Yeah, that's why I was confused. When I think Self Edge model, I think "nice bartender."

I also can't help but hear System of a Down whenever I look at the Self Edge site.

I always look at those IH pics and think I've never in my life seen such an unhappy looking dude. I could never tell if those pics were a joke or serious... This guy? From Rodeo Brothers? Pierre is not amused. That thousand yard stare is his bread and butter look

Thanks for sharing the good news. Hadn't been raised since 1930--what was $200 worth back then? probably closer to 5K in today's $$$, lol

Unless there is some provision for them ? Many of us have already been purchasing items without the customs hit, already. Often, it has been due to stores fudging numbers, or customs indifference. None of that comes into play, anymore. We'll be able to purchase multiple items without fear. Although, I think customs will be quite stringent with the cap from now on. Edit: I wonder, would IHUK be better served by moving operations to Japan, and retailing worldwide from there ? giles , this is a subject I'll admit to being quite ignorant to. How negatively will this affect you, and US retailers like SE ?

That's good news. Direct sales to the US have an $800 exemption (per person per day) for import duties. Way to go US Congress!

By comparison, the UK's threshold is about $25 including shipping and insurance, I kid you not. Unlimited for the EU, but $25 from the US, Japan etc. And our tax and duty rates are higher as well.

Skip the UK taxation problem. I buy from Yoox and have never payed more than $10 for shipping and never payed duties. Even if it ships from Italy.

Just as a reminder, UK VAT is 100% refundable for sales outside of the U.K to the seller. I buy all sorts of things from there and every single vendor refunds VAT.

20%. Not nice. Take 16.67% off total price for refundable value.
