Seems to be a new brand out of LA with some pretty nice looking jeans. Their sale prices look pretty competitive, and the details are nice on the jeans. Not sure if the value is there on the regular prices. But I have been on the hunt for some nice, light-weight denim and their slim tapered 12.5 look good to me at $100. What do you all think? www.timeandsilence.com/index.php/selvage-denim/

Nice find. For $100 these are definitely worth it IMO. At $250 I'm not so sure, only because there are so many other denim companies out there with similar jeans below $250. Their shirts on the other hand are a whole other thing. I think as an unknown brand they have a lot of balls to ask $250 for a shirt, even if it is made with Japanese fabric. The question they should be asking themselves is why would anyone spend $250 on one of their shirts versus a company like 3sixteen, Rogue Territory or Iron Heart?

I like their flannel shirts

Agreed to both of you. The flannels are nice. As with the jeans, I like that they have a narrow leg opening and a 34" inseam. Good for someone that wants a smaller, less-dramatic cuff (or maybe even cuffless) like me.
I placed an order for their slim Indigo 12.5 oz. and their selvedge black chambray, both on sale and representing a good deal IMHO.
I will report back on what I receive and my opinions, with photos, when they come in.

They need more details. Sell it! Dont just list it. I thought the details were fine. They shouldn't oversell it IMO. $250 retail is overselling it, especially when there's nothing new or interesting about their denim. The fabrics seem cool, the weights, being US made, the fits, etc, just don't try and pitch your jeans like a J Crew ad and then charge $250 when I can buy a similar pair from another brand for $100 less

Waight, a few more pics, etc

FWIW, they were quick to respond to my email inquiry and very quick to ship. Like, instantly. So that's a good sign.

I like that the rise stays consistent on the different cuts. Tempting at $100.

What I find interesting are the parallels between this company and Rail Car Fine Goods. Both of the owners used to be mechanics in their past lives and moved onto designing and producing denim. weird, wild stuff

So, I got my slim Indigo 12.5 oz. and their selvedge black chambray in already (talk about FAST for free shipping), and it is pretty much a perfect shirt. Fabric feel, construction, look, and fit are all DEAD ON.
And my jeans, which I ordered yesterday, are already halfway across the country. And great customer service the whole way. Cannot recommend this company enough.

The pockets on the chambray shirts are a bit strange.

The pockets on the chambray shirts are a bit strange. I thought the same thing about the pockets. A little bit of "engineered garments" type of thing. I thought the sale price of $100 isn't too far out of line, but since the XL is a 44" chest, I'm out. So many new American companies entering the garment field just don't make stuff large enough for a lot of Americans. I was looking to buy a Buzz Rickson Naval Chambray in XXL, which would work for me, but are sold out until late Sept, and can't find any through any Japanese vendors.

i'm not a fan of the shirt pocket look either. either way, if you like it then that's all that matters.
post fit pics of the jeans when you get them. for $100 they appear to be decent quality

Hey guys. I'll post my photos later, but I just got my jeans and the quality is AMAZING. Amazing amazing. Beautiful indigo color. Beautiful patch. Good fit even before soaking these (they're unsanfordized). They are longer than the advertised 34", so I MAY have to get them hemmed.

Now for the denim porn. I'd buy another pair at the $200 price point, I'm so impressed by these: yay denim porn! A couple things, though. The change pocket looks very difficult to use, unless the stitching around the rivets is just decorative (or attaching a liner or something) it seems like the opening is seriously small-ified. Second, dry clean only?! Everything else looks great, good find!

Anyone here dry clean, or know someone who does this for denim? Plus, I would think if you never soaked them, you would get blow-outs, or holes in short order. They do look good with the Orange amp in the backround!

Also, the hardware seems like it's really thick/substantial on the edges, is this some photo trickery or is it actually as nice/unique as it looks in those pics?
