Roman, can you help with sizing? I have 2 32 waist RTW orders pending. My true waist is a 33.25. My Gustin size is a 32 or 33 slim. Laid flat, my jeans measure 16.5-16.75. I followed your instructions on measuring, which led me to a 32, but I just feel these would be too small. Agree? Even though I said I wouldn't do this anymore, and I'm not a lawless representative... If your true waist is 33.25 I would be surprised/shocked if these fit you. From how you're measuring, a 34 would likely be spot-on for you, depending on fit in the thighs, with the waist needing about .25-.5 in stretch. Of course, with my rtw getting here today, I'll see if anything has changed since my last order.

I will have 85-90% of back orders out in the next 45 days. At least that is my goal. I will push as hard as I can to get this down. This sounds encouraging. What would be useful is to have some kind of idea what order numbers you're currently sewing.

Agree? their measurement instructions are to measure your waist, clearly stating not to rely on the size or measurement from a different brand. based on your waist of 33.25" i'm guessing your 32 will be pretty snug out of the bag.

roman Any idea which pair of jeans you guys have in RTW and able to ship out now? Or all the jeans are now not in production? Can you also let us know the process when a person purchase a pair of RTW? What's the timeline? How many days from shelves to sending out the parcel? Give us a realistic timeline? Don't tell us 24-48 hours of processing time but after 1 week still no shipping number. You got to start telling us the truth, honestly a lot of us has ZERO trust in LD&CO in promises and stuff.

I'm wondering about the availability of denim's that we ordered in the fall. Like, if Lawless is about to crank up production on the old custom orders for real, should we all be checking to make sure that the denim's we ordered are available, and if not, replace them with something else?

roman it will be interesting to see how Lawless evolves over the course of the next year. as you're probably aware i went from one of your early strong supporters to one of the fairly vocal disgruntled customers. it's been a challenge because the pairs of jeans i have gotten are great, but so many of the products i've ordered either haven't arrived after 6 months...or arrived with some issue(s). i think we're finally making some positive traction in getting some of those issues resolved (once i can reach someone to provide my c/c info), and i'll be 'patiently' awaiting my remaining items. i'll be firmly planted in the 'wait and see' camp to see how things shake out with the new LA operation. the temptation will be strong if you get some interesting fabrics and maintain the price point...but like several others will have to see how the business progresses before actually ordering again. out of curiosity...you said that the tucson location will be shut down after LA is up and running...wasn't that location just recently established? won't there be a large loss of capital with such a short turn around on that facility? will any of the existing staff (phoenix & tucson) be shifted elsewhere within the organization?

I found very little said last night as encouraging or as building my confidence in LD. 1) Roman acts as if the Huckberry deal was forced on him 2) he will fire anyone for the smallest mistake 3) close a factory months after opening it 4) no explanation of the supima debacle For me it will take a lot more for me.

Roman Flies LD "Balls To The Wall" (coined by pilots whose throttle levers had round, ball-like tops, and for whom putting the "balls to the wall" (the firewall of the aircraft) meant making the aircraft fly as quickly as possible). If it works much could be accomplished over the next year Or a firery crash. He seems committed, I like his tenacity. But no more money from me until he levels this plane and the flight is on time.

Right, I followed their instructions. They state to size down if you are in between sizes. Telling us how true waist correlates to lay flat wouldn't be hard though and would help with sizing. Anyway, my order shipped this morning so it is too late to cancel or change sizes.

Well put. Sadly, because of past practices, it will take much more for me to have confidence in LD, and that they can actually walk the walk. We all know how easy it is to talk it up.

I'm still scepticale. I find it odd that he's setting up a factory to produce, what was it 10,000 pairs of jeans.?.? I don't think the customers will be there. So that makes me think that Roman is planning something else. Possibly being a sew shop for other suppliers, corporate orders, etc. Interesting to watch. But I'm still out $360 and have nothing. Even my KS chambray was made wrong (XXL, way to large). Hard not to be alittle pissed.

I'm out $106 and also having nothing after waiting 6 months. I contacted my bank today to ask about a chargeback on my card, unfortunately, they can't do anything after 90 days, so i'm screwed either way. I can't say that impressed either by his talk of firing employees for making mistakes, and then turns around and says LD will make mistakes. I find it hard to support a company whose owner runs it like a dictatorship.

Will the LA location be the same as Phoenix in that people can come in for fittings? For now I would have to say no. This is strictly production. Give me some time and I will open the doors to the public. I'm just not sure people will want to come this part of LA to visit. It's a little rough! roman, what part of LA is it? I was born and raised in Los Angeles and there's no neighborhood I am afraid to go into.

45 days? If Roman said 45 days, you have to give it at least 60 days, if not 90 days. He's very optimistic with his projections, to a fault. I'm really also interested in who did the number crunching for them to arrive at the figure they stated, and since the RTWs came in less than that value, does that mean he lost a ton of money? I will have 85-90% of back orders out in the next 45 days. At least that is my goal. I will push as hard as I can to get this down. I have owned many business and I must say this is the hardest one to get up and running. I can see why some many brands out source there work. The manufacturing is a killer but I'm committed to it. That will be nice if it happens, I was promised my order would ship in 30 days back in March and I'm still waiting with no explanation as to why that didn't happen.

He has more than likely burned trough all of the qualified sewers in AZ, so pack up and go to LA for new blood. Adios!

Ready to Wear came in today, 17 days from order to arrival (not including weekends and holidays it ends up being 12, everything looks to be correct. both are size 36, I plan on washing them on warm to bring everything in, as I ordered straight fit with the intent of wearing them and washing them whenever they get dirty. The waist on the green hit 17.5 measured in the Gustin way, the Cone 16s at 18 (and the patch is not marked with a size). Gave everything a once over, and everything looks right. The length is what I was expecting, and they look right for straights, but I haven't gone in with a measuring tape on anything but the waist. They came with two different patches, one of the naked samurai ladies on one, and another has the YAY JAPAN KABUKI EXCELLENT HAPPY FUN TIME!!! patch. I'll take some pictures a little later. The only problem I've found is that the button-holer appears to need some adjustment, I'm going to have to open the holes up a bit so that I can button the fly on both (the green more than the cone), they're not cut as wide as the button hole stitching and unfortunately not cut quite as wide as the buttons. All in all, had they shipped when they told me they had, I'd be happy. Given that I had to contact customer service several times to get them in the mail (both before the shipping label and after), I find that I have mixed feelings. Anyway, the construction looks solid (will be looking more thoroughly tonight), I got what I ordered, and I really wasn't hoping for much more at this point. roman - Thank you for the sale, it definitely took the sting out of the frustration I experienced after the fact. I have a couple custom orders pending with you, and I look forward to getting ahold of those once L.A. spins up. Despite my frustrations, I want to mention that Emily was very helpful, and made sure that my shipment went out the second time it was supposed to, and I appreciate that. She also gave me a call back from her personal phone when you were having trouble with your new system last week, all of which was appreciated. I think there are some issues on the shipping side that could definitely use addressing, if you're assessing where to improve processes. Also, if you could unblock "exophobe" from instagram, it'd be appreciated.

Once LA is up and running I will be closing down the Tucson and Phx Factories. Doesn't make sense to keep these. They put out a great product but way to slow. I can not find enough skilled people to sew in this desert. Do the employees at these location know about this?
