Maybe this will help - I wear a 33 slim in Gustin and have the oni 517xx in a 33 or 34 one wash and they fit perfectly. The thigh was a little tight but they've stretched out.

Yeah. They're labeled as a straight fit and say they're roomy in the thighs in thr description. I just don't want to have to return them to Japan. benjaminpersitz...what size are you in Gustin? 33 slim.

benjaminpersitz- I wear the 33 slim in Gustin and just checked my oni 517. They are the 33 in one wash. I used the blueingreensoho measurements and it worked out perfectly. They were tight in the thighs when I bought them, but they've stretched out. I bought mine from rodeo bros.

I am laughing about how awful internet shopping is. I've gotten 3 different sets of measurements from Denimio's website, Denimio CS, and BIG. Haha. BUT, scoring these for $162 is awesome.

I am laughing about how awful internet shopping is. I've gotten 3 different sets of measurements from Denimio's website, Denimio CS, and BIG. Haha. BUT, scoring these for $162 is awesome. you're very likely to get some variance store to store since no two pairs are going to be exactly the same. i know that the measurements posted for several of the US based shops are an average taken from a small sampling of pairs. if you take a look at blue owl's site at the 3sixteen kibata SL-120xk and you'll see a set of pre/post soak measurements listed for a size 32. you'll also see a size chart listed in which the 32 numbers vary a bit. that's because the size chart numbers are an average and that pre/post numbers are taken from a specific pair. even if you were in a shop and tried 2-3 pairs on you'd find some differences in some of the dimensions since these are all mostly hand made products. the hope is that most of the measurements are within +/- .5" across the board...which can obviously be significant in some cases.

Did anyone get a 40 slim or straight loomies? And if so how did they measure when you got them?

the struggle! use my G credit on some loomies or wait for oni's 517-xxbe! I was pondering along the same lines as well having read that Denimio were stocking a slew of new options soon. Decided on the Oni's in the end primarily because their fits (tapered) will suit me far better, though Loomstates are one of the few denim options that appeal to me now!

the struggle! use my G credit on some loomies or wait for oni's 517-xxbe! Go with the Oni 517xxbe. Beige weft, heavier weight, cooler looking fabric, and for me the 517 is great fit.

If you have G Credit, get the Loomies, they're one of the cooller G's. Oni are available on Rakuten pretty much year round (unless you want Olive Secrets).

quick -- unless you've come up with some way to use Gustin credit to purchase oni, I can't think of any reason not to pick up the loomstate on your credit and then determine if you still want to spend the money on Oni. Unless your credit is only like $20 and you can only get one of them.

Anyway, just bought them lol...
34slim in G, I was thinking should take a chance on 36slim being too tight, or 37 being too loose?

Anyway, just bought them lol... 34slim in G, I was thinking should take a chance on 36slim being too tight, or 37 being too loose? If you're 34 Slim in "normal" G, I'd go with 36 Straight in the Loomies. I'm a 34 Slim in G, and have both 36 Slim and Straight in the loomies. The slim's are pretty damn small in the top block / rise after even a cold soak. 36 Straight, with a cold soak to start with, worked perfectly. If you go 37 Straight, I'm sure a hot soak would do the trick as well. But really, with the slim, they are wearable, but it's not so comfortable (on me). YMWV, based on your body. I'm probably going to sell my 36 slims. One cold soak, tried on for 5 minutes. I COULD make them work, but doubt I'll ever get them into rotation, as I have way too many pairs of jeans that fit me better. If you're interested, PM me. I did not wear them during the soak, but I did stick a 17.5" baking sheet in the waist while soaking and air drying, to prevent the waist from shrinking more than that.
