Here's some pics I took of mine: imgur.com/a/hYmDdI found that my wooden coat hangers are 17" across...perfect to fit one in the top and another upside-down inside the denim (just below the belt area) to keep the denim from shrinking when I do my initial soak (hot or cold). I'm looking forward to January 1.

If I recall STF shrinkage is primarily in the inseam and waist correct? Generally not much in the thigh?
I can use about 1" shrink in waist and whatever I get in length. The butt is a little tight butt I think cold soak will be fine.

I only sized up 1 and the waist fit exactly like a 33 slim (tagged 34 slim, measured at 16 3/4" across), so I had to opt for a creative solution in advance of a first soak.

I have been following this thread since I ordered a stock pair the other day. I'm a slow fader, so I was not going to do the contest, but I enjoy watching others' progress. Anyhoo, I ordered a size 33. They came in yesterday, tagged 33 but true waist 32". Havent soaked em yet. I emailed Gustin inquiring about exchanging, but I'm not sure they will go for it. If anyone has a pair that has a presoak waist of 33 (and as long an inseam as possible), I'm happy to trade. Hit me up. (Edit: Slim)

I sized up to 2 to 35 slim. Haven't actually measured but just putting them on seems about right. I'll get out the tape measure

So waist is approx 17.5-17.75 depending how I stretch it. So that's right on spec. Inseam appears to be about 36.25. The rise is barely 10 inches.

I think I'll keep those nice as my non beaters. My problem will be just sticking with one pair of jeans assuming these fit. As it is is wear scrubs or suits so I'm not in jeans often. I'll probably wind up being an observer but I do have some fade strategies. Nothing cheating though.

Well this suck. The stock store no longer have the next size up, if I needed to. I'll have to make the 38's work. They do look nice.

These sized up freaking small. I am a true 34 these days, and ordered 36 slim. These barely fit pre soak. Shoved a baking sheet in the waist that is 17" across, which fit tightly in it, and started the cold soak. We'll see. They are INCREDIBLY inky. My finger tips were blue from just handling them. All the tags and anything white on the jeans have crocking. The weft is nearly as brown as my Strike Gold mud wefts. Which are very brown. Actually, these are sort of bronze vs. the SG brown. This is very interesting, unique looking fabric for sure. Like nothing I have. So that's a major plus at $80+. However, it is way lighter feeling than I imagined. They feel lighter than 12 oz. to me, pre soak. They feel as light as my Lawless Candianis. That's the one (fairly large?) drawback for me on these. I am going to send them off for hemming and maybe tapering because I don't want the hem to get too wide after the length is removed. So the look: great. Fade potential: great. Weight: poor. Fit: TBD. All in all, though, these are a humongous value at the $80+ price point. Happy I got them.

We'll have to see how much stretch we can get.

We'll have to see how much stretch we can get. They feel fairly starchy and not like something that's going to stretch easily.

That's why I was kind of surprised they put them in the stock store before filling campaign orders. I ordered a straight fit slightly sized up, and Based on early reports I'm starting to worry about mine. Their additional stock wouldn't really have done me any good anyway since they're all slim fit (although if they suffer from the boot-cut fit of earlier straights, I might regret that, too).

Well shoot, I was waiting for initial fit reports to come in before I jumped in on these with the stock credit I have and they are now all gone... Damned if you do damned if you don't. If anyone has a 40 in straight or slim they don't want let me know.

I just got back from a trip to Vegas and my American Antiques were here awaiting my arrival. I opted only one size up (34 slim vs 33 slim). Overall, here's the measurement right out of the bag: Waist: 16 3/4" across (33.5 pre soak) Thigh: 11" Knee: 8" Opening: 7.5" They fit perfectly pre-soak. Well, aside from length. I'm guessing only 1 size of shrink will come and maybe I do the two part soak: 1. Cold soak for the waist with something at about 33.5" across to keep the waist livable. 2. Hot soak the rest to shorten them up a little. Aside from that, the weft is way more brown than G showed in their pics. Had time to kill, so I did the initial soak... Did the hot/cold soak combo - hot soaked the legs and cold soak for the upper half. Also used the hangers to keep the waist at a reasonable level. Updated measurements: Waist: 16 1/2" Thigh: 10 3/4" Knee: 7.5" Opening: 7" Front rise: 9" Overall, I can completely work with these, so long as I stay on my fitness routine and don't let the holidays derail me.

stephenpowell, is there a reason why the rise on these is so ball-crushingly low? They are certainly under spec for Guatin slims. The rise on these post soak is slightly above 9" vs. the spec 10.4. They are crushing my manhood as I type this.
