I backed a pair of the 20oz from the Ciano Farmer kickstarter campaign. Did anyone back any jeans? I am always a sucker to try something new, especially with those coin details. Did ask him on not adding those selvedge lines to the back pocket.

I wanted to, but these guys were straight-up copying the Gustin pricing model. I liked the idea, but when Lawless is offering the same fabrics and cornering the market they way the are attempting to, I feel like it's an offering that's late to the party (in terms of those of us exposed to G and LD). I hope they are successful and make great denim - having options is great! The more the better.

I agree with you, Matt. His Herringbone did catch my eyes and may back those if my 20oz looks good.

nothing wrong with the gustin pricing model, especially if it comes in cheaper. i did back a couple of items from them, the real benefit is that they do custom inseams and can tweak fits to your specifications to some extent it would seem. for instance i saw someone ask for a different rise on there jeans and the reply was that it wasn't an issue. also there is the fact you can customize the thread, buttons etc. anyway it will be interesting to see what they come up with.

Lawless does all of that as well.

For sure, but they are another player in the game. I'm sure they will have their differences, eg denims, styles etc. It is all good, great thing that all these businesses are catering to our wants.

Ciano Farmer Order Form - They've got some great fabric offerings, the red/khaki herringbone, the olive drab, the old school Italian - I like this company's offerings. With the extra cut fees of $27, it's taking the price up a bit, but these fabrics look more unique than some I've seen in the market.

Just received my Ciano Farmer 20oz Kickstarter special. I just got the package, so I have not put it on yet. All the special details are super NICE and they really make the jeans! The package includes a small patch of fabric in the thank you card from Ciano and I think it is a very nice touch. Workmanship is not perfect but that is exactly what I want for a handmade jeans. Anyway, it is so much nicer than any of my Gustin jeans.

Pretty damn fast. How long did it take from the end of KS till now 40 days. He started on my jeans (and other 20oz pairs) before the KS ended. here is the KS: Btw, the leg of the jeans has a selvedge runoff that is similar to workshirt. First jeans has it and I kinda like it.

Looks like they've got the Okayama Standard as one of their denims. Interesting.
There's also a shot of what looks like a sewn-up pair of the Postal Herringbone fabric in the order form: the pic of the vintage penny fly closure option. They look outstanding.

I didn't back any of their jeans.. not to say I wouldn't. But the one thing I thought was pretty cool, was how they offered a local (Texas) start-up denim mill a chance to get their denim out on the market. I may buy a pair of those, just to support the mill.

I think it's just a liner, though. Sorry if I missed the question or if you're seeing something else.

Def something different than normal jeans. Hang them bitches up right along side my dress shirts and slacks
