Well my Buzz Rickson gear has been sitting in customs in LA since 12/20 and my sugar cane flannel has been sitting in customs in LA since 12/21. WTF. I've never had them sit in customs this long, hope I'm not getting dinged.

My Pike Bros jacket sat in the black hole for freaking 6 weeks, before showing up on tracking. Totally absurd.

It just typically doesn't take this long so I was getting a little concerned.

It is Christmas time, this is the busiest season for shipping companies. Couriers have reported they are processing a record number of packages this year, so I would not be surprised it is taking them a bit longer to deliver these days. Shipping times should fall back to normal come January.

Delivery times should fall back to normal come January.. yep. My package from Okayama Denim was processed on 12/18 and didn't officially leave Tokyo until 12/21, at least I hope it did. I can track my package via USPS and there's still no activity since the 21st. it's still showing up as "Origin Post is Preparing Shipment." yep, ordering from overseas is nerve racking but I do understand that the shippers are dealing with high volume this year. still sucks playing the waiting game

I'm not sure if this is common knowledge or not but this is something I was not aware of until the other day when my mailman brought it to my attention. There is a form that you can get from your postman or post office that will give them permission to leave packages in your mailbox that would normally require a signature. It's very simple, you just put your address on the form and print and sign and then leave it in your mailbox for your postman. Once he gets it and files it at the post office you no longer have to be there to sign for any packages that come EMS from Japan. They can just leave them in your box when they arrive like most other packages.
anyways, just thought I'd share this with you guys. I filled my form out the other day.

You can do the same for ups and FedEx as well.

I just wanted to chme in with my recent Rakuten experience. I just received a Buzz Rickson long sleeve chambray shirt in XXL from Rodeo Bros. global.rakuten.com/en/store/auc-rodeo/item/br25995I gotta say that it was as quick and easy as ordering domestically. Paypal took care of the currency exchange and Rodeo Bros were very timely in their emails. The communication from them was machine translated, but no real problem to understand. I ordered the shirt on 12/21 and recieved the shirt today. Considering the two major holidays in the last week I consider that shipping time outstanding! I wish I had more to say about it, but it was just really painless and easy. I wouldn't hesitate to order again and with the favorable exchange rates right now is a good time to be a buyer.

How was the fit? I like that shirt just couldn't figure out what size.

The XXL fits me perfectly. I usually wear an XL or 44 and my dress shirt collar size is usually 17.5. The tag on the shirt says it is an 18-18 1/2 collar but it fits me just right.
This is my first Buzz piece and I was worried about fit too, but the XXL is right on the money for me. I'll see if I can get Mrs Phydeaux to take a fit pic later.

For around $75 it's a great looking shirt.

I have always used JP Post EMS to ship from japan.
Has anyone used post small packet?
Sounds like usps first class vs priority. Anyone know price differences?
