Denimdon - I did receive credits earlier in the year as did others that had issues. My current $41 is from a referral and return credit. I never wanted a company to do well like I wanted Gustin to do. They honestly treated me great for a 5-6 month period. Something changed maybe I pissed them off of maybe they were changing the way the did things. A simple gesture like a credit or a wallet they had laying around really makes people feel differently. Cody always took good care of me and I appreciated it. Can we please move on from this, though? Anyone who wants to be pissed and rant feel free to do so via PM, or do whatever you need to. This forum is starting to turn into Lawless' early yelp reviews. All of the Gustin threads keep turning to shit, please do your part to avoid perpetuating this. I don't understand why someone has to boldly exclaim that they're done with the company or that they'll "take responsibility" for their purchases. Just stop posting in the Gustin forums or community, and move on to the aforementioned companies. No need to say you will. And I find it funny how the admin will edit someone's comment on the misnomer of the forum title, but won't stop the nonstop hate comments about Gustin. We've heard you guys already about your bad experiences. Don't need to bring up the same bad experiences over and over again in different ways. Move on.

We however have moderated many unreasonable posts about Gustin. We do not like negative posts but we do want members to be able to voice their concerns about any brand as long as it is legitimate. This of course can be subjective. We are trying our best to be fair. I believe we have explained that in this post already. We always suggest customers contact the vendor about their concerns before posting in a public forum. Give them a chance to make it right. Give them some time to respond. We believe most companies will do the right thing. If you are still not satisfied move on as suggested.

Dev and exophobe this is a thread about sizing quality and word of mouth. I listed all true incidents of errors that happened to me over the course of 9 months. That is not bitching or ranting that is talking about errors that have happened to a real customer that backed a ton of crap and spent enough money to buy a rolex with Gustin. I am done with that company 50% of what I backed had some form of issue. I bit my tongue for long enough about it when I started seeing this happening to other customers.

Do any of you guys that wear slim fit gustin tried a pair of skinny fit? Did you size up? was just wondering this myself earlier today when I backed the Cone Blacks. would like to get them in a skinny but going by their fit guide, in sizing up the thighs stay a bit skinnier. i'd like to eliminate some of the play I have in the top block but might need to keep the thighs. actually, looking at the fit guide, there's not much of a difference going up in size (looking at 35 to 36 for me) except for the thighs - knees and below stay the same.

There's a picture in the Gustin Forums of someone who would be better off with the slim, but I really haven't seen much of the skinny. From the reaction of skinny fans to the measurements, it seems you're better off with Nudie or perhaps even Naked and Famous (in the price range). Hot bath in loomstate seems to be the best way to get skinny.

Well, I'm going to experiment, ordered a skinny on the Pure Blues, sized up, let's see how that goes. I also think the thighs stay a bit skinnier than they should...let's see how it goes!

When the DoubleBlacks dropped, I was bummed that I missed out on them. So I asked Cody if I could jump in the offering or buy a pair if a pair got cancelled. Cody said he'll see what he can do. A week later I received a package from Gustin. I opened it, and it was Black2s in my size, the black pair of denim that I was desperately wanting. I asked how I should pay for it, and Cody said don't worry about it. Hooked.

Funny felt like those freebees stopped for me. Maybe I just pissed cody off. Who knows I was just sharing my freebie story, like the guy in the Reddit post. Mine happened in the summer. I didn't expect it then, and I wouldn't expect anymore freebies, but that one got me hooked. I'm assuming you aren't as well. Has nothing really to do with pissing Cody off or not.

I got a freebe back this summer as well. If def was awesome and really eased some fears.

sent my postal h.bone ws back late last week (just too long). i sent ren an email about it the other day; he apologized it didn't work out and said he could check what was available in my size as an alternative, get store credit, or a refund. today i shot them an email saying i wanted a refund, which cody just processed a few minutes ago.
just wanted to say that it was a painless process (my first G return), and obviously not true that they refuse to issue refunds.

Interesting reply from N&F on Gustin comments on Reddit about the new N&F Loomstate. From N&F "I'm glad you like our fabric, It's pretty amazing I'm sure the customers are really going to like it too. Rather than assuming we're using some kind of cheap fabric to achieve our price, why don't I tell you a little bit about our pricing model (since you guys are so open about yours) We're a 3rd generation denim company who have been making and distributing jeans and work wear in Canada for 69 years. We own and operate not only our factories, but also our office building and warehouse. We pay no rent, and we don't pay a middle man to make our products for us. We have no commissioned sales people, PR or advertising companies and no showrooms we have to pay for either. We've got a fairly sized distribution, so we're able to buy fabrics in bulk and pass the savings on to the consumer. We offer a product that is available in stores where customers can try them on for themselves. We have a simple philosophy, not ripping off the consumer. -Bahzad" www.reddit.com/r/rawdenim/comments/2p48ts/nf_summer_2015_natural_indigo_loomstate/

I think Gustin's comments were a cheap shot and unbecoming of them and, the N&F reply incisive.

I think Gustin's comments were a cheap shot and unbecoming of them and, the N&F reply incisive. Yeah, I can see Gustin having a response since their product was being discussed, but it wasn't necessary and would have been better to give a non-snarky response. I would have much rather seen them compliment N&F for releasing the product at that price point and stating how competition will keep them honest and fresh...or something semi-classy like that.
