The rise is definitely low but I said f!@k it. I do kind of hike em up when I sit but otherwise these fit GREAT. They also stretch a LOT in my opinion. I've worn them everyday since Jan 1 and they went from "I want to lose 10 lbs" (which I do) to "I ordered the right size. "

First time wearing these on a weekday morning. My daughter's teacher at daycare, whom I have seen several days a week for the last 4+ months, and who has never once said a word about my clothes, told me this morning that she liked my jeans.
Hopefully this says more about the Antiques and less about the rest of my wardrobe.

Going camping for a couple nights. Once I'm back to work next week these won't see much wear. Guess I can change out of work clothes every evening.
So is a denim tuxedo acceptable for camping? Trying to break in a Type III as well

I bought a pair but I'm not participating Aw man...why not? well for starters, since these are shrink to fit, I plan to do a cold soak in the tub with me in them, but with the current freezing cold winter temps, that ain't happening right now. Then, I don't plan on washing them more than a couple times a year, so they won't won't be fading anytime soon either

Just posted my pre-soak picture in the picture thread. Took another this morning, which was too dark AND out of focus, so I will re-attempt tonight

I gave mine their first soak, last night. After 72 hours of hard wear, they were dirty as hell. The indigo is practically falling off of them. They may not make it a year. I'm fairly sure, I'll be giving them an early retirement.

What in gods name are you doing to yours that has them that beat up after just one week, scooter ? I know you work in a brewery, but great googly moogly, those are beaten up pretty bad pretty quickly. I've worn mine every waking hour for every day since the morning of the 1st, to and from work, wrestling with the kiddo and playing on the floor, cleaning the garage, taking down and putting up the christmas decorations into the garage and attic, going on a couple hikes, going on walks, playing with the kid at the park, and even sleeping in them twice (haha). I did this to try and provide a baseline of what an ENTIRE week's worth of wear would look like with these jeans. And dang son, mine look NOTHING like those. That must be an intense job! Did you bathe in the beer (I probably would if I were in your shoes)? Hahaha. EDIT: Just making sure it's clear that the tone of this post is "impressed." Ha.

The tanks are 12-14 feet tall. So, we're required to wear fall protection (harness). I've spoken before, about the abuse my work wear goes through, and why I refuse to wear my better denims for it. This denim is doing a great job at exemplifying why.

Well done dude - I've had my Jutes on for what, 5 weeks straight with a quick soak and they're not budging! Most work Ive done is a few hikes and cleaning out the chicken coop LOL

I'm fairly sure, I'll be giving them an early retirement. My Heavy Americans - my first pair - were just like that! I had blue on everything. I thought I was pre-heart attack on my first night out in them. I looked down in the restaurant and my hands were dark blue. I freaked the ***k out and thought I was going to die. I'm not joking. Then, I remembered I had my first "real" pair of indigo denims on and went to the bathroom where I washed off the dye. LOL, none since then have done that.

The Antiques are easily the fastest evolving denim I've acquired. I've already decided to back off, and wear them only 3 days a week. It will help their longevity. I would like them to last until October. The lighter weight will definitely be appreciated this summer. At the rate I'm going, they'll be shredded by July. I've got the Japan 21 coming. They'll go into work rotation immediately.

I bow before the hardworkin' scooter 's jeans. I think you will win the "fastest fade" category. My "sit on ass in front of a computer" fades won't measure up.

I made that floortop in my antiques but it only took 3 days and while they looked hardworked I believe it was only sawdust and wrinkles. They are in the machine now.

What brewery? I love craft beer and occasionally home brew.
Been in my antiques for 72 hours straight while camping. They're not giving up the indigo like Scooters but they're filthy. I may soak them. More frequent soaks don't give as much whiskering/combs but a good overall fade.
I do have a car key fade! I'll post on pics

So we're 2 weeks in! How's everyone liking them? How are they now that you've got some wear? For now they're my go to pair. Most likely will be washing them (hand wash in the tub) in a week (once the G21's come and I start wearing those). These have the best combs I've ever had. For a thin pair (what are they 13oz?), they're pretty crisp even after 2 weeks of break in. The fit is pretty good for me.

They're mellowing nicely and have softened up quite a bit. I probably could have gone up one more size, since the rise seems a little short on me, but I think it's working out OK. I've been using them as my daily pair, and the salt is prematurely fading a crease on my calf, I think. I should have tried to keep the creases out after that first soak. Oh well, live and learn.

So what has the consensus been on sizing? I know rise has been an issue. I own some Loomstates with a measured 10" rise post soak (33" waist) and some regular 32's with a 10" rise (32" waist). What would a 34 slim yield? I saw Matt ordered a pair but he's indicated 9 and 9.75" rise... I want a bit of a slimmer leg and cuff than my regulars cuts.
I've lurked since y'all started this forum but this thread has motivated me to join and give this new campaign a shot

I feel like they didn't shrink to much and have stretched back to where they started. I'll post some measurements tomorrow now that I've got wear in them. The rise feels similar to other GSlims that I have. Cuff a bit slimmer then other G's.
