matt i use low rolling resistance tires, my first set lasted 80K miles and I only replaced them because I ended up getting unlucky and rolling with 3 of them having multiple patches. Tires are noisy though if that makes any difference as well as a little more expensive. Isn't that a little oxymoronic when I'm looking to opt for all-terrain tires on my SUV? I have highway all season at the moment and they've been great on the 4Runner. I ended up losing 2 MPG adding the new coils and lift on it. The ATs will just give me a little more rugged for the many fire roads I find out in the desert. Yes, my carbon footprint offsets those with hybrids.

That's okay, I've burned off rear tires in under 10k miles more than once. Also done my fair share of single digit mpg fillups after track days.

I've got no complaints on the current tires, they've gotten me easily 50k+ miles on them. I'm just itching for something with a little more tread and a better fill out in the wheel well.

I tried that initially but wife thought it was too far. She has been to Budapest, I have not. I'd like to get her to go on a river boat cruise of Vietnam and Cambodia.

road my my motorcycle yesterday and prolly went for about 40miles or so. Odometer is off since I switched chains as well as not putting on a speedo healer. Man my thighs were sore since i was gripping that tank, gotta relieve pressure on my hands since I like to death grip. been a while since I road and did a tuneup pre-maui trip last week so I went easy and road my pace. Stupid sun decides to come out after I finish my ride. Anyways, too many people on spending freezes on here making it a dull place, first world problems for us all. My Son and I rode down to Oregon, from Washington on Monday, and did 400 miles, and I rode to visit old friend today, doing about 250 more. Took the wife today, and that is about her limit. Its always better to relax while piloting, as you end up with much less fatigue. Also, if you ride the highways a lot, there is nothing better than cruise control. After riding with that feature, you'll never go back.

my highlight from yesterday's visit to the zoo with my boy was seeing a goose being attacked by a snow monkey. couldn't tell if the monkey was actually trying to eat the goose or just maim it. good times

You just have to acclimate. This probably makes more sense down here where it's hot consistently. But roll the windows down more often, drink lots of water and cuff a little higher. Looser weaves also make life easier, my Gustin Okayama Standards are dead to me.

that's the problem. the only lightweight denim I have in my closet are my G Cone Superlights, but those need to be hemmed. I wore my 14oz Leon Denim the other day and I was dying in my car with the windows rolled down, but that's a tight weave heavier denim. The humidity doesn't help at all. When I step out of my car my shirt is usually drenched with sweat.

It's dropped back down to low/mid 60's here in England after about 2 weeks of high 70's/low 80's..... I love the mild weather, but I'm hating the inconsistency, lol
