You're on a denim bender!! I love it! I'll be interested to hear how the Bravestar and Left Field compare after you've gotten a little wear in on both of them. They're both brands I'd be interested in trying. Oh I'm not done yet. Rgt will be my next pickup. Now as for the wear. The Left field " Chelsea " are slimmer than the Brave Star since those are Slim Straight. I'm post up a few photos of the Left field after I reply to this.

Haha, so far I have a total of 8 pairs... I think I have a raw/selvedge problem 😅. Plus she won't notice it, at least I don't think. First step is to admit it, next sell off the pairs that you just can't wear at half the purchase price (including shipping) to enable the next guy. (What size are you?) Lol, 36. None of the denim are hemmed. Plus I'll wear them all. Lol

I wouldn't mind the slow fades. I'll post a photo once my wife and kids fall asleep. She'll kill me if she knew I brought more denim. Lol Didn't we warn you about this! It usually takes a year before the wife finds out about all the denim. You've only been here for just over a month Haha, so far I have a total of 8 pairs... I think I have a raw/selvedge problem 😅. So today I went to Left field. Great experience there. Met Chris spoke for about 20/30mins about the different types of denim he has in store. I was going to ask to try on a few pairs, but he took one look at me and said "your a 36 correct" I said yes. He said let's see how the slim tapper and slim straight atlas (I believe they were the atlas) fits. So I tried on the slim tapper. It's great, but the tapper fit isn't my look. So I tried on a 13oz cone denim blue selvedge ID slim straight and it looked and fit great. I told Chris that I would be back in either tomorrow (weds) or Friday right after work. As of now I have my CC ready in my wallet and planning to go back tomorrow to pick up those jeans (of course 2 pairs) What denims does he have in the pipeline? Stock seems like it's dwindling online. Also, why do you buy two pairs of identical denim each time? Just curious. He has plenty of stock in store. It seems that online is only limited, but I'll as him tomorrow when I go after work. Also the reason why I like to purchase 2 of the same pair is to break one in and keep the other in my closet until I'm ready to use it.

I've got an Aether shell that's i wear more than any other jacket. Windproof and totally waterproof. Skip leather soles too. Either Dainite or lugged soles will be your friend. Worth having a waterproof pair of gloves too and a scarf and wool hat aren't bad to have either. WOW! Aether jackets are expensive. I dont know how often I will use it after NY. My gf is doing a rotation for med school there and I have one more semester in Los Angeles. I have a North Face shell that I can pair with a microfiber sweater if the forecast says rain. Maybe that will keep me warm For shoes, I am still a sneaker guy so I will probably wear my Jordan Futures or Stefan Janowski max. I scarf and wool hat will be bought Those gloves look warm, probably pick those up. Thanks You'll be good with the north face with the micro fiber. Just wear a sweater under it. I have a Tres Parka from Patagonia which I use every winter. I also have 2 north face jackets that I use once in a while.

Now, what is there to do?? My gf has a car there so I will be mobile Hit up the museums. Natural history, Whitney, BAM, check out the new Williamsburg movie (Brooklyn). Also good to get a metro card. Parking is a big pain in NYC.

I've got a related question - I'm also planning a trip to NYC / Boston in about 2 weeks. Being from the South, I've not much experience with snow, but I plan to be wearing my Viberg's natural cxl, and waxed brown horween Quoddy's... Would y'all suggest I prep either of those pairs with some sort of oil or conditioner before trekking through snow and ice? It really hasn't snowed in NY. So you should be good unless we get a blizzard. But I've been checking the weather. I snow in the up coming forecast.

I'm traveling to Long Island in a couple weeks to spend time with my gf while I'm off for winter break. I'm from California and I have never been to New York during the winter. I don't really have winter wear as winter in Los Angeles means ~75 F average (though it's been raining the past couple days). I'm asking the people of the East, or someone who frequents New York during the holidays, what pieces of clothing will be essential for me to survive Dec/Jan weather? So far, I have Sage's 23 oz Ironberg denim that I plan on wearing the whole time. I may ask Manny to make me a 23 oz jacket Also, what are some things to do/eat while in New York? It will be my first time there. Thanks I live in Queens, NY so it gets pretty cold here, but as of late the weather hasn't been to bad. So I would say bring a nice thick (but not to thick) jacket a few sweaters and as for denim 16oz and up will be good. It does get cold here about 25 degrees during the night. Now as for food. It depends on what you like to eat. I can recommend a few great spots in the manhattan.

Hey, so I just found these guys (the brand on IG) mad that I missed the Black Friday sale though. Now moving on. What are your thoughts on the brand and does anyone know how the slims fit. Is it a tapered fit or a slim straight? Stanton's are a slim straight. SK's are a slim tapered. Slim tapered means smaller opening in the cuff correct?

how is Bravestar's return policy? Do you have to pay return shipping? 30 days, you have to pay for return shipping.

they are a good brand for jeans IMO although I haven't been very impressed with their tops. The Stantons are a great fit and their 14.5oz denim is very nice. You can't got wrong with them if the fit is right IMO. Thanks, I am planning on getting 2 pairs soon.

They actually fit great on the ass. They are slim but straight in the thighs. I'll have to soak them in a month so they can be a tad more fitted though. Great news. To me, that is the money and time sink to this 'hobby'. Sorting out the fits. Yee haww! Indeed, at first I was thinking about getting the tapered slim, but I wasn't sure if my leg would of fit. So I went with the slim straight knowing that once I soak / wash they will eventually shrink a bit to be more fitted.
