hmmmmm....I'm a bit tempted on these. I have SelfEdge credit to burn. I'm certain, you would happy with the quality, color, and fade potential. They are not hard faders. But, they are not as easy as I thought initially, either. If you plan to wear them hard enough to justify what I believe will probably be close to a $300 price tag, I say go for it. **Edit** I saw a quote from Kiya, on reddit..... $265 SE , December 20.

Got the shadow selvedge jacket last night - will get pics up as soon as I can.
If you've been after a dark/deep indigo jacket, do not hesitate to pick one up, they're going fast from all suppliers and getting tougher to find.

Unfortunately, for me, the largest size they offer is a 2X, with 19.5" shoulder. Sometimes, I know exactly how feels to be Old26.

Is the quality of 3Sixteen jeans really worth the price? It's tough to give 3Sixteen a shot when I can snag a pair of Gustins for half the price...

I've only seen pics but that Shadow Selvedge jacket looks awesome. the fit is amazing. it's a really impressive jacket - i wasn't expecting much of a difference when compared to similar pieces from other brands but it's head and shoulders above anything else i've seen in the trucker category as far as fit and construction. again, if you want one, get it before they're sold out.

I've been eyeballing the shadow selvedge SL-120x but I'm having a hard time getting around the $230 price tag. They look pretty cool though. I also want a pair of the rogue territory black stealth jeans

How do 3Sixteen jeans stretch? Does anybody have experience with this?
I just picked up a new pair of ST-220x online. The calf and cuff fit is perfect. But the thighs and top block is definitely more snug than I like. Do I sell these or try to stretch 'em out?

Yes, you can get a pair of G for half the price. But, 3sixteen is less expensive than many others, too. The combination of Zimbabwe cotton, solid construction, and exclusivity to their fabric, makes it worthy of the price to me. If you really need a lower price point, some sellers have been known to discount them, from time to time. There was mention of one in the 1st page of this thread. I believe they were available for around $170. Not a bad price point, when compared to the $135 Zimbs G offers.

I did get a good amount of stretch in the top block, and they are just fine, now. The thigh should be your biggest concern....less fabric, less stretch. Mine were tight, but not unbearable. After a few wears, they loosened up enough for me to put on a pair of thermals underneath. I put them through a few wears that way, until I got enough room in them to move freely over my skin. It can be done. But, if they are so tight they cause discomfort, I'd probably consider selling.

Your post was super helpful, dude! I picked up this pair NWT for $150 from a seller, so I simply couldn't pass it up. Even though they're a little tight. So I think I'm going to keep after it...

My order from last week only cost $25 with their 50% off sale. The fit on the Uniqlos is perfect for me, and they're already hemmed at the perfect length. It's harder for me to make that leap to $230 jeans that I would still have to get hemmed, not to mention taking a chance on fit. With that said, when I have more expendable income I'll definitely take the plunge. The Shadow Selvedge are just so cool looking, not to mention the many other denim brands out there making quality selvedge jeans.

I just bought a pair of their st120s. The guy at blue owl advised to size down and was nice enough to give me measurements from three different pairs. All three were very different which kinda had me worried. Anyhow, they turned out beautiful. Really tight in the lower thigh but after a day of wear they now fit great. I'd recommend for sure. Not quite dad pants, not quite hipster. Really just a clean modern fit. I think I read they were sewed up at the same shop that gustin uses.

I think I read they were sewed up at the same shop that gustin uses. My understanding was that Gustin, Tellason, 3sixteen and maybe a few others all use the same shop in SF. It's called Seamaid Manufacturing. Story here.

You're prolly right. I didn't read that far into the story and May have the names mixed up. (I gotta stop posting half thoughts on here).
I can say for sure that 3sixteen uses a great fabric. That I know. Fit is trim. Its REALLY trim, but it will stretch and give. Definitely not meant for those that still wash weekly. I'd have a hard time recommending spending $230 for a pair but I'm glad I did.

Just ordered the SL-120X from Blue Owl on sale. It was either the shadow selvedge or N&F E3's, but 3sixteen won out because of the higher rise.
Can any of you comment on shrinkage? I'm gonna have them sent back for free hemming once I confirm the fit, but I'm curious if I should take into account shrinkage before doing so. I know it's sanforized so it should be minimal shrinkage right?
Either way I'm pumped. This is my first pair of expensive denim and I can't wait to break these in

If it behaves anything like the E4 you will love how they look as they fade. They fade fast also. I would just plan on about an 1" shrinkage on length. It depends on how picky you are with length. I see bugula bought a pair of St-120x. Maybe he measured before and after any soak or wash? I see a few others bought them too. Somone should be able to give length shrinkage feedback.

Indigoxblack is badass. Electric blue fade is beautiful. My e4 is fading fast and I am regretting not getting it earlier.

Any shrink in the waist and thigh stretched back out after a couple of wears. If the inseam shrank, it was minimal, and unnoticeable. I imagine they would shrink more, if washed in warmer water. But, to that I cannot speak.

Where in Japan is the E3 fabric from? I like the exclusivity of 3sixteen's SL120x but more than anything it was not wanting a thick 19oz fabric I could only wear in the colder months. 14.5 oz feels like a nice all season weight. N&F does have a pair I'd consider buying in the future, if not for the novelty of it (indigo selvedge with a green weft). Blue Owl was out of this in my size but no matter, the SL120x has been on my radar for awhile. I'm thinking my next denim purchase will be either Rogue Territory or N&F

Looking at the SL-140x brown weft (17oz). Trying to decide between these and a pair of Rogue Territory.
Anyone want to help tip things in favour of either Rogue or 3Sixteen?
I am a little concerned that 3Sixteen is made in the same factory as Gustin. Although I can always return them, that is a pain (and added expense) living in Canada. The other side is the SL-140x denim looks pretty cool.

3sixteen's denim is made in NY. I assumed it was the same factory as Gustin but was mistaken.
My opinion is that you can't go wrong with either brand. I was also debating between RT and 3sixteen but 3sixteen won because of their shadow selvedge. I plan on buying a pair of RT stealth Stantons next.

Can anyone comment on the difference between the 3-Sixteen offerings and the 3-Sixteen+?
The 3-Sixteen+ is offered at SelfEdge and is more expensive. Two differences I can see is it's made in Japan and has hidden rivets. Anything else set it apart?
