So I've pulled the trigger on another pair of Zims and a pair of Italian BlackXBlack, but I'm wondering about my sizing. My current Zims are a 33 slim and I can fit both hands between my body and the waist of the jeans with little trouble. This is after 40 or so wears and no soak. They are super comfortable and don't fall down if I don't wear a belt. So it seems like they are the right size. The thing is my waist where I wear my jeans is between a 34.5 and 35 (measured again the other day before the semi-annual Dr visit). So that should mean a 34 slim Gustin, but if anything my waist was between 34 and 34.5 when I ordered my current Zims. So the question is do I get the new pair in 33 slim and plan on it stretching and breaking in about the same or go 34 slim?

jbreitenbucher: see post right above yours. Measured the circumference on my 33 slim American Sixteeners. It seems to line up with what you're running into. If you like the way they fit, order the same size; if you think they're too loose and don't plan on gaining weight, size down. I wouldn't recommend sizing up unless you want to avoid any need to stretch, but as the denim breaks in it'll still loosen up, and you'll end up having to put some pleats in 'em.

exophobe thanks. I should not be in such a rush and should at least read the last post I guess I'll change the sizing on them while I still can. Just as well since I really didn't want 36 inseams and have to deal with that.

hmmm ... anyone know if Cody is still with Gustin? I just emailed CS, and the auto-responder sig says:
"The Gustin Team (Ren, Stephen, Josh, Sam and Sarah)"
Just curious, as Cody was always great to deal with. Appears as if Ren has taken his place? Big shoes to fill, if that's the case. Cody always went the extra mile the few times I've needed it.

I heard that they got jobs as firefighters, with all the experience they received, putting out fires for Gustin.

I was wondering the same thing and then I got a response from him (yesterday and today) on one of my inquiries, so maybe he's gone rogue.

Been dealing with Ren for a while now. Maybe Cody took his skills over to lawless or created Kody denim.

Cody answered my question today, I had always dealt with Ren previously. Apparently the Japan One Seven are supposed to ship this week.

That's what they said last week. and that's what they'll say next week if they don't ship this week. If you complain enough they might give you a credit (or cancel your order), but otherwise, you might as well just wait for the ride to finish. You already bought the ticket. Jumping out of the car right now may kill you.

I'm patient, but if they aren't in the mail by Friday, I'll email again. If I don't get a more satisfactory answer at that time I'll have to consider asking for a refund.

I have only bought 13 pairs of pants, 3 belts, 2 shirts, and a duffel.... I am not a good customer, apparently.

I got one, first time, though. Maybe that's what they're doing with those bottle openers. I'd rather they send me some fancy clothing item, though. Or hey, my chinos. That'd be cool, too. heh.

no email for me. apparently they hate my badgering about the 2 pairs of chinos every week. somehow i'm lucky enough to have missed out on the denim cardholders, aprons, and various other trinkets that they've passed about from time to time.
