Hehe nice wife I stopped making my GF take the pics after she told all her friends on a coffe-meet that "she had to take pics of me so I could show all my boy-friends on the internet all my nice clothes" and yeah it sounded kinda gay but i stand by that its in the way that she said it - not the thing itself which is offcoarse really cool and just trying to contribute to the brahs which I said and it was like talking to the wall and I also tried the kicker: "-but but...wabisabi and stuff.." but somehow it isn't as powerful on the females and isn't a word used in Paris Milano or London ATM so I basically don't involve her unless I have to.

I'm going to put a dozen wears in the 21's before I hot soak/wash them. Then I'll put another dozen wears in them then send them off to be hemmed. I could use a 1/2" of shrink in the waist. You'll get that much if you do it. And honestly, I like the denim much more now. So much, that if they come back and I have money, I'll get a pair and put them away. I just wish that the Jutes were as long as these are. My Beast sadness is now gone. DigDug So Old26 have the J21s taken over the Jutes as your favorites?

Let's say they are my fave light and heavy pairs. With the 18's there but now a tad tight.

My J21s popped a pocket rivet. Bummer. Could not beat it back on, so I'll need a replacement rivet from G (already emailed).

The top button was spinning, so I thought "no big deal" but now it looks as if the fabric is tearing a bit. Any advice? Are these jeans toast?

When I had this happened, I shot Gustin an email and they mailed me a couple replacement buttons along with a link to a guide about how to replace them.

Gustin said they'd send me a new button, but just leave it until it falls off ("removing it will just cause more harm"). So I think I'll do that: just keep the button and hope for the best. They told me to hit up a tailor instead of giving me instructions to fix it myself, which I'm also cool with...

So I continue to see if I can fade out my Italian Midnight Shadows. Not a lot of wear these days due to the cold, but they do get tossed in the machine. I just started wearing these... After all those washes is the inside still fluffy soft or has it evened out to a more average denim feel?

They're really comfortable to wear now, but I've been working on my Sixteeners since I found those things are just absolutely shedding indigo.

I threw on my sixteeners today since it's another snowstorm and I haven't been wearing them much lately. I always forget how much I love these jeans.

They are very hard faders. It's funny that that is a source of frustration as it's actually a sign of quality. My Japan 21s have as much fading in 3 weeks as the Zimbabwe 15s got in 3 months.

I agree with Griffin. Those do look pretty rad, kylepa. Were they pretty starchy to start?

kylepa they look great, and agree they are extremely slow faders. Mine are starting to show some character now after quite some time. shoneyb my zimbs weren't what I'd call starchy at all.

The Zimbs are painfully slow faders. I gave up on mine...partially because I have too many other damn pairs to wear though.

I agree with Griffin. Those do look pretty rad, kylepa. Were they pretty starchy to start? Thanks everybody! They are not at all starchy. They have a very tight weave and are, in fact, buttery soft from the get go. It took a lot of willpower to wait to wear my RTxBOW expeditions. I've recently thrown them in the rotation since I'm satisfied with the wear on the Zimbabwes. It's killing me not to wash them but with a new baby on the way I'm sure something terrible will happen that will necessitate throwing them in the wash.

Although I've learned to live with a little puke on my jeans.
