Working on Chinos right now. any thoughts? Your man DD posted up some sweet looking chino cut selvage denims by RRL, I think.. it'd be pretty awesome if this was an option when selecting cut Trust me I am pushing for these. My green twills are damn near the greatest pants I own & the fabric u guys would freak over. I wish i could show each of u how thick, crispy & waxy they are....so badass. I think this particular cut would be good for everyone. Im gonna measure mine now to give an idea of where they are

Mine are vanity sz'd so a tag 34 measures 36 front rise is 10 thigh is 12 knee is 9.38 and hem is actually 9 on them but the stiff fabric keeps them in order.

RRL. They did them this year in the same fabric but indigo dyed. The indigo version pops up in the sale going on every once in awhile.

matt I'm hoping Roman can get ahold of some Ventile (cousin to Milerain?) cloth. I'd really like to do a jacket in that. Something like but a little more stylish/retro. Hopefully people find the new site more informative and user friendly. DigDug...I think this is the one Roman said he didn't want to make I could be wrong though so don't hold me to that statement

So damned impressed by some of the detailing (& heritage style w/ flexibility/options) at Lawless. The fan/fantail stitch from the old US sewing machines are an AWESOME inclusion on some/all (?) of their jeans, too. Very cool.

I'm with you on that Highlights, That stitch is on all of the jeans I believe. I don't even have mine yet, but I'm sure that Lawless will win me over completely once they're in hand.( by Monday I hope) I have no doubts that they will live up to my expectations...not that they're very high...I am but a humble noob

Guys, anyone have an L type 3 yet? I am going to pull the trigger I'm almost sure, but wd like to see a review.
I'm also not sure how custom they can make it ... I have broad shoulders (I wear a 38 jacket) but narrow waist (size 30 in Gustin), and I want the thing to be fitting. Not sure if you guys have asked Roman about how much their sizes can accommodate weird proportions? (Also, if he's going to stick type 2s and other jackets up I'm tempted to wait to see what those look like. Damn that type 3 looks nice though.)

And is it just me or do you guys think the female models in Lawless site look smoking in those stretch/skinny jeans... it's kind of outrageous. I need to buy some of that snakeskin fabric for my wife .... damn... but I'd also need to convince her to wear it! Off topic but do your wives/girlfriends sport that look? Tips for encouraging it? My wife has the body but I'm not sure if she's willing to squeeze into denim to that extent...

Honestly, if you want to pull the trigger on a jacket - I highly recommend it. Roman is very accommodating with this group - we're his biggest cheering section. I'm local and have seen (tried on) the jackets in the pics (I took the pics) and can attest to the quality. As for sizing, Roman tends to take the standard sizing sizing guidelines per industry specs and add his variances on it. He likes a slimmer, clean fit - but for your fit, I'd even reach out to ask for the specific customization you need - Roman will keep it on your file for future order:) As for the Mrs., my gf is the same - the stretch denim is spot on. I was in the old downtown Phoenix shop speaking with Roman when a regular shopper came in to "restock" - she was buying 3-4 pairs of the stretch at a shot since they had the right amount of rise (low) and Lawless knew her measurements exactly. My girlfriend is the same way with her fit - she has a favorite pair that fit perfectly - I'm taking those specs into account when I order her denim from Lawless.

My favorite look for my wife is when she wears a nice fitting jean with a button down tucked in with a nice belt. Also great with a plain vneck tee. My wife likes it but doesnt think its sexy. I swear when she does dress like that my hand remains planted on her ass

Thanks Matt. Damn, that resolve lasted like an hour max. I just bought a Type 3 in Indigo over Indigo, sending Roman some of my funky measurements. I got it will brass and egyptian topaz thread and the Eagle patch. Will be sending on pics when it arrives in a month or two! Thanks for encouraging me to hit the button! (it didn't take much... and now all I have to do is get my wife into that Japanese stretch ....) Roman, I'm counting on you man!

Roman. If you're still happening through this thread, I know you have better things to do with your time, but I'll love you forever if one of those new jackets coming with the new site is a "tailored fit" waxed canvas blazer. I was wearing my waxed chore coat today and it dawned on me that a waxed canvas blazer is what I need in my life. I'm sure there are better ways for a similar aesthetic with a different fabric, but I could see something like that quickly becoming my favorite piece of clothing. Maybe something like a ventile or something that breathes better than waxed cotton would be better, but I think with the type of design you show a strong eye for, you could make this something special. Oh, and if I have your ear, three buttons, please. Also, as far as ideas... Given your model, you can also, maybe, release a design, and then if you like, say, made a CPO with five million pockets on it, you could maybe give people the option of having you guys leave one or two million of the pockets off (checkboxes on an image, or just a keyed image where you check the appropriate boxes) or something like that without really having to alter patterns. This would also be a beautiful thing.

omething like this? I made it out of 10oz. Candiani Mills Selvedge Denim. I never finished the buttons. These are very labor intensive since a lot of the finish work must be done by hand if it's to be done write. Attachments:

yeah exactly like that (though I would definitely not go for it in denim). you're too much, man. Beyond that personally, I'd almost like to see it modernized a bit by maybe squaring off the front of it a bit (though this gives it more of a coat look than a blazer)? Three button single breasted -- four if you absolutely had to, but two just plays a little too trendy. Also, are the darts (is that what they're called?) running down either side a functional requirement, or could they be done away with if one had very specific measurements prior to cutting it?

I haven't worked on is for about 8 months. We can leave the darts out but it does make a difference in the fit. This is more of a slim fitted jacket. I would revisit this if there was an interest. See if you can find me an image of what your thinking.
