I believe that is the Skewed flannel. A very popular Gustin option.

Not sure if this is the appropriate thread for this (total noob I know lol), but I got a surprise delivery of my nut brown horween duffel today, no shipping email, so it was a pleasant surprise. It has some nice color variation and seems very well constructed, no odd stitching or sloppy points. It didn't have the lovely horween smell that my belts from them have had so far, but I will probably put a small amount of Obenauf's on it, which I love the smell of that anyways.
I think it's a nice size duffel that you could fit a decent amount of clothing in, I mostly grabbed it because it was much more affordably priced than the weekender, and I think I am happy with my decision. I'll try posting pictures.

Those above are my okayama standards, about a year and a half, 5m or 6 washes. Nice! Mine look similar including the crotch area blowout. I had cianofarmer darn one side. Wore them a few weeks and then the other side blew out! No fault of ciano's... just me wearing my raw denim raw I guess! 😀

In regards to my recent post of the Horween duffel It definitely has a nice leather aroma. At first it didn't seem so strong, but now often permeates my entire room. I enjoy it. I have also used it a few times now and it definitely seems as if it could take a beating.

When did Lord Gustin get rid of the ended drops section? It is a good thing that my opinion on how they should do things doesn't matter. Furthermore, my last gustin purchases were the color core and loomstates sometime last year. The color core are very strange. They feel very light and weak for 14 ounce (not that my denim ounce-o-meter hands have been calibrated or anything). The selvedge line didn't match the original description so I asked lord Gustin if they used the wrong denim. THey assured me it was correct, so I got them hemmed and "aged" the cuttings. The sections I rubbed together show little to no signs of a color core, but the frayed edges revealed a blue/purple/reddish hue. I am curious to see how these age, but they do not have a solid jeanie feel and are not getting a lot of rotation. The word I am looking for, is they feel "cheap" if that makes sense. Not like a solid 14oz denim I spent over $100 on. In regards to the color core, I actually would prefer this limited range of colors over a whole rainbow. They also bleeeeeeed an unbelievable amount. The cut off parts I got form hemming bled about as much as a whole pair of jeans during initial soak. I rinsed them forever and they still bleed with wear on humid days. I also picked up the loomstates sometime last fall and I really like those. Depending on how much I am running and how much I am eating, I usually wear a 35 or 36 straight in Gustin. I went with a 38 straight for the loomstates and when they arrived, they were smaller than my unworn/unsoaked postal blues in 36 straight. I figured I would see how this played out, I put the bastards on and jumped in the shower. The waist stretched out really nicely and are a good feel for me. The only down side is, all other areas that do not get pressure/movement did not stretch. It seems the brahs here like tapers and whatnot, but I do not since I am not shaped properly for skinny type jeans. Smaller leg openings also limit my shoes options, so I wear my chucks with these or other smaller type shoes. Also, the subtropical summer is not the best with closer-fitting jeans limiting air flow to areas. The look and texture of this denim is amazing, but the crotch holes started way faster than any other pair of jeans ever. and speaking of jeans, here are my first selvedge denims. The #49 American Orange ID. I have to repair a new crotch holes often these days but I really like putting these on any time I haven't worn them for a while. they just feel right to me. Solid and worn. Also, you can see that I switched to a nylon belt. It is too humid here so I untuck shirts and wear this belt to adjust for humidity. Eh, not stylin' but whatever. on a different topic, I hiked up Fuji last week and then went to the hedgehog cafe. The only downside is, the hike down the mountain rubbed my big toenails wrong. You ever get a huge blister under your toenails? it is horrific. not a blood blister, but a big clear fluid one. Sad face. hedgehog cafe. happy face.

Agree, been wearing 20 and 22oz pre soak denim recently, even into the high 70's and it's great. Makes my 14oz feel flimsy and weird, getting back into my 11oz summer denim will really feel weird.

Cool. Looking good. Love the look of battered bxb jeans. Just can't make my Italians cooperate.
