Hello i am looking to purchase the sea blue denim and was wondering if the 29 skinny would fit me, usually wear a 28, and since G doesn't have it in that size. I am a little bit worried about the 29. You're usually a 28 in what? Have you done full measurements of your best fitting jeans? +1 you need to measure your best fitted jeans and look at the "How to Measure" picture from the fit guide to get the true waist size. www.weargustin.com/fitguide

More then likly your size 28" are vanity size and will measure up more like a 29-30" (you need to lay them flat, straiten out the waist band and measure). Remember that a Gustin size 28" may sew up close to 29" and will most likly stretch another 1" over time.

yes my true waist is a 28, small guy. Everything else fit decently on the skinny for measurements except for the waist size.

I just warm soaked my Zim 18 after wearing them once and one of the coin pocket rivets just fell off.

Just got a pair of Raw Umbers - these are really really really soft and even when I've folded the cuffs, just by putting on the jeans the cuffs get deformed and loses its shape. Lol. Might need to just hem these instead. Any solutions to get them all raw and 'crispy?' again?

My raw umbers were actually pretty stiff and starchy considering how lightweight they are.

Thanks. I already did. I'm waiting for their response. I'm just a bit surprised as this has never happened to any pair of jeans I've ever owned.

They hold a cuff like it was superglued in place. noirkw: Did you get your Raw Umbers direct from Gustin or from a third-party seller?

Maybe they're Japan Umbers not Raw Umber? What's the identifier tag say (#XXX)?

There were no creases/honeycombs/fades or any signs of wear at all. I believe the original owner left it in the cupboard. But I'm wondering why they are just so soft if its not been worn. Might restarch these as suggested by MiddleAge. @ Exo - Not sure where I can find the tag. I don't see any identifier on the details patch inside the pants

I don't think those are the raw umbers. They look too light in those pics

@ Exo - Not sure where I can find the tag. I don't see any identifier on the details patch inside the pants It's a little white tag typically sewed into the waistband above the front pocket that has the Gustin tag sewn onto the pocketbag. yeesh. Picture is worth about 23 words, eh?

They almost look like the taupe, but they look like they've been washed a couple times so that could explain the different look, and the lack of crispiness.
*** the word look three times in a sentence... it might be time for bed.

I'd buy that they haven't been worn, but they've definitely been washed. I don't know what BNWOT means, though. Actually, from the Japan Umber campaign: Japan Umber up top, Raw Umber below. I'm guessing if the identifier tag is still on 'em, it's gonna say #90. I'm going with washed, though, based on no signs of wear and the condition of the leather patch. All this said, I think they look great, love the color. If you're gonna cuff 'em, then get out the iron and some starch.

and I think the Japan Umber is rarer, as well. I don't think that one has run more than once unless it was very early. Great color.

Thanks guys for all the clarifications. I've messaged the seller to check on the jeans if they have indeed been washed and he listed it as new. It was listed as brand new without tag (bnwot) and unworn. Oh I saw that tag, I thought it was the serial number of the jeans stating it's manufacturing number. LOL. Will check again

Will check again I'll echo the comments from those above. There's a 50% chance those jeans are the Japan Umber not the Raw Umber (tricky to really judge color on the interwebs, though the texture definitely looks more Japanese than Italian to my eyes) and a 100% chance they have been soaked or washed, possibly more than once. That's why I asked if you'd gotten them from Gustin or elsewhere. As soon as you said they were soft, I immediately suspected water was involved. That said, they appear to be in perfectly good shape. And a brown denim won't fade like indigo, so it's not like being washed previously is scuppering your fading prospects or anything.

status update on army green duck chinos (originally slated for dec) was just changed to: Production status: 1/15: Chinos finishing towards the end of the month and will ship in the last week of Jan and first week of Feb.
have any of the chinos shipped without significant delays? seems like maybe they should simply bump those out longer than 2 months to begin with.
the brown ducks will be around 2 months late and these will be nearly 1.5 months late by the time they're shipped
