This could be the end. Dunno. SF has an article up on the mainpage that names Uniqlo's Selvedge as "Best discount jean of 2016" @ $50. And they are not stretch. I heard that Uniqlo was pretty decent, but I doubt that I can fit into anything from there. Lol

Congrats my friend, it appears that you've discovered Gustin's inspiration for the "dad wash" denim. I'm sorry, but I don't understand what you mean by "Gustin" 😐

So I'm currently at the Gap since my wife needed to get a few things for herself. I take a walk to the men's section and notice they had a new straight fit Selvedge (keep in mind that the last time I've been to the Gap was about a year ago, I only knew about there Japanese Selvedge in a straight fit which runs big on me. Hence why I never got a pair from the Gap). So here are 2 photos of the tags from the new straight fit selvedge: I prefer slim fit. So I asked one of the sales people about the slim fit selvedge. They said that Gap had made them all stretch now. So that's a big no no in my book.

Been looking at this site for what seems like forever and haven't bought anything, can't explain it. I like a lot of their stuff. Experience anyone? Left Field NYCI live about 20mins away. Just came across there website today.

I haven't had any issue with KS, I usually do a lot of research on products especially when it comes to electronics. Just be careful with the denim game when it comes to KS. Will do and thank you.

alphatectz - While your enthusiasm is much appreciated and the new blood in this forum definitely ignites the dialog here, there's definitely a history lesson to be learned just by reading through this thread. If you want to be entertained by the dumbf!@kery of KS, just read through the Lawless thread. Quality entertainment. Granted, a lot of other companies leverage this strategy to boost awareness and sales (see: Soso Denim, Benzak Denim, Ciano), but unfortunately, many (most) of us were burned by Lawless to cause a little trepidation with Kickstarters. My advice - if one does turn up, do as much research into the company running the KS. It's little details like the clickable links and who is actually running the company. If it's clear and concise (and not tied to the FB page of the girlfriend of the Lawless founder, for example) and not making you guess where your money is going, then by all means take a flyer. I appreciate the words, and will go by the knowledge that you said. Thank you.

I tired on a few naked and famous this past weekend, but they just felt and looked so wrong. I'm going to look into other brands soon. Maybe check out APC. It's too bad to hear that the product lives up to the product shots. All good. I'm actually looking at brave star now.

What didn't you like about them? The way that it fit, I went a size down since I figured that the waist would stretch out a tad. It notice that it was to tight. Then went a size up. Fit prefect, but I knew that it would of stretched a whole lot. Then went with my regular size which is a 36. Fits great, but it looked like it didn't go with me at all. Maybe because I'm so use to my Levi's.

I know not to get anything that has stretch or shrink to fit in anywhere on the tags. I think its subject to how patient you wish to be during the break-in process. It's about finding a fit and weight that you like. Since most of Brave Star is Cone denim (most, but they do have some nice Japanese options), I'd suggest the 14 oz is probably a good starting point. Depending on where you live, it's got year-round wear potential. Their fit guide is relatively true to what you read on their site. I'm very patient, I looked at there site and the slim starlight it basically the same as the Levi's 511s that I wear. I did noticed that they only have 36 length. So I might have the get them hemmed to a 33 or 34.

What a day. I left my jeans to hang dry. Then to find out that my wife rewashed then began dried them. Luckily I was able to take them out of the dried fast. So they are still damped. It doesn't look bad at all. Here are 2 photos. Let me know what you guys think...

I Recently switched over from straight fit (501/504/Polo RL) to 511 slims. I made sure to get only selvedge and no stretch at all. So I got 4 pairs. 2 raw selvedge and 2 non raw selvedge. So far I've used 1 non raw and 1 raw.

I know a couple of you fellers have sleeve tattoos and was wondering if you could share your experiences. I'm talking about the cost, pain factor and how long it took. I'd also like to preface this thread by saying I used to hate on sleeve tattoos, mainly because I see them everyday and something I associated with hipsters, but I have since eased back on the sleeve hating and now think they're interesting. I do follow several tattoo artists on IG who do amazing work -- i'm talking ultra photo realistic designs that have blown me away. It goes without saying that this isn't something I plan on getting, simply because I don't have several thousand dollars laying around, so I'm just admiring them from a distance. I'm actually planning to get a full sleeve soon. I currently have a tribal on my wrist which I really regret. Luckily my wife doesn't mind it at all, but I hate it. Good thing I have my Apple Watch hiding it.
