For those with the 18oz Zimb's how much stretch have you found the waist to have? I know Gustin says to expect about 0.5" of give in the waist but I wasn't sure how much the 18oz fabric would give.
The reason I ask is I picked up a pair of the 18oz Zimb's on Styleforum in a 32 straight. I usually wear a 33 slim which still has about an inch of give in the waist when new. I'm just not sure how these 32 straights are going to fit. I suppose if they don't work out I can always turn around and resell them.

Mine shrunk an inch in the waist after a warm soak but have stretched out to the original size after a week. I think they might stretch a bit more, but I'm using a belt to prevent that.

I think I'll be safe as long as I just do a cold wash and hang dry. Thanks for the info!

Bought nater's 33 slim zims and they fit perfectly and I love them. I have an order in for the latest zim offering. Not sure if that's a problem or a win...

I just got a pair of the Zimb 18's from a guy and man are these fine jeans! They're stiff as hell and feel like armor but man are they awesome!

They are amazing, but beware they croc like no other. I have indigo that transferred from my 18s to my canvas briefcase then onto my brown organic hemps this morning. #hipsterproblems

I asked to have a veg tan patch sent for me to put on my Zims (what the hell?). It was sent 10 days ago from San Francisco, and USPS tracking tells me it's been to Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Louisville (Kentucky?!) and is currently in Honolulu, probably at the beach sipping a cocktail from a coconut. There are so many places it could potentially visit between Hawaii and Melbourne. This veg tan patch will have seen some things, let me tell you, before it goes on the waistband of my jeans.

Well if your Veg Tan patch is chillin at the beach in Honolulu then by the time you get it he will not be a natural veg tan color. He will probably have a nice sun tan color to him....darker, golden brown.

My veg tan patch was chilling in rainy Vancouver for while until it decided to fly back to east coast.

Argh, the trials of being vertically challenged. I really wish Gustin offered hemming services so I could just wear my jeans right out of the bag. Instead, I have to bring them to a place here in the TC that does jean gems with a Union Special so I have to wait another week.
Le sigh.

Give Ciano time I have a really good feeling about the company.

Quick update on the veg tan patch: It left Hawaii and went to Sydney, Australia. From there it travelled back across the Pacific Ocean to L.A., and from L.A. it has gone to Ontario, Canada. That was 4 days ago. How is Ontario this time of year?

-14C (9F) this morning, a dusting of snow overnight. But I didn't have to scrape my windshield this morning. So I got that going for me, which is nice...

I bought a second pair of 18s in slim. I have a sickness... but they're amazing. My 35 straights turned 30 today, I feel obligated to get them over 60 before switching over to the slims. I think I'll justify them by keeping one an unwashed pair.

Been wearing my 15oz zimbs daily since September. No soak no wash. Fades are coming throw all over. Starting to think I should wash them but nahhhh. I have a feeling after a soak/wash they will be decently faded after a few more days of wear. ^ ping on the pics ;-)

I like these little cigars I get them on cigars international. Cigarillos. I like having a lighter just incase. Comes in handy every once in a while. @david - i had the oaks they had a bit more if a gray cast to them where the zimbs are slightly green. These have also lightened up over the months.

I have a zippo that I've had nearly 15 years. It's more or less a good luck charm at this point (and it fits nicely in the coin pocket.) and it does come in handy!
