would be how low that bottom button is..

After wearing them at work for a day, my synopsis is that 10" IS too high. I got home, and did what I know to do with new boots..... Throw them ok n a run of hot water! Many will say "Blasphemy!", but I know it WORKS for molding new boots... The fit was already GOOD, but it's GREAT now. And, I scrunched the shaft down while wet... Once again, many would say "BLASPHEMY!", but, I'm definitely happier now that they are shorter and not so pristine. Can you expand on what you mean here? What's the process? I'm waiting on a pair of engineer boots and I want them to look more like this as soon as possible.
By the way, your own boots look great, and they're only going to get better.

Its actually kinda hard to make real black. There isnt much black in nature. Im into homecinema and have never gotten a true black lighconsealer curtain, they all turn out deep purple or dark red from the outside sun sooner or later. The only truly black socks in the world are priests' socks. All other socks claiming to be black are just very, very, very dark blue. But the blackest thing in the world is the album cover for Spinal Tap's Smell The Glove.

I found this pretty comprehensive size chart, took some measurements and went for the 10D which is true to size to my foot. They arrived way ahead of time, about 6 weeks before I was told to expect them. The length seems ok but they're too narrow. I might just about be able to break them in but I don't want to try, so they're going back across the old Pacific Ocean. I'm going to go for the 10.5E, giving an extra .3" width and .15" length.

I wear a 10 (Aus/UK) in the RM Williams I wear most of the time. I've also got a pair of BedStuy boots that I got in the US that are a US 11 and labelled as a UK 10. These are big boots anyway, front heavy for sure, but I reckon I'd be better of with half a size smaller. If it means anything my Converse Allstars, one pair from the UK one from the US, both say they are both a 10 UK and 10 US. My hunch is that a 10.5 US in the Chippewa would fit. One day left on this great price at Shepler's! www.sheplers.com/Chippewa-Engineer-Boots-Steel-Toe/21076.pro?parentCategoryId=447&categoryId=0&subCategoryId=322

Is that how it goes?

Anybody got a pair of Chippewa engineer boots? I've been seriously considering getting a pair, but as there are no stockists in Australia I'll need to get them online. Got to get the sizing bang on first time.
I wear a UK/Aus 10, Euro 43/44, which I think is a US 10.5/11. The only pair of boots I have which width size is even an option I'm 1 size wider than the narrow option, i.e., standard, I think.. if that makes sense.
Any help would be great.

Got a Flat Head 7001r shirt from this man. Very helpful and easy to deal with, couldn't ask for anything more from a seller.

I haven't been on this thread for a long time—trying not to think about that order I'll never see.. These past 10 pages or so have been a pretty entertaining read. That Roman Acevedo guy has got brass balls. I can't tell if he's dumb as shit or an evil genius.
To this Jamison character: it seems you're getting way down in the hole. At most only one of you is going to walk away from this 1885 venture.

If it's unsanforized then 22" p2p would probably be perfect. Of course I'd happily pay postage. Could you let me know how much that would be?
I'm just off to work. Let's finalise this on private message.

By the size guide I found for this shirt at Rivet & Hide, the chest measurements are true to size. I think 44" would be too big on me. You say yours is a size 42 with a 44" chest (22" p2p). I'm a bit confused now. I also really think I need a Flat Head 7001.

Post-wash and the 400Ts are fitting almost exactly how I wanted them to. I got them at Rivet & Hide in London, and when I went in I said I wanted something that fit pretty much like the Gustin straights I had on, but with a taper. Aside from the marginally lower rise (which I can live with), that seems to be just what I have. If anything, they fit better all over. Trying on 15 pairs of jeans on a humid summer's day can pay off.
The texture of this denim after the water seems pretty special; seriously hairy with a subtle slubbiness. Apparently they fade real easily, so I'm looking forward to seeing these things develop.
