seems very nice... but i have a question : usually i wear 34 straight denim, i ordered gustin size 34 (slim or straight) and they fit well... But here, i should choose a label 34 (raw 37 and after wash 36), that's it ? not clear to me...

Thank you wils, you're very kind. So, i don't really understand why they don't use the standard way to choose his size...

Do the various options such as taped seams, the different fly closures, tailor finish, etc change the final price on the jeans? Or is it purely the $95-120 listed for the denims that determines the cost?

Or is it purely the $95-120 listed for the denims that determines the cost? I get a email 10 minutes after mine of ciano farmer and he told me the price is with customization include. here is his mail if i'm not enough clear : all customization for your jeans is included in the price...for future reference..
We do not charge extra ..the price is stated in the fabric section.
We even do custom inseams at no extra cost.
Let us know if you need any help with any future orders, and we will be glad to help...

what means custom inseam? the length of the pants? Yes. Unlike Gustin, you can tell Ciano the length of your jeans. FYI that Lawless does the same too as Ciano.

I don't want to make gustin bashing but the only thing i don't like and i don't understand on gustin pant is that you can't choose the iseam... I'm quite tall but i need 2 big hems while the red thread is nice... that's a pity !!!

I'm quite tall but i need 2 big hems while the red thread is nice... that's a pity !!! The reason is the factory charges Gustin less if all the inseams are the same length. Gustin pretty much shifts the cost to me and I end up with the hassle and money to have my jeans hem.

Im kinda digging these. I like the penny buttons & the inside being finished like a pair of pants. Its not something I would want all my jeans to look like but def cool to have a pair

Awesome. Thank you, @wils and thomasss for the info. Definitely going to snag a pair of those postals with the penny fly closure.

Is the 20oz safronized? Ciano says it is not and I sized my pair based on that, however a similar 18oz Super Heavy Gustin that comes from the same mill is safronized...

Based on the feel, my 20oz should be Sanforized. It is very soft and not crisp at all.

He doesn't expect major shrinkage as the Loomstate. You may want to reach out to him to make sure your size is good.

i think that they're all sanforized denims. the 1" shrinkage seems to be the normal to expect with a wash. they didn't do anyone any favors by overly complicating their size chart.

Yeah, I just emailed them to ask a few questions about the fit and what to expect from shrinkage. I'm stuck between the 34 looking too big to wear right out of the bag, and the 33 possibly being too small after the first soak and/or wash (and looking awfully snug in the rise and thigh* for a "regular" fit). * Spec measurements per Gustin fit guide and Ciano Farmer Kickstarter: Brand | Fit | Waist | Rise | Thigh | Knee | Cuff | Ciano Farmer | 33 Regular | 36 raw, 35 wash | 10 | 23.6 | 17.8 | 16.2 | Gustin | 35 Slim | 35.5 | 10.3 | 23.9 | 16.5 | 15.5 | Ciano Farmer | 34 Regular | 37 raw, 36 wash | 10.1 | 24.1 | 18.1 | 16.5 |
I like the look of the knee to cuff taper on the CF jeans a lot, but everything from there on up has me a little concerned. If that 33 shrinks up much, I might not even be able to get into them - and if I did you'd be able to count the pubes on my nutsack. And that's the Regular fit, not the Slim!

Are you soaking when they come in or waiting? If you wait and get your stretch on, I'd imagine you're fine. I was thinking the same as you but went with the smaller of my choices.

I have long torso and short legs, so if the fit looks bad, nothing to do with the jeans.
