It's dropped back down to low/mid 60's here in England after about 2 weeks of high 70's/low 80's..... I love the mild weather, but I'm hating the inconsistency, lol That's how its been in the Pacific Northwest too. 88 one day, 60 and raining the next. |

thankfully the Warriors won the game and I got to enjoy it in person. One dude was wearing a Lebron jersey in my section but got heckled pregame by some season ticket holders behind me. Dude ended up covering up his Lebron jersey the entire night and sat down quiet. patiently waiting for next season- hopefully to make money during regular season haha  |

LeBron was the best player out there and played his heart out, I'd have kept that shirt on and reminded everyone around me how many points he had, vs the "MVP." Most of his team seemed to forget that this series mattered though. Nice to see KD show up big time and win the whole thing though. Curious what the off-season holds. CP3 to San Antonio could be interesting.

Yeah, I fail to see what is heckle worthy about LeBron. He is a historically great player who played a great Finals who had the misfortune of running into what could be the best NBA team of all time. I was also happy for KD. I don't think he got a fair shake after his free agency decision and he seems like a genuinely nice guy. It was cool to see him become a legit two way player during these playoffs.
CP3 to SA would be cool, but they still aren't beating the Dubs, especially if Zaza's feet have anything to say about it.

I give Pops a long leash, but the CP3 thing doesn't make a ton of sense. In Tony Parker you already have a point guard on the wrong side of 30 who will tie up a significant portion of your cap. Again, I love CP3 and Pops, and seeing those guys together would be super fun, but a CP3 move is a "win now" thing that potentially compromises your future. A "win now" move with the current Warriors team seems shortsighted. I don't know if Julius Randle is the answer either, but start with baby steps: dumping LaMarcus's contract if you can find a sucker. Seems like a Cuban move, no? Here's my pitch: CP3 to T'wolves for Rubio and LaVine!! Call it in! |

I guess I've maxed out on work wear because nothing has cought my attention in a long time.
Even the IH flannels are starting to all look similar to me.
Only thing I might look for now is another Oxford. The two pocket Work shirt look is getting a little tiring.

I've been procrastinating on ordering a Ratio wine oxford, as I like the fact they know how to do the collar right. |

I have been eyeing boots a lot lately, but that's really it. Shirting has kind of hit a lull for me too. I popped into JC**W last weekend while I was at the mall with my GF and left underwhelmed. I've always been a fan due to their great fit for me off the rack. I don't buy much from them any more but they were always good for an oxford on sale to fill a gap or some other type of basic. The quality used to be a noticeable step up from their Factory/Mercantile line but i was really inspecting their items this time and I could barely tell a difference anymore. Corduroys felt paper thin, shirts seemed to have the same stitch and finish as the lesser line. Even the Wallace & Barnes henley that i bought, only because of the 30% off sale, still has a tag on it with me seriously considering a return. Everything seemed to be MiC. Even the Factory line has most of their items coming from Mauritius or somewhere similar.
Anyways, just a rant. As much as I prefer online shopping I still like to put my hands on things if given the chance and my city has almost zero men's brick and mortar in "our style".

At this point and time, it takes a wow factor to buy something, as I have plenty of gear to cover my needs, and being retired, don't wear stuff out at work on a regular basis. After reconsidering the Gustin Belford/whipcord chinos, and their sizing, I concluded that my original pair of their chinos sewed up small, and their current size chart works, finger crossed they come to spec. I liked the IH whipcord chinos when they came out, but really wanted something a bit heavier fort Winter wear. The Gustins are a solid 14oz, and about 30% heavier than the IH, and 1/2 the price, so decided to try a pair. Other then that, my purchases have been Slowwww.

Haven't bought much recently; a sweatshirt from LL Bean is the only thing I've purchased in the past couple months. Not exactly a high fashion piece but for something to kick around the house in it's more than substantial enough. Less than $40 on sale, I'd recommend one if anyone is looking.
Moved in with the mother-in-law for the time being so I had to really pare back the clothes and get picky on what I brought over while we live there due to space constraints. My house needs a little finishing work then it's going on the market to be sold. Taking the profits from that and moving back to Tennessee after my wife gives birth to our first child in February. Big things popping!
Some of my favorite pieces I'm keeping with me for a Portland winter: Dehen sweater coat, IH 634SB, Levi's 501 STF, 3Sixteen Type 3S, Filson Cruiser, RGT neppy denim work shirt, Ratio OCBD, Ratio Chambray, Pendleton wool flannel. Time to put some wear in those items, I recommend them all.

OCBDs are rising their way up in my shirt hierarchy. Got a white one from Gustin that I like a lot and a green one from TS that's also good. I suppose a blue oxford would be the next logical choice, but I have too many blue shirts already. EDIT: Argg! Out of stock. I emailed CS too see when it will be back in stock. |

So been mulling Trickers Shell PTB's. Also lusting after that Viberg 2030 shell drop on Friday but err $1100 for a pair of boots is silliness at this point. Plus the mad rush to queue to make the 20 second sellout time. Was back to browsing the CF site for the wabash jeans again after checking out the Indigofera jeans that would basically run me about $140 more. Also, barmaid was inquiring last night after my CF coat wanted to get one for her BF, so that prompted me to go over there where I saw they now offer liners for their car coats. Been wearing some JC**W shirts the past couple days untucked and getting annoyed by the scoops and dick curtainy effect. These are a little older so run longer than the more current shirting. Was in SF last week for work. Umm, I guess this is my blog posting site now? Likely my first social media post in my internets career. |

I picked up a American Trench x Corridor shirt for like 1/3 normal price. An Epaulet sashiko work jacket/blazer thing. I am also waiting on a pair of Whites to be delivered in the next month. Ohh yeah, and 2 pairs of CF jeans that have been on order for awhile, 1 pair in 21oz and the other in wabash.
I am coming to SF for Dreamforce again this year so maybe I'll hit you up for lunch.
