Yeah, the hype about these going on right now is little weird? N&F posted on their imgur account a pair with about six months wear. I like how the fade looks If I go to Blue Owl workshop in the near future I will look at them, maybe try a pair on among the several other pairs I want to see in the flesh.

Thank-you for the info about the Ciano Secret Denim it sounds very different from these N&F MIJ#3's, and closer to Oni denim than any others.
I agree about the price point, why would I choose this pair of denim, if I could get a pair of Pure Blue Japan or Oni denim for the same amount or less.

Beings that I am a sucker for neppy selvedge denim these new jeans from Naked and Famous are on my radar. The MIJ3 jeans are a limited run of denim. not all Naked and Famous retailers will get them. Made from 16oz recycled cotton and rope dyed with a green cast dye. Also the denim is woven slow and not mechanically shrunk . They sound like they will fade to a nice blue tone with a good ammount of interesting texture. When I fist saw these they reminded me of Ciano Farmers "Secret Denim" If any one owns a pair chime in with your two cents, The selvedge line looks the same to me. link to selvedge line photo The next time I go to the Blue Owl Work Shop in Seattle I will certainly try on a pair! link for more info about them link to N&FA photo of them showing five months of wear. link

My Naked&Famous loom states shrink about 1/2 in in the waist and almost an inch in length every time I soak them and drip dry them. They are a little tight to put back on, But seem to always stretch back out to fit me after I wear them for a few hours. I have not put them in the dryer. I am afraid they will shrink up too much for me to put them back on. How to you guys launder your loom-state denim?

I found some awesome fade photos of the xx-012. I thought I had decided on a pair of xx-014 purple weft or possibly a pair of xx-018 cobalt weft. But after seeing the fades on these I am not so sure now! I think am developing a love/hate relationship with this forum I get my sights set on a pair of jeans and I'm about ready to pull the trigger. Then I see another pair I think I want more! ha ha ha!

I also watched the Hateful Eight last week. Samuel L. Jackson and Kurt Russell where doing some impeccable acting in this film as always! But I feel that actress Jennifer Jason Leigh stole the show! I have not really seen her on film since the movies Fast Times at Ridgemont High and eXistenZ. I love most Tarantino films for the over the top violence and dark humor! And I am glad the he did not put himself in a cameo role. I dislike Quentin Tarantino as an actor. I also got the "Thing" references as it has always been one of of my favorite movies. I wonder if Kurt Russel had A slight case of Déjà vu during some of the scenes in this movie?

whiskeyriver looks like you did a great job dying all that clothing! please post more photos as these items progress.
When the weather warms up in the spring I think I will try my hand at dying some things with indigo! I will try dying. A hoodie, A baseball hat, And maybe some small leather items, will all go onto the dye.

I am researching the Sugar Cane Okinawa jeans. Does anyone have a pair or familiar this type of denim? Your opinions about Sugar-cane jeans in compassion to other popular Japanese brands would be helpful to me also.

Yes,I too thought that I just might receive my two pairs of jeans I ordered from them a year ago, When Laura popped in and started posting. But I came to my senses again and realized I have a better chance of winning the Power-Ball lottery than ever getting my order from Lawless, very sad!

Kiro Hirata the lead designer of clothing the line Kapital. is a master at the Japanese aesthetics of Wabi-Sabi and Boro. kapital.jp/I like many of the clothes Kapital produces. I was first drawn to them after seeing the "Cisco Century" jean. It was done in two variants Kakishibu and Sumi coated. The jean also had sashiko thread woven in to it. Here is a film about Kapital during one of their photo shoots in Paris a couple years ago for one of their clothing catalogs . www.kapitalworldmovie.com/#movie click the link if the video won't play. I am also looking for one of these Kapital jeans hooks if anyone knows where to purchase one.

You have to ad these two films to your list Shark Skin Man and Peach Hip Girl- English title. also Japanese title (Samehada otoko to momojiri onna) by Director: Katsuhito Ishii
And Gozu from Director : Takashi Miike I love both films for their general weird Japanese sense of humor.

The #270tThe coated BlackXgrey 12.oz, fully funded in less than eight hours? Why, is does not look remarkable at all. And what is the mystery coating? What am I missing here?
My guess is it will be coated with the tears of all the remorseful purchaser's.
