So I suppose I ought to review my jeans from Lawless. The fit is fantastic, the construction had no problems. Right out of the package, they were probably the best fitting pair of selvage I've ever owned, so whomever cut and sewed them, you done did a good job. But I doubt they are the 13oz Candiani that I ordered, since they feel a heck of a lot lighter than that, maybe 10-11oz. It's such a shame that Lawless imploded. If they had been run responsibly, I'd buy more of them. The mystery denim! Anyone know what it is? It looked a lot gray-er when I first got it (before I washed it), if that helps. That's the same fabric that mine are. Wore 'em today, actually. Some old lady told me I looked cute. Haha.

Yes matt they are Candiani. Thats the denim I sold to every "new to raw selvedge" buying customer. Woman & men in their 50's to 80's loved it especially since it looked and felt like something Gucci would use if they made selvedge jeans. I personally felt like it was the richest looking denim around. The Japanese brands are def great when it comes to what a denim head likes but Candiani is just flat out classier in my eyes. As for its weight, i would say its likely 12 or 13 oz but because its the Italians doing it they lack the rigid rough feel of the American and Japanese fabrics

Good to know. It sure looks like that is what they made my vest from.

Interesting. Thanks!

Well I did not see one in general chat, but I got the RTW jeans from LD with missing just 1 botton - guess was really lucky to have 3 remaining, however the most annoying part of the package was that letter sign by RA something "enjoy the quality and craftsmanship of the jeans".

I feel like RA will somehow spin this accolade into something like "Award-winning selvedge denim".

Lawless already has complaints with the Bbb in California . If they ever try to open there they won't be credited with the state .. So they probably won't last long .

At least I think that is the Candiani fabric I received instead of the the darker 13.5 oz Candiani I ordered.

Sometimes the jeans are mislabeled with stretch by the middle man as well. If u dont check the denim urself u are left with the wrong descriptions. That Candiani denim had a very similar brother who had stretch and was mixed up a lot

Be sure to check out the comment from "Bethany" defending Lawless and suggesting the review is libellous. Ha-ha.

As if such a comment could possibly not be from somebody, ahem, very closely associated with the company. Although, I do agree with others that it's not really fair as that pair were clearly just a ludicrous mistake - rather than something expressly designed, produced and knowingly sold as a disasterpiece.

On the real though, Bethany is not and can't be Roman, failed LD&Co business owner extraordinaire (for the Google search). The comment post is pretty free of grammatical and spelling errors. Unless Roman spent the time he should have spent on saving his business on English classes, I can attest on that not being Roman.

While we know Roman has the grammatical prowess of a toddler, Laura is probably the one who mans the interwebs to defend "her man" (and to stir the pot). I'm pretty sure "Bethany" is merely Laura trying to stand by her man.

Well, that was basically a perfect example of what needs to happen whenever the BS machine fires up over that VapeNsteal AZ/CA. Just call them out and post google searchable clues. All this happening in an online space that is beyond the control of the dwindling LD goonsquad. Done and done well.

Only in their world would that review of that pair of jeans illicit a laughable and thinly veiled threat of a lawsuit, and a bunch of insults, instead of a proper apologetic response.
On the upside, it means maybe the lights are still on over there, so maybe some items are still being produced?

Agreed i dont think they should have made that list as it was a mistake id rather have than to buy one of those other jeans. I do think they likely created that article as a chance to bash Lawless. There really was no other reason to create such a post if u ask me and got me to lose a lil respect for the person that wrote it and cleared it to be posted

Oh and i feel Bethany is Laura as well who has since gone into hiding with Roman. They must have changed their names and had plastic surgery . If Laura is now Bethany, what do u think Roman changed his name to lol
