I have a piece of Wood, like half an inch stick that is sawed to my waistsize. I jam this in after Washing the loomies and it makes them buttonable after drying.
Sometimes its hard work to get it in there. Usually I have to stretch and lirk and so.
I sized it after wearing the jeans for a very Long time. Start with a too Long stick and take off a litte at a time. It should be hard to get in but possible.

Just got mine in the mail. I ordered a 34 straight and they measure up (pre-soak) as a 32 straight. They came in 2 sizes smaller than spec?

Just got mine in the mail. I ordered a 34 straight and they measure up (pre-soak) as a 32 straight. Got mine as well today (33 straights). Bottom line up front: Gustin hemmed these at a 34" inseam. They are supposed to be a 36" inseam (per their own web site) to account for shrinkage. So they're useless to me and going back to Gustin (I'm 6'1" and can't do anything less than a 34... these would probably be 32 post soak). I'm having to return most of what I get these days from Gustin for QC screwups on their part. Don't know why I keep doing this to myself. They have never bothered to truly fix their QC issues. Anyway, on to the jeans themselves. These measure spot on for a 32 straight (one size below tagged, just as Gustin advertised). The denim is great, would have been a perfect weight for me. It doesn't have the slub of the original loomstate. It's a "cleaner" weave of denim. But really solid fabric. No complaints with it whatsoever. But for the inseam screwup, these would have measured perfectly for me post soak. Shame.

Wow that is why I didn't keep them and sold them off pre-shipping. I would have ordered 38 straight which would have sewed up like a 36 slim! Shrunk to a 34 slimOuch. I guess I got lucky not keeping them. Damn Gustin. Why why we love you so much but these things keep happening.

I really don't get it. Why do they have such problems with loomstate denim? For one of their more pricey offerings you'd think they would have watched the QC closely on this.
I'm going to try mine on later tonight after they've finished drying but from what I can tell it looks like my 34 straights (which sewed up as 32 straights) shrunk up to a 33 slim which is perfect for me.

I'm hoping to get a 30 Slim (or 29.5") form 33" straight , that measure 32". I'm a hair under 6', so hoping the inseam doesn't shrink more than 2"...32" is an ideal inseam for me.

i'm ok with the inseam being about 36"... 34" is fine for me pre cuff, I'm 6'2".
problem is the rise, its only 10" presoak my junk is squished enough as it is.

wait another minute, the sitting in the tub thing you would need to do with every wash then right? Otherwise don't they shrink up to whatever they would be naturally as if you hadn't done it the first time? What other washes? ;-)

Seriously though, mine arrived today and I just did a 45 min cold soak in the tub with me in them just like some of you other maniacs. Have you guys found they'll shrink all they're going to on the first soak, or will they shrink more upon subsequent washings? I plan on machine washing them on cold gentle cycle/hang drying them in the future

by the way, my 38's measured at 37.5-ish waist pre-soak.
