I have received some Flannels but nothing that excites me. The Pendleton mill will sell to me but they will not honor wholesale pricing since I sell international. They what $35-$40.00 a yard. That's how they keep the competition others out of there game. If only they made the clothing here and not in another country. So I'm looking at some other options. The challenge is American made wools. Nothing outside of US? I am wondering where IH gets their flannels. I know most all of the flannels I have seen on IH have said fabric from Japan.

So I'll reach out to my Japanese mills and see what I can find.

roman I wonder if these guys would do wholesale www.lochcarron.co.uk/reiver-tartan/ This is the lightest stuff they have and it's 10oz. No idea if it is soft like flannel or has more of a rough wool feel. It is the stuff used as lining for Alexander Leather's jackets.

I could be wrong, but I believe the IH flannel fabrics are made for IH

Dirty I have solids swatches from B Black & Sons. They just didn't have any plaids that I liked.

Moto vest looks really clean looking.
Looking at everything all at once makes me realize the 1st LD collection will be quite strong but also simple enough that anyone of us can pull off each item.
Plenty of time for Lawless to hit everyones wants & needs.

I haven't bought any of their stuff since they started making it offshore.

Just to let people know : For the pictures of the denim jacket type 2 in the new website, Roman is wearing a size L (he's 6" and 185, i saw that somewhere). I'm 6"2 and 189 and roman (via the chat that is btw a very very good and friendly customer service tool)confirm me to change my size from L to XL.

I'd stick with a thread that played off the brownish weft. Copper should be a solid choice.

I kinda like the route you were taking at first, but I might go khaki thread, or perhaps the topaz. I'm not a big "traditional jean contrast thread" person though, and I'm sure the copper will look great -- so if you love blue-jeans with the gold thread and denim jacket look, copper is probably the way to go. I think the black copper buttons are a great choice.

quick; I would stick with what you've got, copper threads and black copper buttons.

Just to ask: who else got a Type II? What fabrics/choices?
This looks like a solid, definitely retro garment that, if it fits (Roman's looks great), will have lots of character.
I got the Indigo/Indigo Kaihara, Topaz thread, Black/copper buttons, and Samurai patch (when it was still an option).
Slightly bummed that I got it the day before the sale, but other than that I'm pumped.
Any other Type II love out there or do you guys not wear denim jackets? (the fate of the G denim trucker hangs heavy over us all...)

This will be my first denim jacket ever and I'm pretty amped for it. I have a feeling it will make me want to run out and buy another motorcycle.

I like the look of the Type 2, but just don't have a need for it at this time. I think the G denim trucker might have done OK if it didn't have such a crappy design. Only they could make something so weird.

Only they could make something so weird. Your digs at Gustin are getting old. I didn't think their denim trucker was bad at all. I didn't back them because of the timing, it was going to ship in the beginning of summer, and wanted a different shade for my trucker.

davelewis; what don't you like about the G trucker? I am quite happy with mine. The only thing I would change is the collar but it's not so big that I can't wear it. Plus, I would think that making the collar smaller would be an easy fix for a tailor.

In my mind I was envisioning the denim chore coat from way back when, and I didn't like that one at all. The trucker is OK, but I have a couple vintage Levis made in USA, so had no need to buy Gustins version.
