My loomies fit pretty well pre-soak. I'm worried about shrinking them, but I'm giving them a soak. If they end up too small, there will be a primal scream coming from NJ that will rock the entire east coast.

Hey, @stevekas.. did you rinse your naturals to get rid of the kakishibu smell, or did the smell eventually just fade away? Not sure I want to subject my loomies to any more rinse/dry cycles, but also don't think people would really appreciate the smell.

Hey wisdom, I actually wore mine for a week and after getting the stinkeye from my GF enough times I went for a 1 hour cold soak, drained the tub and soaked/agitated for about 5 minutes in more cold water. If it were me with the Loomies, I think I'd soak for about a half an hour cold. Really it's up to you and the way they fit etc...

Thanks, @stevekas.. I'm gonna do that. How'd you deal with the wrinkled mess the process left your naturals? Did you iron them? I might try it on a silk setting. Hopefully it won't kill the kakishibu..

wisdom the wrinkles went away pretty fast with wear. The kakishibu stiffness breaks down fast in my experience. Don't forget to post pics!

Mine showed up yesterday but was too busy with Christmas to do anything with them until tonight. Mine also fit pretty well pre-soak, maybe half an inch of ease. So I put them on and jumped in a hot tub tonight. I'm hanging out on the couch as they dry. I think the shrink-to-fit method is going to be perfect. If you try this way, lay flat on the couch or something. If you sit in a chair with your legs bent you can cause ugly bulges in the knees.

I plan to try them on tomorrow. I tried wearing wet jeans once and didn't like it. I'm hoping I can get into them reasonably well and they will stretch a little after that. We'll see...

They'll definitely stretch, so long as you can button them you'll be all set. I'm not saying I enjoy wearing wet jeans, but just my way of making sure they don't shrink up too much. Best of luck to you! Let us know how you make out.

Mine were trim pre-soak!! (im a 35s and got 38s) so I soaked them warm (35-40 c) and then put a wooden stick in the waist and hang dried in the warm drying room. Snug in the beginning but fit good when you get used to the hugging of the calves. I recommend making this little stick bc then you can just wash them in the machine and put the stick in and dry in warm hang dry, put in closet and they are good to go. The only downside is that its a little hard to get the stick in after a wash, I have to stretch the waist by hand alot, then hurry and get in the stick, sometimes it wont go in and I have to put in one end and stretch like a #¤%&/ to get it in a little, then you can pull the waist and stick and work it in a little more and so on until it sits, then just hang them in warm dryer. This way Im also still using my IH 21oz thats tagged 34.

Loomies arrived late afternoon christmas eve. 36R and measured a tiny bit under 36. They are going into the closet unsoaked for 6-12 months. I have no need to keep more than one pair of loomies active at a time.

Hey guys, one small bit of unrequested input. I bought some unsanforized PBJs last fall (pretty sure they are "loomstate" too but not important to the story) and I was worried. They fit just a little loose pre soak and a quick calculation told me 6-8% shrinkage would be jegging territory. I considered selling them for a second but they were a special edition and I really wanted to keep them.
So....I did what any dipshit would do, I soaked them while I was wearing them.
Lay some towels out on a floor, grab a couple more for the bathroom. Draw a tub of water that is almost too hot to get into. Put your pants on. Open a beer (you brought a beer right?), bring an opener and two more beers as well. Sit in the tub with your pants on. Feel stupid, allow your kids, wife, girlfriend, room mate etc to ridicule you. You deserve it. It's worth it though. Agitate the pants. Yes, I wrote that. You can figure it out. Drain the water. Refill with more almost too hot water. Sit through another beer. Drain tub. IMPORTANT - get out like Frankenstein's monster....do not bend your knees. Danger. Knee bags. Dry yourself off a bit. Yes I know you're wearing wet pants. Open third beer. Go lay on the towels on the floor and look at your favorite forum through the third beer.
When the pants are damp but not dry, take them off and hang them. You'll be fine. Also, remember that the waist will likely stretch back out to pre soak dimensions no matter what but you'll get the inseam shrink taken care of. These jeans are not normal. Neither are you, you just took a bath in your pants.
Anyway this worked for me.

Ickes which size did you get? 34 straight you should jump on a 35 or 36 regular if something pops up. IIRC, you have big calves and thighs, and although 'normal' G slims might work for you, I would caution against a loomie slim because they end up being slimmer than the standard slims. The regulars end up about halfway between a slim and a regular, although YMMV.

Agree. I have chickenlegs and got claus-feeling for a while with mine. Have to pull to get onto lower legs. #saucage-skin #paintedonjeans #oneofthetrialsintheSawmovies

Me too, mine have been shrunk to exactly where I need them in the waist, a 38 (from the tagged size 40). But, the legs are so tight. I tried them on and they were extremely tight around the calves. I had to wrestle to get them off. I ordered a 40 slim and now wish I got a 40 regular. I have a 38 slim in other Gustins and the Loomies are significantly slimmer than them. I'm not sure that I can make these work.

^If anybody wants my Loomies, let me know. They are labeled 40 slim....will fit like a 38 slim but with slightly narrower legs. I soaked them but did not wear. I can give measurements upon request.
I'll eat the shipping if you give me the cost, which was $150.

Details on the Loomstates that I am selling are on in the Gustin BST section. They are basically a 40 slim that is now 38 slim after a 30 min warm water soak.

Why are you selling if I may ask?

They got too tight in the calves. Its in his first post of the three, just above.
It is a strange feeling the first wears, but you get used to it. I think the silouette from the sides are better, and wearing normal jeans afterwards feels like wearing 2 sizes too big pants.
I happen to like it, but i understand everyone that thinks its too much.

Why are you selling if I may ask? As Griffin said, they are too tight on my legs. Definitely great jeans, but the fit is just a bit off. I could wear them, but at this point, if the fit is not perfect, I'm not bothering.
