That's a good way for the first soak/wash. Gets any shrink out of them. Have you hemmed them already? After a few washes like this I just turn them inside out and use the washer. Thank you, I'm hang drying the jeans now. Also trying to squeeze out whatever water I can. I Haven't hemmed them yet. I was thinking of leaving them at the 34 length. (I've been triple rolling them though. Doesn't look bad.)

I apologize in advance if I posted this in the wrong section or if there is already a thread on this. Today I'm doing my 1st soak on my Levi's 511 slim selvedge that I had for 2 weeks. The reason why I'm doing an early soak b/c my son spilled a lot of OJ on me yesterday. Moving on now... So I added warm luke water into my tub and used wooite dark, so far the denim has been submerged for about 20mins. I will wait another 10-20mins until I wash the woolite off. I made sure not to over do it with the woolite (about a teaspoon or 2 is what I used) I will gently scrub my denim before rinsing them off w/ cold water then hang dry them inside my bathroom since the weather isn't holding up to well today. I will post a follow up photo of the outcome once the denim is dried by tomorrow.

I've been looking into this brand for a day now. Might pull the plug and pickup 2 pairs, but which would you recommend? I'm still new at the selvedge game and just began to wear slim fit. Unless the measurements on the 511 have recently become more generous (not iutside the realm of possibility), you may be looking at the skinny guy. I'd take the 511s you're into right now, measure and compare. Last I checked, the weird guy is going to be a good bit more generous. If you don't already have one, save yourself lots of time, money, and experimentation and get yourself a fabric tape measure. Edit: unless you're going somewhere and trying them on, then forget the measurements, just make sure you've tried on the pair you've bought, and seek advice regarding shrink. Edit 2: I thought you were asking about fit. As far as fabrics to pick, if you're looking to get a lot of wear out of them, stay away from anything that seems extra gimmicky. Ok, I tend to stay away from anything that has stretch in them. I've checked the website and it looks like that the slim guy should be good, but I'll have to try them on once I hit Bloomingdales. Edit: I also tend to stay away from anything with stretch in them. I hate how they feel and so on. Edit 2: so I've taken a better look at naked & famous site. It looks like that the slim guy fit seems a. It looser than the weird guy fit, but I'm just going by photos and measurements. I'll keep ya updated once I head into Bloomingdales, Brooklyn Denim Co., or the jean shop in the city.

I suggest looking at Tate+Yoko's site or even Blue Owl Workshop's site to get a better idea as to what you want and what fit suits you. You can't really go wrong with their denim. Gotcha, I'm in NYC so I like to try whatever I decided to by on, so I hate shopping online for clothing and shipping them back if they don't fit. But I guess I'll have to deal with it. Lol

What are you looking for? Heavyweight? Midweight? Are you looking for certain characteristics? N&F has so many options and fits that suit many people. I have a pair of Left Hand Twills that i've been wearing for over a year, mostly on weekends. They were tough faders but now they're starting to look broken in and are my go to pair. N&F are a good option for a lot of reasons, it's just a matter of what you're looking for Good question. I guess mid weight will suit me well.

This is great, but how would they fit? I've noticed that certain selvedge depending on the wash (style, mostly slim fit) can either be a hit or miss for myself. Here is a link to the fit guide on the website. cianofarmer.com/fitguide.htmlI can't comment on the 3 different fits as I had sent in my favorite fitting pair of jeans to them for a custom fit. Added charge. I ordered the 16oz black and I wore them everyday for about 3 months. Now in rotation. One of my favorite fitting jeans. Give them a try. Feel free to call them with any questions. Great quality at a great price. Appreciate it!

Hi All We have wanted to do something like this for a while. Many members have asked about it and discussed ideas for a group buy of jeans to help celebrate the forums 1 year anniversary. We, the Mods, like the idea and have started getting some options and numbers together. We want to get an idea of how many would put there money towards a pair. This will help us get the best deal we can. We are looking at a the option of a heavy weight indigo selvedge jean with a custom selvedge Style Forum leather patch. A fabric that will produce nice fades. A few different fit options. Straight, Slim fit. Possible custom option, more money, maybe Skinny? $100-$140 range plus shipping. These will be of a high quality with features we are used to seeing on a selvedge pair of jeans. So please participate in the poll and please do not say you will purchase and then don't when the time comes. We understand if finances change and you can't swing it but we would like this to be fairly accurate. If you have been lurking the forum as a guest and are interested please become a member and join in on the fun and spending. We will leave this open for a week. Thanks your Mods. These are now available to order.$168USD 23oz JPN Limited Edition "SS" BLACK/BLACK PINK Selvage Denim ORDER FORM LINK cfdco1.typeform.com/to/kQoIns $105USD 20oz JPN Limited Edition "SS" Indigo Selvage ORGANIC Denim ORDER FORM LINK cfdco1.typeform.com/to/KdtYsW $95USD 16oz JPN Limited Edition "SS" BLACK/BLACK WHITE Selvage Denim ORDER FORM LINK cfdco1.typeform.com/to/Yel2w1 This is great, but how would they fit? Hello everyone. I'm new the selvage game. I went from wearing Levi's 511 and polo Hampton straight fits to Levi's selvedge 511 slims. I recently got 4 pairs. So far a week in with 1 pair. Love how they fit, but I noticed that it has gotten a bit lose on my thighs. Welcome, Some have had success buy hot soaking the top only. I've tried that. Seemed to work, but I noticed today that the 511 has loosened up a bit (which is fine), but I might just do a first soak and use a little woolite dark and hang dry them. I uploaded the pair of 511 slim selvedge that I got from Levi's. I purchased 2 of the same pairs. Plus 2 raw selvedge 511 slims. Love how they look and fit. Just need to make sure not to over where them. Lol
