i got a pair of kibatas last week. ordered the st120xks from blueowl. they sent me measurements of all of the pairs of SL and STs in the sizes i was interested in. once i chose which pair i wanted they had them hemmed and shipped within a day. pretty great customer service. the pair fit really well out of the box, except for the loose waist. i was worried the thighs would be unwearable after a soak, so i started with a cool water 45 min soak with hand agitation. the fit came out pretty great and the texture came alive a bit after the soak (pretty tame before hitting water). i'm really interested in seeing how these evolve with wear. It's like Christmas in August for you lol. Nice grabs!

Nice grabs! yeah, strange how that worked out...though the last denim purchase i had made was some G zimbs back in feb. if the aldens had worked out it would have been a very nice august indeed (especially once i get the ciano canvas and marshdown leather goods on order)

Good to hear they are working for you. My st-120x, although sanforized, were similar in fit. Loose in the waist, tight in the thigh. The thigh stretched out nicely, after they softened a bit. I had the waist tailored a few weeks ago. I had it taken in an inch. The fit is spot on. Now, if I would only wear them more. Recent additions to my closet have them taking a back seat. The sl-100xk being one of those. Hearing you have the same concerns about the st fit, you may want to try the sl, at some point. Post soak, the fit was perfect.

Any preference between the 17oz SL121x and the Kibata ST120xk? I want something tonal (gasp) and would normally grab the heavier pair, but am leaning towards the Kibata since their unsanforized. Just seeing if I'm overlooking anything.

They're not heavy by any means, but are quite starchy and ended up with a nice texture after the soak

bentin - hugely depends on what you're going after. i've heard nothing but good things about the kibata but if you've already got an indigo at that weight (I imagine you do) and don't have a good beige weft, i'd lean that way.

Ah...just realized I posted my thoughts in another thread ( selvedgestyle.com/thread/1329/martin-patrick-3 ), but I'll copy and past it here as well: Yes so by the way guys the T shirt itself is f!@king amazing! I highly recommend these 3sixteen T shirts. I'm buying two more white ones and a grey and an indigo. The quality of these shirts are like nothing I've ever had. They are all heavyweight and feel exactly like the Gustin heavyweight indigo, I think they are the same weight actually, only softer. These are awesome...just a top quality fabric. The fit is fantastic as well. A slimmer more athletic fit than the Gustin Ts but one thing to keep in mind with these is that they are long, which I love but some may not like depending on how tall you are and how you like your length on your shirts. Great heavyweight shirts though guys. Read more: selvedgestyle.com/thread/1329/martin-patrick-3#ixzz3mV61q5Ah

3sixteen × Tanner goods..... Woodlands wool collection
I liked the look of the TS Blackwatch Yosemite. But, like others, the buttons and chamois fabric just didn't appeal to me. These are definitely a great alternative. Although, they are more than twice the price. I'll be debating these. They look freaking sweet.

Admittedly the most expensive shirt I own, but definitely a favorite.

Are the 3Sixteen tees tube knit? I like the weight, but the tube knit Left Fields sure seem like a better deal, unless the 3Sixteens are also tube knit, in which case I need to try a few.
I've noticed that the majority of my cycling charity shirts are tube knit, as are the Hanes undershirts I've got, but many chi chi ones still have side seems. Not a deal breaker, I like the Save Khakis I grabbed, just would prefer the lack of seams.

And long is good. I will likely try a few of the indigo ones either way. Might as well crock up my chinos.

That's what I like about these is they have good length to them and they are a good fit all around, plus a good weight. Not sure if they are tube knit. I'll check when I get home. I don't believe they are

Cool, thanks. My Save Khaki are a little short, but still better than many brands, I'll give the 3 Sixteens a try, the weight is definitely appealing.
