My tracking number moved from label printed to having shipped today. Ordered the evening of 5/14, jeans actually shipped 6/3. That's not 24-48 hrs, but if the jeans are killer, I'm 100% fine with the delay. I'll post my thoughts on the jeans and overall experience when they arrive

In your left hand you have responsibilities (operations, fulfillment and business fundamentals). In your right hand, you have a shiny new toy (any social media, appeal to niche groups, attempts to focus on the marketing/social impression that you're global when you're not there yet). Guess which hand he's focused on? i know where the focus is...though i'd argue that in this case neither is really understood. if it were, we'd see more photos of work in progress, stacks of denim, completed products, etc and less posed cafe racer shots.

I wouldn't even mess with messaging. Call them and get someone on the phone. Emily is actually helpful. I agree calling is usually the best but the last time I messaged I received a response the next day. We will see. I hadn't gotten a response on the message I sent via their messaging system when I looked this morning. So I was just calling them the phone ringing and noticed that they did respond to the message and hung up. Written message said was being sent out today. While I was reading I had a phone call come back and it was Lawless calling. I told them the situation that I hung up because I saw they had responded and they noticed the missed call and called me. I was fairly amazed. Either way they said it's going out today so I will see what the tracking says later.

Got my RTW order. I ordered straights and they sent me slim straights that sewed up small.
Rise is .5" lower, thigh is almost .75" smaller, and knee and cuff are smaller.
These were going to be tight to begin with but now they're unwearable.
Edit: Kahla is going to refund me and send me a shipping label unless anyone wants to buy these?

What size are they, what do they measure by Gustin methods, and what are they?

Waist: 31-31.25" Thigh: 22.5" knee: 15.5" Opening Those might even be a slim taper. The Austin is just about right for a 32 though. Lawless should really have removed the size down recommendation when they removed odd sizes (based on their fits they should actually recommend the opposite, even with odd sizes). These are way smaller than what I can wear otherwise I'd probably be interested in at least the ixi.

The waist would stretch out okay if the thighs weren't tiny, but I'd be better off in a 34 or 33 for sure.

Got my box-o-jeans today. 5 pairs. I'm happy to report that I'm happy! All 5 pairs are great and are exactly what I ordered, in the correct fabrics, size, and cut (regular straight). Haven't measured them because each pair fit great. Wait was a little long, ordered 5/14 received 6/4, but that's fine as I'm happy with what I received for the price. Only snag was they oversold the candiani raven and called me to offer me a refund, store credit, or a swap for another fabric. No big deal because I didn't care that much about that fabric anyway. I chose a swap for the 12 oz Kaihani light indigos, and I am happy with them so it's all good.
My favorite pair are the 14oz greens. The color is reminiscent of organic romaine lettuce. Their regular straight fit works great for me as well, so I'm pleased about that. A good experience. Glad I jumped on it. Will probably order future RTW pairs if the price is right and they offer some good denims.
One caveat...one of the Candiani pairs, the red checked selvedge, is advertised to be 13.5oz. It is very light, much much lighter than 13.5. Not sure why it was listed this way, but they should be careful when listing their fabric specs. This wasn't a big deal to me this time because I was OK with another pair of light summer weight jeans. Otherwise I may not have been so OK with it.

Thigh is more like 22.25, in between the two. Front rise is 10. 32 straight is a 16" knee, 23" thigh, 15" cuff, and 10.5" rise These are definitely not on spec.

They could fit me if you end up selling them and I need a pair.

Lawless is having better luck today.

Honestly, for the past month or so I've worn my Lawless pair more than any other single pair of jeans that I own. Never thought that would happen, but the fit is so good on me and they seem to go with just about anything I pull out to wear with them. They actually become my go-to pair. Just really wish my second pair would turn up...

julian - that's what's so screwed up about this. When LD makes a pair to spec (and you receive them), they're usually excellent. I wear my LD nipon mehu? beige wefts the most out of every pair I own.

This makes the wait for my second pair even worse... they're the Nihon Menpu also! The Slim Straight fit works perfectly for me, they look and feel almost custom level. Just hope the second pair, if they ever arrive, are sewn up the same (the order was the same in terms of fit and sizing). And all of this reminds me, that second order turned exactly 8 months old as of today.

julian - 8 months - wow. I hounded the shit out of Roman by email and that seemed to help. No one should have to do that. If they sew up correctly, you'll be happy with them. One caution - I wouldn't call them beige weft. The weft is off-white which gives them an overall beigy/vintage tint at best. Nothing wrong with that, but they're not beige like the 3sixteens or strike gold 2109's.
