i've been known to do a pretty good Arnold impersonation. I do it with my daughters all the time. I will carry on complete conversations with them in my Arnold voice and they think it's hilarious at first but after about 5 minutes their like "Daddy, shut the hell up please"..lol. One key is to make everything plural and add an "and" and "the" between everything, or as much as you can.
Example;
I would say; " I like to do clean and press, bench press, pull ups, squats and deadlifts"
Arnold would say; "I like to do the cleans and the presses, the bench presses, the pull ups, and the squats and the deadlifts"

He was wearing his cowboy boots like I was, but he was not humored as I was bout 10" taller than him - or it felt like it and he wanted to spend very little time standing next to me. It was actually very obvious and funny. I said to him "I love your boots - I have mine on too". When you get a chance to take a piss with the Terminator, you do it. That was after he became the worst governor this state has ever had, and that's saying something. I no longer do Ahnold voices as he was just a tool.

Hey ickes.. Still sticking with it! I'm on my second lap through the workout and hate it just as much now as the first time around I only skipped the 2nd leg workout of the 2nd week and last week. My move to Singapore lost me a day so my routine was shifted, giving me rest days on Monday. Figured I'd finish the first go around and reset to Mondays by skipping the last day. I've started working out in the morning. I know I won't have time after work and thought I'd use jetlag to help me adjust the first few days.

3 weeks currently on the kris gethin 12 week muscle building plan. Going really well thus far. Before I started I wasn't convinced this guy knew what he was talking about and I felt he was just a paid BB.com guy. But I'm starting to believe his methods.
Also I'm not a fan of those muscle pharma bars. I'm staying away from soy protein (trying to avoid soy letchin as well).

Soy protein. Taste is fine! Just been staying away from soy like it causes too many issues like estrogen and make breasts.

Soy protein. Taste is fine! Just been staying away from soy like it causes too many issues like estrogen and make breasts. I think you may be blowing the soy protein out of proportion. You might need to read some studies and reports on that. You need to take in a lot of soy to get to that level. And it's not a soy protein bar, taking a majority of its protein from WPIs and MPIs, but I understand the worry. Quest is better in that regard, but a negligible amount of soy aside, MP's CC Bar is a great alternative to Quest. I've been eating Quest for a couple years since I haven't found a decent replacement, until MP.

Do you guys know if there are any bars with about 5 g creatine? The reason I ask is that I sometimes travel overseas for work and don't really want to take a white powder in my luggage for obvious reasons. Creatine in a protein bar would be great for this purpose. Does it exist?

^I guess I can always use capsules if I can't find the bars

You've got to take multiple capsules to get a typical 5 g daily dose. With most of them it's about 6 capsules per day. I also read about the bar manufacturing process possibly affecting the creatine but I'm really not sure it it's true. There's no way to know because these products are generally not "studied" under different conditions, such as extreme heat or cold.

I usually take creatine with a serving of BCAAs preworkout, then a serving and a half of BCAAs during the workout. If I had to take a bunch of caps for both, I'd probably never workout.

the way soy has been linked to cancer I stay away from in in all forms as best as I can. Soy letchin is in so many things now it's hard to stay away completely. But 100% I stay away from soy protein. Hell the FDA almost but a warning on soy but the lobby is too strong.
Another thing they don't tell you what % of the 20g protein is from which protein source.
The Monsanto soybean is a GMO and basically they own the soybean and have a monopoly in the market. Hell the US is the only major food producing country where gmo products don't have to be labeled.

Your concern over soy is understandable, but it is overblown. Asians, for centuries, primary protein source was soy. Also, soy contains phytoestrogens not estrogen hormones. They act like estrogen hormones, but because they are present in the system, the system doesn't produce more estrogen, which is a good thing. Here's some links stating fear of soy is overblown. www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/11880595www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/17885008 (this link shows that it helps prevent prostate cancer in those with high risk of getting it) goaskalice.columbia.edu/soy-p...male-impotence www.health.harvard.edu/newsle...n-and-soy-milkAnyone can make a study that links the consumption of anything to cancer, since cancer is pretty random. www.hopkinsmedicine.org/news/media/releases/bad_luck_of_random_mutations_plays_predominant_role_in_cancer_study_showsIf you don't want to take soy, just to be safe, make sure to do a good job of balancing out your other protein intake. Whey protein by itself isn't all that great. Balancing it with casein protein, vegetable proteins, and etc. will be the most healthy route.

Not sure I can agree with you about Soy causing Cancer. Tofu is one of the major stable in Japan, Korea, China and many of the Asian countries. If you look at the cancer rate among coutries, they are among the lowest. On the other hand, agree with you totally about not consume any soy products on work out. It was awhile back and getting off soy protein with whey helped me to gain more muscle especially on shorten recovery time. Since then, I do consume soy once in awhile but not as workout supplement.

Soy in the USA is not soy that is in Asia. Monsanto (round up) has created a soybean that is a GMO to be able to withstand round up pesticide. Aka round up ready seed. Small soybean farms have basically been shut down due to patent infringement since Monsanto owns the GMO bean. The crap the FDA allows is nuts. Hell pink slim filler was fine until it was brought into the lime light. Shredded cheese is gross too with cellulose.
Just like wheat today is not grown like wheat was back in the 1920's. Look at today's wheat vs sprouted wheat.
I've been getting bigger into knowing what I eat. I try to go GMO free and organic with items. Not completely organic since something it just doesn't matter like a pineapple or avocado.
The soy bean and corn industry are very large powerful companies with a strong lobby.

brentkuz completely agree with the current monoculture trend happening in the us corn/wheat/soy crops. won't be beneficial in the long run for us or the environment.

Look at the influx of diseases from around the 80's- now. Celiac, chrones, peanut allergy, autism, ADHD. Maybe it's a over diagnoses of things but something is going on. Changing food from it's natural state to a GMO is like taking human away from their natural state and putting them behind a desk for 8hrs. Sitting is killing people.

Food in is interesting but of course it's one side of the spectrum. Certain things I don't buy organic because I haven't seen a reason to. Like things with meaty peels. Advocado, banana, green beans, pineapple. But others I always by non-GMO and organic. Corn, carrots, potato, berries. Corn wheat and soy are all huge business we just need to be better informed with what is going in our body.
