I'm having a hard time believing there is any ready to ship stock. For example, last night I went to order (shame on me) a pair of the 16.5oz Cone, size 34. Strange thing, there are 4 units left - no matter what cut or inseam I pick! Same thing for all other sizes - a 32 waste had 17 units left regardless of the cut Or inseam. I smell a rat. Or bad website coding. given LD history, I have every reason to believe this is another BS pie in the sky story. I'm staying far away.

My order has left Phoenix which gives me a little more confidence in their RTW abilities. May buy some more today but might wait to see how they are first.

Lawless already sat on $47 on me for 14 weeks before a refund. I have serious doubts about the ethics of the company. |

Its possible that these may already made with longer unfinished inseam lengths. Then its a simple custom hem for each order. |

I don't recall many people having to return for fit issues My promo pair was clam digger short (even though I asked for a 32" inseam) and comically tight. They weren't sewn to the "straight" fit pattern that I requested. Granted LD did remake them. |

I have a pair in the 10.5 oz. Kaihara, and highly recommend this fabric for lighter weight. It is really saturated...dark inky blue....but it doesn't seem to crock. The hand feel is really smooth...dare I say, about as smooth as my grey silks. I really like them and they're really comfortable. I'm sure the Candiani's are nice too, I've become quite a fan of Candiani fabrics. is it indigoxindigo or indigoxwhite? They are Indigoxwhite but the weave is tight, so there's not much weft popping through |

is it indigoxindigo or indigoxwhite? They are Indigoxwhite but the weave is tight, so there's not much weft popping through You mentioned that it's a fairly dense weave? Do you think they sewed up a little tighter as a result? Have you seen a lot of flex/stretch with break-in? I did see this denim in the shop when I was there last, I initially thought it was a Candiani denim by feel (as you described) and was pleasantly surprised to see it was Japanese. What fit did you get? Slim-straight or just straight? How is the front rise? I'm a fan of the G front rise specs on my slim straights, but the LD were about .5-.75" higher, which isn't bad but does feel a little high when I wear them. |

I have to admit that I got all of the stuff I ordered and most of it was fine. But yeah, I think I'm done with LD because I liked the idea of deadstock fabric custom made - that was worth it for me. Now it's just another pair of regular raw denim albeit at a cheap price. I've also bought a few pairs of the high end Japanese brands - oni and fullcount - thanks to all of you:) and absolutely think they're worth the price. I wish LD well.

Sent an update request on my two pending orders, also asked them why they were saying orders in the 2800s have shipped while only one of my orders in the 1000s has even been reported "gone to the cutting table". even receiving their canned "worth the wait" message will be a surprise. |

Thats where I'm at with these guys. I DO have all the stuff I ordered from them, so am glad for that, but it took 6 mos, and during that time, never got an honest answer from them ever. It ALWAYS ended up being something other than what I was told along the way. Sending out a few pair of jeans now, is not turning the corner with their business, and my store credit will die on the vine. |

Pricks - I'll never buy from any more startups again. stimulating greed always works ..... yeah, the price is really low and even me (albeight still waiting for my Nov 5 order) have been tempted - fortunately the meanwhile USD 35.- (in Nov. it was USD 25 - per pair!!) shipping costs to Europe make the deal way less attractive - so kept my calm .... |
