I just ordered my first pair of 3Sixteens - Shadow Selvedge ST-120x.
Thought I'd get a thread going since one hasn't been started yet. Got these and another pair (will create a thread for those too) to try and get some electric blue fades going.
Anyone have a pair of these?

Nope, but do post your thoughts. Went with tellason over these guys, so would like to hear how it goes.

Am wanting a shirt and jeans in a fabric like this. The 3sixteen are not cheap but will be interested in what the fades look like.

I think 3sixteen is an interesting brand. Their shadow selvedge looks so good, I hope I'll get to try a pair of these one day. I have their crosscut flannel and it's gorgeous, great weight (9 oz), great feel (the interior is brushed so it's super soft) and overall a great fit. Here's a picture of me wearing it : Funny thing is I also own two Gustin flannel (Grey Ember and Indian Summer) and when they say "made in the USA using our quality of material and construction are typically priced at $175 to $300." I disagree. The 3sixteen flannel is $198 and seriously you can't compare. I love my Gustin but the 3sixteen is definitely higher quality.

I just ordered my first pair of 3Sixteens - Shadow Selvedge Anyone have a pair of these?I've got a pair, and I don't believe you'll be dissappointed. I've had them for about 3 months, around 50-60 wears, and still no soaks/washes. For 14.5oz, they have a more substantial feel. The fades are starting to pop.
imgur.com/a/PF79uSorry about the poor pics. I took them in low lighting, just before adding them to imgur. I'll add some with better lighting, soon.

Been eyeing that flannel up above for a couple of weeks now...really tempting.
Got the shadows in this weekend. They're a nut squeezer for sure. I liked the fit of them though, knowing I need to get some wear time to loosen them up. The color was much darker than I was expecting - almost black, super inky. I've sent them back for hemming and will get pics together when they return.

Thanks for throwing the pics up, scootermcshooter - kinda surprised those fades aren't brighter. Does the warp coloring lighten up with wear?

Unfortunately, the wears I put on them are not exactly productive. I can not wear them to work. They would be nearly destroyed by now, if I did. I'm relegated to night and weekend wear. It may take some time, but I'll get them there. That saturated inky appearance they start with does wear off, and they do lighten up. I loved that look they started with, though. It looked as though someone spread the indigo on with a spatula. lol

I guess my perception's tainted because they showed up together with a pair of RT's dark stantons and those had a slightly more blue look to them vs. the black. Once they come back I'll put them through a few good weekend rides and see how they look.

I guess I just like the fades and the idea of a fabric made specifically for them to sew up. Possibly not that much different than Japan indixo X black Gustins, though.

If you were to read more about them, you'd find that they are made "exclusively" for them by Kuroki Mills, from Zimbabwe cotton. So, they are not quite a G thing.

bugula, i was interested in buying the RgT Dark Stanton too, are they worth the price ? I'm searching for something black that won't fade, mid-heavy and not too slim, would you recommend it ?

i love 'em. had to hang them up over the past week with the temps we've been experiencing in DC and miss wearing them. i'll be able to break them back out tomorrow for a few days and am actually excited about it. the st-120x is really nice too but the top block fits me slightly different than the stanton. i'm a complete RgT fanboy at this point.

Don't think Gustin has done a blue/indigo x black from Japan. I have the cone and the italy, and they couldn't be more different. Based on my Japan Royal Indigo, I'd totally be into an "Okayama" version.
