Those shashiko jeans look just like the material my Judo gi was made out of. It is incredibly tough material! A pair of jeans or trousers made with this weave would be interesting.

Wow, excited about this one. I like what I see from both brands but, have yet to pull the trigger on either brand, Because I cannot decided on any one pair of them. I hope this is not some one off "contest" pair of jeans with oni doing one leg and samurai doing the other leg. David, please keep posting information on this contest from Denimio as information becomes available.

Bugula, I was just about to post that same photo on here! What amazing fades on this pair. I am still saving up cash for a pair of PBJ's. But I still cannot decide between the purple or cobalt weft.

I am excited to see the Japanese 17oz black selvedge sample. I've recently been looking to add some black selvedge to my wardrobe.
Also have we discussed the cut or fit of the jeans? I am just wondering if we get to choose between Ciano's 901 slim fit or 905 regular fit?

Here are a couple finished versions of the patch. The 1 of 25 will be stamped by hand and not part of the main stamp. Let us know any preference between the 2. Would mainly like opinions from those who are considering buying a pair. I like the second design slightly better. the SS part of the patch still reminds me of Chevrolet. Has anyone suggested this type of design for the ss part?

In my never ending search for unique denim jeans I have found two brands from Japan I have never heard of Trophy and Jelado. I really like the Black dirt denim standard jeans from Trophy. It seems to be a black loom-state denim. slow woven hairy and slubby. I have never seen a black warp brown weft before. nokipple.com/products/trophy-blackie-denim-regular-1905The Jeldo denim jeans are 14.oz low tension weave indigo warp white weft. 1950's repro cut. nokipple.com/products/jelado-jeansDoes anybody know If No Kippple is the exclusive distributor of these two Japanese brands?

Rising Sun jeans. Blue Delta jeans. Hartford denim company. Detroit denim company. Railcar fine goods.
Also two denim companies that post on this Selvedge& Style forum. Indigogene and Clutch Monkey.

I am actually surprised that he is still around. Most of the dudes that have partied as hard as Charlie Sheen has are long dead.

Last weekend I was in Seattle and tried on the E5's and they instantly reminded me of these other jeans that Brandon Svarc had made, The Paul/Rose jeans. The fabric was the same to me, as far as slubb,warp,weft.etc. The only difference was that Paul/Rose denims where 17.oz and the E5's are 20 oz. I also tried on the E4's. But, I was torn between the two pairs of jeans and ended up walking away without purchasing anything.

I just got a chance to see the Rousey vs Holm match. My take is that Rhonda was a little over confident in her own abilities and took Holm's superior abilities for granted. Also I think Rousey let her anger get the best of her and became sloppy in the match, Then got her ass handed to her because of it. Well, I guess she has a action movie career ahead of her if this UFC thing doesn't work out for her.

I want to know how indiecred17 resisted the urge to choke the living day-lights out of Roman for all the stuff he has put his "customers" through. I am pretty sure it would be a bad idea for any us on this forum that have been waiting for products or cash back to ever meet him in person. In reality I don't know how I would react if I went to his shop and he answered the door like in the news cast. I most likely would yell, "Where F**ck Are My Jeans! "You **d ***ned ***ing ****ard!" Lol!
That being said , I still want my jeans I ordered just about one year ago.
I am very curios on how they will turn out considering Jeanmaker/Manny is not making them.

Does Studio D’Artisan use Kurabo Mills? I wonder because the denim that Cinao found and the denim Gustin recently posted. looks very much like what Studio D' Artisan calls Christmas denim because of it's very snowy looking neps? It was used by Studio D’Artisan a couple years ago for some special edition jeans. It is the only denim I have seen that is close to the very neppy denim Oni uses. Your thoughts on this?

And during a search on rakuten.com I found Cat's Paw denim jeans. I don't know much about them though. And considering that they are part of Toyo Enterprises the company that makes Sugar Cane and Warehouse jeans. They should be good, I would think?

I would be interested in a pair jeans if the denim was something special or exclusive. Denim that is 18oz or above that has a unique warp or weft. I like the idea of the leather patch representing this forum. If the denim jeans idea does not pan out. How about a tee shirt that is made with either Pima or Zimbabwe cotton. Made with some sort of logo or wording on the Tee shirt that represents this forum. And the tee should be indigo dyed so it will fade nicely over time.

Dirty, Thank-you for those links! I never knew there where so many sashinko patterns. It has the gears in my head turning on what patterns to pick and where to start. I have about three or four pairs of old worn jeans to play with.

I just found a post on instagram on a pair of Sage 25.oz Winter-Beast jeans. link The construction and materials look really good. I wonder how they the compare to 25.oz denim from Samurai or Ironheart? Do you think actual denim material is the same? I cannot find these Winter beasts on the sage website? It could have been a limited run I suppose?

Dirty,. I found this blog post about ways to mend fabric using Japanese techniques here is a link I think it is relevant. I am going to try to mend some old ratty pairs of denim and see what happens. I will try to post some photos here when I am finished messing around with them.
