This is the piece of info that I was looking for and didn't even know I needed it - thank you! I am going slim fit then as I liked how the loomstates slimmed in the legs. If the Antiques just shrink in the waist and length, then I'll size up 2-3. I may size up 2 and do a cold soak. That or try and rig something up to try and prevent the front rise form shrinking any further.

Griffin I have same issue with hop bones. Normally my G jeans are fine in the waist but kill me across the pockets.

That or try and rig something up to try and prevent the front rise form shrinking any further. I posted this previously, but I'll share for anyone late to the game - here's my sizing experience with the Antiques: I opted only one size up (34 slim vs 33 slim). Overall, here's the measurement right out of the bag: Waist: 16 3/4" across (33.5 pre soak) Thigh: 11" Knee: 8" Opening: 7.5" They fit perfectly pre-soak. Well, aside from length. I'm guessing only 1 size of shrink will come and maybe I do the two part soak: 1. Cold soak for the waist with something at about 33.5" across to keep the waist livable. 2. Hot soak the rest to shorten them up a little. Aside from that, the weft is way more brown than G showed in their pics. Had time to kill, so I did the initial soak... Did the hot/cold soak combo - hot soaked the legs and cold soak for the upper half. Also used the hangers to keep the waist at a reasonable level. Updated measurements: Waist: 16 1/2" Thigh: 10 3/4" Knee: 7.5" Opening: 7" Front rise: 9" Overall, I can completely work with these. The front rise, while as low as I would care for it to be, works well for me.

Thank you, matt. It's hard to go back and dig up all the info all at once. I'll compare your measurements with my jeans tonight.

Threw em in the wash cold. They tightened back up but should loosen back up in just a wear. I think the rise though shrank just a tad more. That requires a little "care" sitting down.
Not much color loss although I use woolite dark for my darks.
Great jeans.

Same here. Did a light tub wash. Some baby fading starting. Slow and steady wins the contest!

I haven't worn mine very much this past month. Maybe 3-4 wears in total. Are we required to post pics every month to stay in the competition? For now, my pics won't be all that eventful. I plan on wearing these out come spring/summer.

I say monthly pics instead of quarterly. Thoughts? 1. Post a pic of the common fade areas pre-wear on Thursday/Friday in the pic thread (I don't know if phones do date stamping...but we should all really be honest for a community fade contest ha...). 2. Common use only. No false fades. Thus, no sandpapering, no crawling around on cement for no other reason than to act like a goon and make fades, no rubbing any weird stuff on them...just no funny business. 3. Washing: throwing them in the washing machine is a-ok, hand washing of course, you can "wash" them in the sea but no rubbing sand on them (so wearing them into the seawater is fine, I'd say....but why?). 4. Post a monthly transition pic to stay in the contest. 5. Mods pick 3 best for the Community to vote on. 6. Winner gets bragging rights and the trophy @stevekas belt. I believe these were the general rules. (But I agree the first few months is going to be a lot of the same)

well some people seem to develop fades very fast so if they wait 3 months then it might look a little wierd.....suprise - im done! Kinda...i dunno. Just take a quick front and back and put what month it is from over the pics?

matt is there a reason why you are using imgur links for your post as opposed to adding the image straight to your post? Just curious.

Only minor fading on my pair - all that I have seen so far is the tops of the front pockets. Two washes in (hang dry), and I am trying to wear them at least 2-3 days a week. Will try to post pictures once I can get my camera to cooperate (hopefully tomorrow night). Clearly I am much gentler on these jeans than others

Isnt this the wrong thread to post the photos? yes. Oops. Someone remind me of the place to post pics? As a newcomer, I'm not sure how to get to the "pic thread." Sorry if this is obvious and I'm just somehow not getting it.
