No need to be sorry, the mods/admin are smiling upon you with this as the creating of new threads and moving of posts is just all part of an elevation of status from merely being an other brand to being a primary brand of discussion on GFSF. Congratulations cianofarmer, you deserve it. Let it be known that I tried to start a thread about a start-up on SUFU and it got deleted and I got a message from a mod basically asking for money to discuss the brand. I firmly believe that this forum is one of the best places on the entire internet as it allows the little guy a chance to speak and show his wares. Kudos guys and much respect. thank you..

I understand..sorry for that...I will start a new thread of anything new from now on..Again I am new to forums and did not realize to start a new thread for different subjects.. Please let me know how to start a new thread for DUCK CANVAS..I have been getting emails and alot of people are requesting me to post the new up dates on the pants. Again sorry..Cheers Ciano, if you go to the main board for CF (that'd be this page --> right here) and look over at the right-hand side of the page, you should see a Create Thread button. Click that and it will bring up essentially the same screen you see when you make a normal post on here. Enter a title for your new thread in the Subject: box at the top--"Duck Canvas Pants", for example--and then take it from there, just as you would any other post. ok..understand...thanks

Wils do you need me to take measurements of the armhole? or the pictures OKAY? Not sure how I missed your question. I think picture will be good. I think people here prefer jacket with a slimmer profile. here are the pictures of the slim fit field jacket with the armhole.

I think it doesn't look very slim in the body or arms and I wouldn't describe those as high arm holes. And this isn't mean as an insult in any way, but the guy modeling the jacket doesn't look like a slim fit kind of guy. What's the size of the jacket and the height/weight of the guy wearing it?

here are the pictures of the slim fit field jacket with the armhole. What do you guys think? I only wear slim fit Jacket but not sure about this type of style. I think it looks pretty damn great. I would not want to go any slimmer than that on a "trucker" style jacket. That style is supposed to be short, so you'd have to start making the chest and waist far too tight if you are after a slimmer silhouette visually. The classic trucker should be a little boxy at first, especially if you're dealing with a nice rugged fabric like a beefy denim or canvas that's fairly rigid when it's still raw. It will start to drape more as it wears in. IMO the length on the ones Ciano has modeled is exactly where it should be; right around the belt, maybe plus an inch or so. Make that thing much more fitted, and it's going to look silly and defeat the purpose of the jacket because you won't be able to move. If you want a slim-looking jacket, I'd say a trucker probably just isn't for you.

I also think that on a smaller guy it will look even slimmer. Everything gets bigger when you go up size.
I thought the ih634s looked pretty standard but when i got mine in 34 the hems were so huge they looked comical. I had to taper them to even wear. And yet the same pant in 30 looked normal on pic.
I would not rule this jacket out before seing an M on a medium person.

That jacket looks great to me. I like it in the canvas better than the denim actually (Didn't think I would)

I am surprised on not more people going for the pink ID. It looks exactly like the one on Gustin site today. $70 in Italian 9oz fabric with all those nice Ciano details is a steal. Perfect for summer.

Based on my last conversation with Ciano, the 20oz were deadstock. From what I read, this is very similar to the LD's 18oz and Gustin's HW.... not know for sure since I have no experience with any of them.

From your picture they look close to my Gustin Super Heavy's. Were they soft from the start? The Gustins didn't require any breakin.

18's are the bomb guys. I have been only wearing my Gustin and LD 18's. I haven't touched my Beasts in a while, so I'm hoping to see more in this range.

Old 26 - did you get any stretch in the waist on your 18's?

Yes. Probably an inch. I'm not a big jeans measuring guy unless there is an issue. But I got some for sure, and they are both awesome.
