Why does anyone care what another person spends their money on, or complains about or expects from a business? I assume given your time here and the length and details of the Titanic voyage that is LD, you're well aware of the problems. So, given that, I can only assume you're advocating for the devil with that post...

... a) They messed up - item needed to be sent back to fix or refund applied for b) They messed up - buyer opts to keep the item(s) instead of returning for a completely unknown outcome/turnaround c) The items turned out to be good quality and people were impressed, especially at the discounted pricing ... julian good analysis, but i've added an outcome category

I finally said screw it and went with Ready to Wear Railcar. My search for "budget" denim eventually lead me to...well, pricey denim.
I have always had positive experience with Gustin, but I've put on 10-15 lbs and barely fit so I've purchased one pair of jeans I knew would fit and I'd have asap.

Was informed via message that it takes 24-48 hours to process and then ships about a week after that. So the site is a bit misleading, to say the very least

I am the new comer and wants to buy Lawless RTW jeans because of the low price. I have seen a lot of negative and positive comment on this forum. It seems that it is a bit risky to go with LD product. Anyway, can someone help me for following questions:
1.) LD always says use the true size on waist measurement. Normally I lay my jeans flat and measure the waist, the length is around 17.75", is this equal to LD RTW waist 36"? or 38" Does anyone do the same measurement on their 36" or 38"?
2.) How long is their international shipping to Asia? I am in Taiwan, I hope it will not take more than 4 weeks, can someone from Asia have experience with LD?
Thanks

They are not going to make the 24-48 hour estimate. But I ordered Monday got shipping number today. This is my second RTW order. Tried slim taper which will probably be too slim but didn't want to confuse they with a switch. Hoping for the best but would be good gifts at the least.

How long is their international shipping to Asia? I am in Taiwan, I hope it will not take more than 4 weeks, can someone from Asia have experience with LD? Thanks I'm trying to offer advice here while not necessarily recommending you purchase from them. If they get the ship time down on RTW it'll become easier to recommend them in that regard, but on principle they've made their company very difficult to recommend, since they're still shipping orders from mid-November, and not able to give timelines on anything ordered in the last six months. Definitely buyer beware, and being in a position where you'd have to ship it back at international rates, it's really hard to recommend you go after it, even on the RTW side. If your jeans are measuring 17.75" across, the 36 may be a bit tight (but will stretch) but the 38 a lot looser. My one pair of Lawless Denim is a tagged 35, measured across when I first got them I think it was right around 17. The make or break on LD fit seems to be thighs and calves, though, so be sure you measure all the way down the leg if you're ordering the slim or taper. Their international shipping seems to run about $40. The line right now seems to be "processed in 24-48 hours", then after that there is a week or so to shipping. While this is somewhat astounding to me, they are a pretty small operation that has shown nothing but a less than stellar grasp of logistics. If something is happening in four weeks that you want new jeans for, I would look somewhere else. They simply haven't demonstrated an ability to meet deadlines, and you've got too many additional variables. Once the stuff is in the mail, I think it all goes USPS, so you'd be looking to them for a timetable, and then customs is a whole additional stage your order has to get through. There is just not a track-record there for getting stuff out of these guys. I think they're working on that, but the question is whether you're willing to risk your money to see if they're gonna work it out. If you do get stuff, and the fit works for you, response is largely positive.

As a reminder, and before everyone lights up the torches and don pitchforks (I knew we had all this "work-wear" for a reason), lets also keep in mind that the post office is closed until Tuesday.

Thanks. Their 36" would be too tight to me and 38" becomes very loose. I even think that try to have their 38" , shrink it in the hot water bath and hopefully it becomes my expected size: 37". Nevertheless, it seems that their overall operation is still not so stable even they have very low price jeans. I think I have to try other supplier with more stable operation/delivery, even I might need to pay more.

I dont understand this sizing advice up here. 17,75 x 2 = 35.5 wich is exactly what the LD 36 should sew up to and a 38 sounds crazy to me?
SO I would ask: * What jeans are you measuring * Are they straight out of the machine or worn for long * How is the fit on those....tight...loose?

In fact, my measured jeans (17.75") is local brand. I guess it is 12 oz. washed jeans with slim-straight cut and I worn it for many years. In one time, a friend of mine gave me a customized 14.5 oz. Lawless jeans for quick try. It was a true waist size 36", it was 17" when I lay the jeans flat and measured. When I squat down or move, it is not comfortable and the crotch or front rise is extremely tight. That's why I have big hesitation on LD RTW size.

Order #3978 for RTW Cone IxI ordered on 5/15 and no update at all since. Also waiting on a remake of old site shirt order #11641 with no update since 4/10 and shirt was returned on 3/10. Also waiting on compensation for work done on the first iteration of the new website back in late October with no word since 4/10.

We're also still awaiting the Instagram pic of the 500+ RTW jeans that people have been asking for. And people actually working in the Tuscon shop.
I realize that they only have/had one person handling shipping (Laura), so if that's still the case, even with a new location, then you need to also factor in transport of the jeans from Tuscon to Phoenix (not a long trip) just to get added to the big bin of jeans to be mailed.

#3847 from 5/14 of Cone IxI. Order is "pending."
When I asked I was told it would ship on Friday (nope) and then was messaged saying I should expect a tracking number early this week.

New to the board. Been following the fiasco for a while but wanted to chime in. I went into the Phoenix shop on Saturday. I was surprised to see what I estimated as 100+ pairs of what appeared to be the indigo x indigo ready to wear jeans. It baffled me as to why they wouldn't post this image. There were also 2 full postal bins (the big ones on wheels) full of packed orders ready to ship. I was happy to see that progress was actually being made and it made the wait time I was given for my order seem more "worth the wait". It would be so easy for them to throw pics like this up on their Instagram and I think it would go a long way to improve good will amongst their customers. I would say during the next week we will see the majority of the I x I pairs trickle into the forum.

indiecred17 .. we'd find a reason to complain about the pics of denim or packed orders, anyway. Someone would mention photoshop or say we have no idea what's in the envelopes.. you can imagine how it would go.
