Actually I was very polite in my email. I simply asked if this was Ready to Wear or Needed to be funded. That my last encounter with Funding shirts ended badly.

Had a REX Sighting! Seems he posted on the LD KS page. Seems he's back with Lord Gustin.

Maybe we all need to use our voices and bombard the local Phoenix media to make this story more public.

Actually I was very polite in my email. I simply asked if this was Ready to Wear or Needed to be funded. That my last encounter with Funding shirts ended badly. They're claiming that everything will be shipping 11/16, which is five days before the kickstarter campaign ends, and about 20 days before they get the funding from the kickstarter campaign if it goes well. I don't understand why they're undermining their kickstarter campaign by having pre-orders on their site, except that an order on the site likely takes the money now, which I see as being a more immediate draw. If they were taking the kickstarter seriously, I imagine they'd be funneling orders through that. This way it's impossible to see how many orders they're taking, and I don't even want to think about whether or not they're actually tracking all of it, because I have a feeling I know the answer. I suppose it's also possible that the kickstarter would just be meant to fund the proprietary Kevlar Denim blend, though I'm afraid that's likely being woven on the mills we all know so much about, which makes the November/December ship dates all the more insane. Ugh I can't think about this nonsense anymore. I hope, for the sake of everyone involved, that at least the kickstarter campaign fails, since it looks exactly like the one that Lawless failed to execute.

I really don't think they believe the KS will succeed. I think they are simply using KS as an advertisement. Drumming up lookers to the web site (kind of what we're doing )

I'm sure they and others got all into the "Made in America""Made in Arizona" frenzy. But that's the idea. Phoenix, along with most other cities have those "got your back" news reporters who call out the crooked business owners. From what I'm seeing locally, this is a big deal here in AZ. The claims of "Putting Americans to Work" and "bringing this industry to Arizona" make it all the more of a hot button issue when you add to those statements the fact that the owner of the company defrauded consumers and failed to deliver on transactions. A friend of mine who's a novice to denim but worked in the TV industry stated very matter of fact "this is an easy story, everything's there - using kickstarter to defraud consumers, everything associated with the treatment of the former employees, people not getting paid for services, etc." - the things that we think would be a black eye are what news channels want. But maybe the best thing we can all do is state clearly that Freeriders/Reservoir/LD is buyer beware.

Could we just start inundating Freeriders with follow up questions on our incomplete LD orders?

As much as I'd like to form a Lynch Mob and go get my shirts, I'm not sure that's what we/SS want to become. I feel it's good to Whack a Mole when they show up. But at some point Stevekas is right, we should move on. I'm content just being the snarky/sarcastic Jiminy Cricket with them in an email.

Also, I'd hate to start losing Great Guys here if we/I can't move on.

It doesn't need to be a lynch mob or pitchforks and torches. This group, whether we like it or not, were the targeted demo for LD and we all lost out on time, money and goods for it. If anything, the least we can do is try to inform and educate within the scope we reach. If this wasn't this particular company, but another on the thread that has the interest of some, and the same questionable business ethics occurred, we'd speak out it there, right? I think we may be hypersensitive given the source, but if we can stick to informing consumers and keeping relatively hands-off, I see no harm in that.

If anyone is going to the DGR ride today here in Phoenix, R is supposed to be there. Maybe someone can ask him what's really going on. Not like he can lock himself behind closed doors in public ?

If it makes you feel any better, I'd say the odds that they actually have that fabric in-hand are nil, and that if you ordered it from them the chances of actually receiving it are also nil

Another interesting development.
After receiving a charge back for three items I just got recharged by Lawless for one of them. Now I need to call the credit card company. It appears that they waited until the 15 day limit on when the Arizona AG complaint ran out. Now I need to refile with them as well. So much for their hollow claim that all we had to do was get a charge back. They failed to mention that they would just charge me again. It was for a short so I know that it is not coming.

LOL...I just was on the freeriders website. When you click the charity tab...They are donating 100% of the profits from their stolen vest design to charity...the charity happens to be the DGR ride....Is it just coincidence that R will be there? I wish Ickes or Matt could go and confront him....but that could end up a bad situation. Anyways, let's keep on his ass!

I'm not savvy to how the credit card thing works...but I can't see how they can re charge you....Wouldn't that somehow be illegal?

They have up to 45 days to contest the charge back. I have a letter from Alicia Cantu via the Arizona AG staing " Any order over 120 days, the consumer would have to do a simple credit card dispute through their bank for a refund." What they didn't say would that they would just charge me again.
The dispute is meant to be if I got a product from them in the meantime. It is a shirt and I expect that it is not on its way. They have all of my contact information and if it was coming it would make sense that I would be notified. In my mind it just went from incompetence to fraud. Provable fraud since they have no product to send me but still charged me for it.

I will call on Monday to get the claims department again and I already filed another report with the Arizona Attorney General.
