I keep a Zippo in my PBJ's just so I can get those sick ass coin pocket fades....
Backstory: I haven't smoked for 20 years except for the occasional cigar. I recently busted my son with a pack of cigs and a zippo (he's currently trying hard to rebel against anything that doesen't involve skating or hanging out with his friends). So rather than go the "now smoke the whole pack" method which is what my dad would have done, I made him flush his cigs and I carry the zippo like a war trophy, taunting his teenaged ass. I was PISSED about the cigs and told him the next time, he and I are going to settle the issue in international waters.
OK there was today's bad parenting/TMI moment.

If the coin pocket was a traditional pocket watch pocket like say levis still have I would have my waltham pocket watch in there but alas they are too small. The zippo is a war trophy as well. Kinda been a thing I've been doing since I got I to raw denim. Zippo fades. Ftw.

My dad had a Rolex Submariner that he bought in 1972 when he was a wreck/salvage diver for the coast guard. He had replaced the band while he was diving on the Alaskan pipeline and lost the original steel band. So he just carried it around in his coin pocket.

I got my 18oz Zimbs back from being hemmed today and I could use a fit check. How do you guys think they look? Looks good! I'm jealous! I really wanted these KingZims! I sized up as recommended To big and had to send them back. I love the way Zim cotton wears.

Really digging my Zim18s right now. I've worn them probably 20-25 days over the past six weeks. Definitely starting to soften up a bit, and they have some nice fades going already because they crock like nobody's business wherever there's a hint of friction.

Hahaha...very fitting! Sadly the watch never made it to me. It was stolen from our home in the mid 90s. My dad is passed on now, and I would have bare knuckle cage matched my two little brothers for that watch.

Thanks, Old26 & DigDug ! The pics make my legs look a bit beefier than normal but I think that was due to the long underwear I was wearing. This was my first pair that I bought in the straight fit (I found them on the Styleforum website from a private seller) and I usually wear a 33 slim. The waist and fit through the thighs are fine - a bit tight but they will loosen up as I wear them. Below the knees is where I was most concerned as I'm just not used to the bagginess of the straight fit but, then again, they will probably loosen up and the stacks will fall closer together over time (I hope). I see what Mattbert was saying about them feeling like body armor. These things feel tough as hell and my legs are getting a bit of a workout with the resistance but these may soon become my favorite jeans ever.

I think they are a bit on the baggy side, and you'd look better wearing slims.

Here's a top-down view: imgur.com/7S5dCmmThey're definitely more baggy from the knee down than my slims but the more I wear them today and look them they seem like a solid fit.

I think the cuff, the fit, and the amount of stacking you have going on is perfect. These are jeans, and I think jeans look good if they're a little baggy and have some stacking going on. Jeans aren't supposed to fit like slacks. Some may consider it sloppy but they're jeans I say, they shouldn't look perfect and flawless. Like devastitis said, as long as you are happy with it that's all that matters, but I think its a spot on solid straight fit.

Welcome to the Indigo Jackrabbit, the internet's finest long-staple cotton whorehouse. I rolled the dice and went with the only size they had, 32 slim. I normally wear 33 slim (except for my 18oz Limb's, which are a 32 straight) so I'm hoping these work out. If not, I'll throw them up on the For Sale page.

I had a feeling that was why you asked about stretch in the other thread. FWIW, by the "fresh outta the bag" numbers I think my ZimLites were technically the smallest pair of Gs that I own, but they fit absolutely brilliantly. They're 35 Straight, and they fit almost exactly like my Zim18s which are 36 Straight.

The funny thing is, I just measured my 15oz Zimb's which are a 34 slim and when compared to my 18oz Zimb's (32 straight) they measure up almost the exact same. (I know it seems strange that I am all over the map on sizing but I take what I can find at this point. The 15oz Zimb's seem to come around more often than the 10 or 18oz so I have to grab the 10 or 18oz models when I can find 'em).
