FourHorsemen brentkuz Where exactly was the issue with the Camel Herringbone Chinos? I'm planning on taking it to the tailor to get them hemmed, and I wanted to see if it was an issue before I made them unreturnable. Also, what did Gustin say when you notified them about it? Thanks!

I noticed discoloration slight but noticeable. Almost like water marks. @fourhorseman were worse than mine. Looked like water marks. They have me a $20 credit after pulling teeth. Matt Kong was my CS rep this time. Didn't really do anything for me. Told me he spoke with production and that's just the way the fabric is. Gave me a boiler plate CS email. After I basically told them I've bought an epic crap load and this was one of the few items I was unhappy with he gave me $20 not because be was wrong but as a show of good faith.

Here's what the whole back top block looks like. As bad as it is, I still love them. I never wear shirts tucked in, so it gets covered. There aren't any marks anywhere else than what you see here. But yeah, sucks. They did let me keep them for free. I'd rather NOT have these "marks" and pay, but I'm not complaining! Such an amazing fabric, and I guess I just got "unlucky". QC still not running on all cylinders at G.

Oh that's awesome that they hooked you up. I'm going to have to look over mine and make sure before I drop them off to get hemmed. What color shirts do you usually rock with these?

What color shirts do you usually rock with these? Blue or gray. And brown boots. 1st 2 pics for warmer weather, last pic (with Iron Heart 33) for cooler weather .....and I'd wear a white T under the IH33. Sorry for the crappy pics and dirty boot. With blue Mister Freedom Chambray: With Gustin Charcoal Oxford: With IHSH-33 and Trickers Burford country hunting boots.

Some advice. I wear a 34/34 BR Aiden chinos which measure dead on 36. How would this translate to a Gustin chino?

Slate Military Twill shipped out yesterday, one day earlier than the "May" designation! I'll post how they turned out when I get them on Monday.

devastitis How'd everything work out? Any pics of yours? I ended up shipping them back. They had streaks all over, but they weren't as obvious as yours. But they were still noticeable. Also, the legs were really tight on them, with no give (33 slim in denim, did 34 slim in the chinos). I should have measured them before shipping them back. I don't know what they will do with them once they receive them. I wouldn't want to pick them up from the Stock page.

Seems they have had some issues with their chinos.
Heck my heavy caramels came with a 33.5" inseam. Very short.

It works for my height and saves me from needing to hem them, but it's still way off their chart. [edit] Ooops, forgot. I have a pair of the graphite and khaki chinos, and both of those came in with the usual 36" inseam (and I still need to hem them). So it's not across the board.

Just got the heavy caramels and the navy for my first two pairs of chinos. I'm pretty damn impressed by the build quality. Sizing is spot on (33). This just opens up more doors for my wallet to be thrown through...

Has the first run of the selvedge chinos shipped out yet? I'm just wondering if anyone here has a pair who can comment on them.

I love G chinos but I was trying to figure out if these are worth the upcharge. Maybe not then.

I am a little worried about the buttons holding up on the fly. ickes knows I'm hard on crotches. No spare buttons from G I wonder if they will send some if requested The buttons don't seem to hold up well. I have two I need to sew back on before they fall off and they put a ton of force at specific points. I sized up my last two pair because my navies are showing some serious strain after a dozen wears.

Just received my first gustin chino, the #5 Navy American. They need a hem. Is there any consensus on washing first to account for shrinkage ? Or just hem them a bit long ...
thanks

Or just hem them a bit long ... thanks They will shrink on you, but I'm afraid I stopped measuring things cause I'm happier that way, so I can't tell you exactly how much. You might be best off washing them first. Or do whatever the hell you want and own it, whatever happens.
