I've got a pair of UES 400T that I'm getting ready to give their first soak.
The denim these are made of is great—14.9oz of unsanforized, hairy, slightly slubby, deep indigo with a brownish weft. They're cut generous enough for my thighs and ass but with a slight taper. I'm expecting a real nice fit when they come out of the machine.
Anybody got any experience/opinions on these?

Wow. That is a very good looking pair of jeans. I'd be happy to end up with something like that.

Just a taad large, but after it's first wash and dry, I'm sure it'll be just right. I like it a lot. Keep lookin and I'm sure it'll pop up!

These look interesting and like the roomy top block tapered fits. Anyone know where a fit guide is for these bad boys?

Some time when you have nothing to do, could you post some measurements (pre A d post wash).? I think I'm right on the edge of it being to small and if it shrinks just a bit, I'm screwed.

They do look like a pretty perfect fit for me also. All of their fabric is made just for them and original to UES. Pretty nice. UGH. Haha. Alright, I'll add it to the list for when I blow a crotch or two haha. If you buy directly from UES at their "Rainbow County" (haha) site, they will hem for free. And ickes, I think you'd dig the fit of the shirts also. I find it to be a good lightweight (well, relative to IH) alternative for the hotter months. When it gets cooler, I am definitely in on one of their heavy flannels, which look great and a good value. Their indigo N1 deck jacket is also pretty killer. And their selvedge yarn-dyed chino, which also looks like a perfect fit. And sure thing, DigDug!

They both look good. I'm drawn to the indigo but I'd be more than happy with either.
I reckon unless you've got a good thing going with Gustin shirts fitting you to perfection you're better off spending a few dollars more for something like those shirts. Saying that, the Australian dollar is weak as piss right now so I'm not buying anything for a loong time.

whiskeyriver I'd go with the lighter Indigo. The dark one just looks heavy to be worn on a hot/warm day.

I hate the yoke on their workshirts. Seems to be designed for hiking with a backpack, but I think it would look severely out of place wearing it by itself.

Post-wash and the 400Ts are fitting almost exactly how I wanted them to. I got them at Rivet & Hide in London, and when I went in I said I wanted something that fit pretty much like the Gustin straights I had on, but with a taper. Aside from the marginally lower rise (which I can live with), that seems to be just what I have. If anything, they fit better all over. Trying on 15 pairs of jeans on a humid summer's day can pay off.
The texture of this denim after the water seems pretty special; seriously hairy with a subtle slubbiness. Apparently they fade real easily, so I'm looking forward to seeing these things develop.

Ok, here are the pre-wash measurements DigDug for a Size "5" from UES: Pit to pit - 23" Chest - 22.4" Seat - 22 1/2" Length from bottom of collar - 29.3" Truer color representation... The "I can't believe I'm taking a fit pic" face... A little baggy/wide at the moment, but I hope that corrects after washing. I will post post-wash pics when I get around to washing it.
