If Diggy is selling, buy it. been wearing mine for over a week now and I'm in love with it. Just don't get much chance, but lately we've been in the 30's so it's my go-to. It's buzz vs pike bros right now. It's been so damn warm in the north east not making it easy to pull the trigger. Either is great. You won't always have warm winter days, and if you don't already have a really awesome cool/cold weather piece, go for either one. I mean seriously, how many paris of jeans can one wear?

Funny the El Niño is really keeping NE warm. I haven't broke out the N3b parka at all. Haven't even thought about it.

Yeah same in the midwest. But remember the immortal words of the Stark family of the north, "Winter is coming!"

What is the difference in the Buzz Rickson N1 deck jackets between the $350 and $530 models? Demotexed and that's it? Better fabric or better wool?

Honestly I probably asked it last year already. Just don't remember the answer. It's answered twice on page 2 of this thread. Just checking to see if anyone actually had an in-person. Looking back on this entire thread no one really had a 100% answer. Thinner material, not as nice pile cheaper materials but no one really had one to judge.

Thinner material, not as nice pile cheaper materials but no one really had one to judge. To put this to rest, I had contacted HP with this question when I was in the market for an N1. First, I was told that the demotexed version has a moth proofing element to it, is a heavier weight jacket, and more expensive. The less expensive is simply a lighter weight jacket. I also preferred having alpaca wool, as the characteristics make it a bit better than sheep wool, but the BRs are NOT 100% alpaca, but 20%. That said, I concluded for myself, that the 20% alpaca, was not worth double the price as the Pike Bros. I wore my Pike Bros on my evening walk yesterday, at 25 degrees, and 30-45mph winds, with a CPO underneath, and warm hat, and was very comfortable. I'd guess that you can't go wrong with either brand, but comes down to preference.

Might have to pull the trigger on the buzz. One purchase in 2016 can't hurt too much? Right enablers?

I'm so confused on Buzz sizing. I feel like I could fit in the large 40 for Buzz but I think the XL would be better.
Really looking at the A2 jacket from buzz. Be about 1k shipped and I would earn over $100 in rakuten points.

Just a newbie question is "Buzz Rickson" and "Sugar Cane" the same clothing company? Yes kinda. Think of it like this Toyo Enterprises is the parent kinda like GM. Sugar Cane, Buzz, Real McCoy's are the brands like Chevrolet, cadillac, gmc.
