Out of curiosity what does kakishibu smell like? I was debating if I wanted to dye an old jean jacket with the stuff. But if it smells horrible I might not want to mess with it.

I also forgot to mention 3sixteen kibata loomstate denim. I believe those are un-singed or minimally processed. So they should be hairy and have some nep to them. link My kibata showed some hairiness post soak. But, they have only a mild slub, and no nep at all. Good to know! I have not seen a pair of them in the flesh yet. I was wondering how they compared to other loomstate jeans.

In the past I have tried to purchase the Gustin loomstates but,I have never been able to get in on the funding. Those fund to goal in a heart beat! The Naked and famous pair are the only other "Loomstate" jeans I have found other than Gustin.

Tash, We think alike! I have been on the search for hairy and neppy denim for a while. I cannot bring myself to purchase a pair of jeans that are around $300 yet. So I have been looking at less expensive alternatives. I found Naked and Famous loom-state denim. you can see them here linkAnd I have a pair of Ciano Farmer Hemp denim. these are very neppy and kind of hairy. Here are the pair I own look at these link and here linkCheck out the Ciano Farmer thread of the hemp cotton denim. link
Now, If price was no object for me. I would buy a pair of Oni Secret denim. link Or a pair of Pure Blue Japan denim. link . The Ciano Farmer "secret" denim looks promising. I am keeping a close eye on that thread on these forums. And I am going to keep an eye on this thread to see if anyone else has found any denim has neppy&hairy as the ones mentioned.

I do like the very interesting wefts that sauce zhan have in their jeans. I would like to see how some of these pairs look with a little wear in. Are there any photos of older pairs of sauce-zhans? The ocean blue pair are the ones I would most likely purchase. If I ever decide to take the plunge and get a pair.

Wow, I have never seen a purple weft. I was considering a blue weft for my next pair. But, these look very intriguing! I found a photo of a well worn pair. And I really like how they look. I think with about 2 years of hard wear in when the denim starts to rip a little and the purple weft threads showing would be very cool!

Welcome aboard Jeanmaker Manny, I also don't use FaceBook. After the LD@co debacle, I am a little gun shy of ordering from a new clothing manufacture. But, I wish you the best of luck in your venture and will be keeping a close eye on your jeans production!

Ciano and Mike, Only two words come to mind "Bad Ass" I love the thread treatment in harmony with the turquoise selvedge. And the lining on the back pocket. Not to mention the naked chain stitched girls!

I guess I was venting a bit when I posted earlier today, I was not trying to cause any more problems for the Mods on this forum. I was on the telephone for over and hour with a representative from my credit car company trying in vain to get a charge-back from my November 2014 order for the jeans I purchased from LD&co. I will just have to accept that Roman took my money and I received nothing from LD@co but anguish and a learning experience about how risky it was to try and support a new denim company.

Knowing that LD@co. are out of business, and we will never see our clothing we all have been waiting a long time for. Can the information from all these unfulfilled orders we have been compiling be used in a lawsuit against LD@co? or against James Roman Acevedo? My thought was like a type of class action lawsuit that happens to corporations. I know that Lawless Denim was classified as an LLC. anyone else have any thoughts on this?

This post reminds me of a time on the beach when I was riding my bike along the shore and lost control and crashed while wearing some jeans. I remember that it took a while to get all the sand out of them. and the only fade effect from the sand that was caused by the crash was a much lighter spot on my left side hip. I think the indigo became more abraded on that spot.

I chose the Japan Blue Monster, Because I have seen some very nice fades from the Monster denim that Jay from Blue Owl had posted on his blog during one of Blue Owls fade contests.

I love the Huckberry web shop. lots and lots of unique items. As a side note, wasn't Huckberry going to have Lawlwss denim make up a run of kevlar/denim jeans for thier website? Did that ever happen? Knowig the past history of LD ,co I doubt it!

I found the original website/blog where the photograph of the denim looms was taken! That Reservoir 1885 used on their website. It was taken when the guys from the 3sixteen denim company. Traveled to Okayama to visit Kuroki mills in June of 2014, where some of their denim is produced. Take a look at this link and this one also linkBesides the association with Roman or not. I would find it hard to trust jvmison based on this faux pas committed.

As Winterland was discussing. I second the use of Obernauf's. I have use this product for several years now and have not found anything better! I use it on all my leather goods. Where I live most Ranch&Home stores or Coastal Farm&Ranch stores carry this product. You can find it in the footwear section in both stores.

Yes, I understand. I was just trying to make a joke about this new thing. It most likely is a start up by some of his Motorcycle enthusiast buddies. And Roman is in the background giving them advise on how to do things?! there I go again, making a another joke. I can't help it.
