Found these guys the other day, I think they might find an audience with some of the people here, so thought I'd share. According to their facebook it seems they have a new album coming soon.

You can hear his drive in the voice omg if he werent held back by those times...the sky woudl be the limit Totally totally totally agree. In his later stuff and the apartment tapes, he was 100% starting to knock on the door of what the Beatles ultimately got to. He was playing around with form, and song structure, and melody and I truly believe he would have been one of the biggest artists of all time. He was a musical genius.

I have seen both "buddy holly story" movies and whn I think about it its even more crazy because not only wasnt there alot of music like that (from what I could understand) so he was a pioneer, but also it looked like it was forbidden, looked down upon. We dont have that now but still there isnt often someone comes and totally blows peoples minds. The day the music died indeed.

At the Drive In is 1,367x better than Mars Volta. And Garden Variety, Drive Like Jehu, Fugazi, Jawbox, Nation of Ulysses, Sunny Day Real Estate and The Dismemberment plan are all 1,367x better than At the Drive In.

Maaaan, just one guy's opinion, but this album by Jawbox is infinitely better than anything by At the Drive In: And In on the Kill Taker is infinitely superior to anything Minor Threat put out. Moar Guy Picciotto pleaze:

New project from the singer of Dillinger Escape Plan and a guy who played live with NIN. I really like it: intelligent 80s electro-pop but also very contemporary sounding:
This track is much more like NIN:

damn, I feel old. I saw Fugazi at First Ave in Mpls during the In On The Kill Taker release - $5 tickets. Good times.
Sunny Day Real Estate went down the sh*tter after Jeremy Enigk left the band and became a Born Again. I stopped listening to them after their second album
