Well Roman currently cant pay whose producing his denim (spoke to him this week) and has a deal to continue pushing out product luckily. So many of you might still get some items. I know Laura is the only one left shipping items and roman is probably vaping and watching her do it. I know he does have plenty of product to sell and manny is producing 300+ units a week out of his small facility in Mesa.

Welcome indigobryce, though I don't suspect you'll have one encouraging thing to tell us...haha. Sorry about the current job situation, but I'm glad you aren't associated with this glorious band of D-bags any more.

The rise and fall of the Roman empire...fitting. Well....it wasn't really much of an empire and therefore no real rise...lol...but yeah, I mean seriously it's good to have you here indigobryce. Thanks for joining and being willing to speak the truth.

Cheers Bryce
I have no option of a charge back and not surprisingly the promised refund never manifested. In your opinion what orders are likely to get sent out eg jeans or shirts or jackets. Also what percentage of the custom orders are likely to be fulfilled?
Thanks again

Sorry about the current job situation, but I'm glad you aren't associated with this glorious band of D-bags any more. Yeah it was sad. I had a possible opportunity in Portland and could be there currently running a cool new boutique but chose my path. Thats life, right. Yeah, happy to not be around Roman anymore. That place was toxic

Welcome indigobryce, thanks for joining our little Rag Tag group of Denim exiles. One thing had puzzled me. Why were there so many (or it seemed it) miss sized orders sent out. I ordered XL but recieved XXL on 3 different orders. Why the wrong sizes (was there a rogue computer/employee)? And what happened to all those shirts and jeans sent back? At one point a asked to send me Anything in my size.

Also what percentage of the custom orders are likely to be fulfilled? Thanks again I would doubt you are going to get custom. He stopped that about 2 months before I left telling me to cut by basic sizing and closest match so no more custom. He tried to speed up production by telling me not to listen to requests and just cut basic sizing but out head cutter and pattern maker said to still do it the old way and follow all requests. So im sorry to say but you have probably already gotten and email asking if you would just take ready to wear in place of your custom. His end plan was to just replace custom with RTW or simply refund your money. But from what I know he doesnt have the money to return to any of you currently.

could you say at what order number you stopped cutting at? Thats a tough question because I cut into the 800's but that was skipping a bunch because we didnt have fabric or where waiting on specs from calls or emails. But that was also about 3 months ago. Since then pablo has been cutting bulk but no custom. So Id bet the jacket and skirt binder hasnt gotten much smaller since I left.

At one point a asked to send me Anything in my size. Well thats a much more complex question. half of it was lack of info on orders or mess ups on custom sizing, some where pattern issues which where later resolved and others where simply just mistakes ( i was hired to do admin and desk work, not be a cutter) so I easily could have made a few mistakes. I was cutting production product my second day so Id bet a few mistakes happened (sorry guys, was doing as I was told). And also many problems with tagging from later down the production line. Everything sent back was generally sent back to manny to try and find another close order to send them out for.

I have an order just for one shirt with the candiani IxI that was #749. Am I likely to see it or not? It wasn't much of a custom job except it was the california shirt that was offered for a short time.

The pattern for many of the pieces Roman offered hadnt even been finished when I left. He often would post a sample picture on the website as a new product and the patterns hadnt even been thought up. The Raegan chino patterns where just being finished up when I got shit canned.

What about my Type-2 (1220) and oiled lined cruiser (1676) I cant answer to everyones exact order. I wish I could. But again, I highly doubt it. I left the company when we where cutting orders 800-. And that was 2 months ago, I know production was heavily focused on jeans. But the California contractor was doing the jacket work and he made that deal after I was let go.

So sorry for all the hell you went through, indigobryce. Welcome. No worries. We all bounce back and it helps that Im young. Kahla and Sal both have kids and a family to worry about. Luckily im just a young single guy so Ill be alright. I was always more concerned for them. Perhaps Im in Phoenix for a reason. I mean I learned how to sew, work with patterns, do leather work, and also learned how not to run a company. All useful life lessons.

Also, I was skeptical previously and thinking that it was likely mainly just incompetence on the part of roman (yeah I tagged him...and what? Haha.) But it now very definitely reads as though he was engaged in a criminal operation if he was actively selling items he rightly knew he couldn't possibly produce.

But it now very definitely reads as though he was engaged in a criminal operation if he was actively selling items he rightly knew he couldn't possibly produce. I think he thought he could. He didnt know much about his own production and didnt want to hear it when we wanted to tell him. We often would remind him or try to have meetings with him about the dire state of affairs. He'd usually blow me off or sometimes pretend to listen and do nothing about it. Weeks would go by with no changes and him galavanting off to get boba or take pictures. He was rarely in the production facility and didnt really know what was going on. Manny never really told him much because he was trying to protect the people working hard to push the product out. But nothing could have saved it. The math just never worked out and when anyone tried to tell him he simply wouldnt listen. Biggest issue I saw was him promising the American Selvedge co denim without even testing the looms. They released the press release and the loom had only been wired to turn on and hadnt even been tested to see if it properly ran or needed a good tune up. Also the fact we had noone to operate it. He found a guy who ran old Jacquard looms but didnt have the money to hire him. He had the extra denim on order from Japan to replace the supima stuff if the looms didnt work but I know how japanese companies work, the need cash up front before anything goes out. So the only way he was getting that denim was if he had the money and that I know he didnt have.

indigobryce, all very interesting. Presumably the lack of certainty over the 24oz was why he gave that weird weight range - was it 22-28oz? And that suggests he always thought that he wouldn't be producing what he was offering and what people thought they were buying. I wonder how many people paid for the 24oz. Poor guys. And poor everyone else.
