I was getting down on these for a bit, and then a pet-care incident resulted in them needing to be washed again. With a "meh, f!@k it" attitude I threw them in with a couple other indigo and blue items on a warm wash cycle (I had done the initial wash in cold). The warm wash seems to have decreased the length even more, the waist tightened but stretched right back out, and everything else tightened up a bit, now these are one of my better fitting pairs and I'm back on board with them. Also, the warm wash seems to have opened them up to fading a bit more, so they seem to have started moving along. How are the rest of you guys feeling about this pair nearing the two month mark?

I like them. They seem to be easy faders but I haven't really beat on them much to get any real fading. The low rise is a bit annoying but I'm getting use to it. I'm interested in how different each pair will be after a year. Should be cool to see how different they all look. I plan on tub washing them each month

I dig em. I will definitely dig them way more once April hits. And then they might be all I wear haha. They are seriously lightweight. I really believe these are under 12 oz. Also, after worn in, they sorta feel like pajama pants haha. They're pretty darn soft.

I've had nothing but good things to say until this evening when, upon turning them right-side-in after their first wash, I found an inkling of a hole along one of the fade lines. Pretty bummed.

I don't see these Antique's holding up very good over time. But that may just be the "Antique" part about them, if they are Darned, patched and stitched together. Would make for a cool pair if someone keeps at them over time.

Just a reminder, pictures of your Antiques should be uploaded to the Contest Pictures thread by the end of this coming weekend, March 6th. I think a few of you may have missed February picture time, but for the sake of keeping this interesting, I'd say amnesty is allowed as this has been a fairly loose contest. By now, I think a lot of these are going to be showing some decent fades (I know mine have some nice whiskers coming in, especially since I finally repaired them this week (burst buttons). If anyone thinks that there should be no respite for failed February pictures (or hell, maybe I'm wrong and everyone posted up), I'm not running this show, so speak up.

Got mine up. They're coming along, but I'm not wearing them enough to get serious fading.

I'll have pics, tomorrow. I needed to knock the dirt off. I just gave them their 2nd wash, and they're drying, now.

I'll try to get some up tomorrow. I've been away and haven't put much time in them this month so it'll be more of the same.

I'll try to remember. I think the dark weft makes these great looking indigo. Different than all the others I have. These are going to March Madness in Vegas later this week. Pair em with chucks in the casino and sportcoat, T-shirt and 1Ks for bottle service. Maybe denim tuxedo for Gary Clark Jr concert.

Did you get anything? Its way too cold for fishing here now, ice-cubes in the water. Took my daughter. We go a lot. We live in a neighborhood with a bunch of small lakes and large ponds, so we caught bluegill, crappie and largemouth bass and one bigass catfish.

Wearing these today and I keep asking myself "is this worth it?" Still have them on. The back rise is so low! Have to wear a Shirt with long tails.
When we're done this we should have a follow up contest and open it up to an experimental contest. I'd like to see what a commercial pressure washer would do to them.

When we're done this we should have a follow up contest and open it up to an experimental contest. I'd like to see what a commercial pressure washer would do to them. After a year of heavy wear they'd probably disintegrate under a pressure washer. Heavy denim these ain't. They're mostly weekend wear for me since they're just a little too casual for me to feel comfortable with them in the office except for the occasional Friday. In my case, though, the antiques are one of my better fitting pairs, but the rise on my straights ended up being equivalent to my similar sized slims.
