Kurt Vile continues to impress me. Hoping his new album keeps up the trend. Also really looking forward to new Gary Clark Jr stuff.

It's been 6 years since I drove the Boston rush hour. Get out! Get Out Now! And yes to Jack J. He's put out some really solid albums.

I'm not even in the city! I spent 7 years in there for school, I knew better than to drive in every day for work. Heh.

unnamed seems to like his music on the political side. I'm an equal opportunity offender (nothin' personal). Let's rock!

Was just listening to some random music and came across whiskeyriver: Haha. Funny! Yeah. My name came from the fact that: a.) I like whiskey. b.) I am an outdoors nut. c.) One day, long ago, that Willie song came on my first generation iPod, and then immediately after this song came on - 4.) ...and then that same day, when signing up on indietorrents.com, I picked this screen name. /coolstorybro

I love how the repeat the chorus of "Shadow of Love" in "Beverly Terrace" later in the album. Great callback. Gotta love Sloan.

At Action Park and Songs About f!@king are personal faves. Gotta love Rapeman too. i grew up listening to big black and remember being a bit dissapointed about rapeman. i missed the drum computer a lot. but the radical minimalism of shellac won me back. i never had the feeling before that rock music could sound like architecture. i guess the nineties weren't my most sober years though.

LOL. Nor mine. I remember loving Rapeman, but the last time I listened to that album was over a decade ago haha.

Both great bands there. Deerhunter's 2008 Halloween show in Atlanta was one of the best shows I've ever seen.

RIP, Jay ya big dummy.

Hahaha....yeah, that's an accurate statement. I can remember jamming my headphones against my ears while riding the bus, just trying to hear things halfway clearly. The last time I saw Jesus Lizard sometime in the early 90's David Yow engaged in some serious puppetry with the frank and beans....had names for all the little sculptures he made. Yes the show rocked as well. Also the last time I saw a show erupt into a full fledged bar fightat the end of a show. Grabbed my GF and gtfo'd Now you say they're going to throw that guy in Flipper.....could be epic.

My son, 15, when flipping through my old vinyl came across "Songs About f!@king" while trying to find stuff to pilfer. Kid listens to some very intense Deathcore, electronic music and the standard rap and hip hip varieties that are ubiquitous with kids.
He looked incredibly concerned by the cover, pictured his dad around the same age buying it and became profoundly uncomfortable. It was a beautiful moment.
