Mmmmh, anothe week and 3 mails sent .... noe response since weeks. waiting for a 12oz Selvedge Chino with customised 40" inseame. overdRAWn Ok, please know that I am saying this in a very friendly tone, because that can be lost over the internet: You really are gonna need to be patient with this one. He has his production time clearly marked on the top of his page. It's super clear from the get go that this is not fast fashion, and that it really is a tailored-for-you service that he's providing. You probably knew that going in. If you needed pants fast, it might have been advisable that you should have gone elsewhere. People here have already informed you that with Ciano, you WILL get you paid for...and then some. But you WILL have to wait for it. It's just the nature of the beast with a two-man operation that are handmaking items JUST for you. That is an exciting thought, and one worth waiting for. He likely doesn't have time to get back to all communications because of all of the makin' of clothes going on. Ciano WILL NOT disappear on you, though. He has been in the clothes-making business a long time. You will get your items and you will love them. If not right away, eventually after requested tweaks are made. Everything is copacetic. Trust us. I think Ciano is doing a great job and I'm willing to wait for his jeans. However, I don't think he has a sustainable business model if he plans to expand.

Not sustainable if he's expanding with the same outfit. Going to need to bring in and train a bunch of people, which was one of many things that Roman Acevedo, failed LD&co business man (for the Google hits), failed to do. If anything, it might not be a bad idea to start training a handful of people right now, if he hasn't already started or done so, in case of emergencies like the flooding and work on backlog.

david2403, I don't know. Given his increasing delivery times, I'm guessing Ciano's already thinking about either expanding slightly or reducing demand. There's a limit to how long most people will wait for gear, so if timescales keep increasing, demand will probably tail off, restoring some sort of balance. I guess the days of 6-8 weeks delivery are gone for good, though. He's presumably priced it correct from the start, no crazy 50% offers, which suggests he's making sufficient profit to make the business worthwhile and sustainable. He's also learned a lot from the mistakes we've all seen made here, and as Ciano's said more than once - "baby steps", which is entirely sensible. I'm hoping he'll take on someone to help meet demand and bring down wait times, but he'll need to get the right skills, which may take time, or invest in training, which will take even longer. Either way, I wish Ciano and Mike every success and am watching with interest how his business develops.

Ciano does solid work I have two jackets and the 30 oz bull denim. It is definitely worth the wait. The 23oz denim will blow Gustin's out of the water this man knows what he is doing! His quality of work is worth more then what he is charging and I'm sure with all the back up from the flooding and new orders coming in daily he doesn't have time to train new staff. Just be patient and you will have your mind blown when you get your order!

I've been talking to him via email. He's doing fine. Working a custom pattern for my girlfriend.

OK guys ... needed that enthusiasm. I am confident to get what I ordered in outstanding quality ... it was just his last mail where he states " .... I get back to you with the information needed tomorrow".
Anyway, I am in my 8th week, so everything is still in time as I knew before.

Here's some pics of my chinos. The Moss [Military Olive] have the copper rivets and the Indigo Selvedge have the bar tacks. Anybody have any Chino fit pics that show how the front pockets look. For some reason they look extra slanty and or long compared to Gustins, which I like the design of, from the pics I am seeing. It could be just the way they show up laying flat in the pictures.

I'll try and get some pictures tomorrow but that was my initial fear/complaint. They've grown on me but they are extra long or longer than G.

The pockets are a bit odd. I like them more than Gustin but less than iron heart.
