Welcome to six posts ago jeffr0 . They do look really cool, but I think I'd rather have a pair and a half of regular TSG's. Sorry, bentin for being late to the game Sarcasm is hard to grasp on a webpage sometimes? But you do have a point, The maker of this brand of jeans Mr. Tohru Hamamoto own website. Klax-On/TheStrikeGold the same basic jeans are about $207.00 USD.

I agree with you guy's about this new Self Edge/Strike Gold colab . The fabric looks like something very unique . I Also like that they did the dark colored thread on the back pockets and used poly-core thread to sew these up with. But other than that is only the fabric and fancy leather patch. So I'm trying to figure out the upscale pricing on these ? The Self Edge store closest to me is a about a Four hour drive to Portland. I really want to see them in person to see if they are really worth $345 in comparison to the other denim they sell.

I like these new/old N&F Ninja Shinobi jeans. The dead stock vintage denim is peaking my interest with the fabrics&details and also the artwork. If I make it over to Blue Owl workshop in the next couple months I will have to see what they look like in person.

I thought the 277 had more taper? That looks like my 575's lower leg. Yes still a bit too large. This photo was just after I received them. What is surprising to me is that the fit feels almost like a pair of Levi's I had years ago. I think after the first soak and dry they will fit me a little tighter.

I am glad I read this post because The last time I was in the Blue Owl shop. One of the guys was talking about a new line of denim they where going to be carrying. I could not remember the name of the brand. I do remember them saying that it is a new brand of denim from the guys that owned one of the first Japanese denim brands? I thought maybe the people that started Canton or Evisu? I Think I remember the guy's saying that one of Owners of this brand has been in retirement from the denim world but came back to start up this new brand. Now the funny part for me is having been in Japan The Tanuki Legend is this link
A raccoon like creature with an enormous balls and magical scrotom! So I was fully expecting this brand to have about eight buttons on the crotch or something?! to accommodate the girth of the wearers!

Buttons leather patch copper rivet denim jeansOn my bucket list of denim brands I have been wanting was Oni ! I heard that Denimo was doing a contest with samurai and oni. And the timing was right for me So I decided on a pair of the Oni 277-XX. The contest pair has a special leather patch and buttons. Upon opening the package I was surprised at how rough it was, kind of like sandpaper. I have a pair of Shark skin boots and the texture felt the same way to me. I have worn these for a week or so and the sandpaper feel is not as pronounced accept just behind the knee. this part still feel very rough against my skin. I love the slubbiness of the denim the little neps sticking out here and there. And the details like the exposed copper rivets I am linking photos of the patch, rivets, buttons and jeans. I am very glad I purchased these and was able to get in on the Denimo contest!

When this anniversary thing started I signed up for a pair of the black jeans. I was just wondering if a replacement for the black defective anniversary denim was found yet? And how many of you guys decided to get the black denim like me instead of indigo?

I just received my Oni contest denim in the mail From Denimo yesterday. I decided to go with the Tempi one wash. As I was not sure of the sizing of the oni 277 shrink to fit. I made the correct choice! They fit me perfectly and still a little starch left in them so they are a bit crinkly. I was surprised how rough and slubby this denim is! And I love all the little neps in the jeans. Links to photos - link link link link link

Those jeans certainly look "Old Timey" They remind me of a pair of Key brand jeans my Grand-Pa used to wear working in his apple orchard. This was a long time ago around 1968 I was just a kid. But this fabric made me think of his old orchard jeans. Not really my style, But Props to Ciano and Mike for finding unique denim and for letting me reminisce about my child-hood and my Gramps!

Has anybody been to Blue Owl's website lately? It looks all wonky to me and the ordering method is very different from their previous webpage. I at first thought that it was some weird April fools joke like the Naked and Famous Blue Owl jeans colab posted on the net yesterday. But today the web page is still very strange looking and not what I am used to seeing from them in the past? Anybody else think this? www.blueowl.us/

Yes, I just received an email yesterday from SoSo denim advertising that they now have super heavy weight denim in stock. It made me laugh. Then news of the SoSo 32.oz denim blew up a bit on Reddit. And Bahzad Trinos was posting that nobody can make decent pair of super heavy jeans as well as they can. I am sure SoSo are jumping the shark a bit, because Naked&Famous have been talking about reintroducing their 32.oz denim again in the next couple months.

I know I signed up for a pair of the Ciano Farmer made selvedge/style anniversary jeans in black. But I am having trouble pulling the trigger on what denim to purchase? I would like more information about the denim fabrics. Black 16.oz white line selvedge and the 23.oz pink line selvedge. Who milled the two denim fabrics and is the denim slubby or neppy in any way? Sanforized or not? How many other people on this forum decided to go with the black denim?
